Job 26

1 Then Job answered:	1 Rispose Iob, e disse:
2 "How you have helped him who has no power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!	2 Di chi se' tu posto in adiutorio? or (perchè) alli miseri? e sostenti lo braccio (loro) a colui che non è forte?
3 How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!	3 A chi desti lo consiglio? forse che a colui che non ha sapienza, e la providenza tua hai dimostrato esser molta.
4 With whose help have you uttered words, and whose spirit has come forth from you?	4 Chi volesti ammaestrare? Forse colui che fece la vita?
5 The shades below tremble, the waters and their inhabitants.	5 Ecco li giganti piagnono sotto le acque, e coloro che àbitano con loro.
6 Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.	6 Ignudo è l' inferno dinanzi a lui, e niuno coprimento è alla perdizione.
7 He stretches out the north over the void, and hangs the earth upon nothing.	7 Il quale estende lo vento aquilonare sopra lo vôto, e appicca la terra sopra nulla.
8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them.	8 Il quale lega l'acque sopra i nuvoli, accid che non rompano parimente (da ogni parte e vengano) di sotto.
9 He covers the face of the moon, and spreads over it his cloud.	9 Il quale tiene lo volto del suo trono, e spande sopra quello la sua nebbia.
10 He has described a circle upon the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.	10 Intorniò lo termine colle acque, insino che finiscano la luce e le tenebre.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble, and are astounded at his rebuke.	11 Le colonne del cielo tremono, e spaventaronsi alla sua volontade.
12 By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he smote Rahab.	12 Nella fortezza sua repentemente li mari sono raunati, e la sua prudenza percosse lo superbo.
13 By his wind the heavens were made fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.	13 Lo spirito suo ornò li (suoi) cieli; e suavemente conducendo, la sua mano tradusse lo serpente tortuoso.
14 Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways; and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?"	14 Ecco, queste cose dette sono dalla parte delle sue vie; e conciosiacosa che a pena una piccola stilla del suo sermone abbiamo udita, chi potrà riguardare allo tuono della sua grandezza?
