Esther 10

1 King Ahasuerus laid tribute on the land and on the coastlands of the sea.	1 Der König Achaschwerosch legte dem Land und den Meeresinseln eine Fron auf.
2 And all the acts of his power and might, and the full account of the high honor of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?	2 Seine gewaltigen und machtvollen Taten sowie der genaue Bericht über die vom König dem Mordekaj verliehene Ehrenstellung, all das steht aufgezeichnet im Buch der Chronik der Könige von Medien und Persien.
3 For Mordecai the Jew was next in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brethren, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.	3 Denn der Jude Mordekaj folgte gleich nach dem König Achaschwerosch, war angesehen bei den Juden und beliebt bei seinen vielen Stammesbrüdern. Er strebte nach dem Besten für sein Volk und war um das Heil seines ganzen Stammes besorgt.
4 And Mordecai said, "These things have come from God.	4 Mordekaj sprach: "Von Gott her ist dies geschehen.
5 For I remember the dream that I had concerning these matters, and none of them has failed to be fulfilled.	5 Ich erinnerte mich nämlich des Traumgesichts, das ich über diese Vorgänge schaute. Nichts davon ging unerfüllt vorüber.
6 The tiny spring which became a river, and there was light and the sun and abundant water the river is Esther, whom the king married and made queen.	6 Der kleine Quell, der zum Strom ward [auch Licht und Sonne und viel Wasser waren dabei], dieser Strom ist Ester, die der König heiratete und zur Königin machte.
7 The two dragons are Haman and myself.	7 Die zwei Drachen aber sind ich und Haman.
8 The nations are those that gathered to destroy the name of the Jews.	8 Und die Völker sind jene, die sich zusammenrotteten, um das Andenken an die Juden auszutilgen.
9 And my nation, this is Israel, who cried out to God and were saved. The Lord has saved his people; the Lord has delivered us from all these evils; God has done great signs and wonders, which have not occurred among the nations.	9 Mein Volk aber sind die Israeliten, die zu Gott riefen und Rettung fanden. Der Herr rettete sein Volk und erlöste uns aus all diesen Leiden. Gott vollbrachte die Zeichen und gewaltigen Wunder, wie sie noch nie unter den Heidenvölkern geschehen sind.
10 For this purpose he made two lots, one for the people of God and one for all the nations.	10 Darum hat man zwei Lose gefertigt, eines für das Gottesvolk, das andere für alle Heidenvölker.
11 And these two lots came to the hour and moment and day of decision before God and among all the nations.	11 Diese beiden Lose fielen auf eine festgesetzte Stunde und Zeit und auf einen Gerichtstag vor Gott und unter allen Völkern.
12 And God remembered his people and vindicated his inheritance.	12 Gott erinnerte sich seines Volkes und verhalf seinem Erbteil zum Recht.
13 So they will observe these days in the month of Adar, on the fourteenth and fifteenth of that month, with an assembly and joy and gladness before God, from generation to generation for ever among his people Israel."	13 Diese Tage im Monat Adar, am 14. und 15. Tag dieses Monats, sollen von ihnen mit Festversammlung, Jubel und Freude vor Gott gefeiert werden durch alle Generationen immerdar in seinem Volke Israel!"
