A Psalm of David himself. The Lord has reigned: let the peoples be angry. He sits upon the cherubim: let the earth be moved. | 1 [Psalm] Sing a new song to Yahweh, for he has performed wonders, his saving power is in his righthand and his holy arm. |
The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high above all peoples. | 2 Yahweh has made known his saving power, revealed his saving justice for the nations to see, |
May they confess to your great name, for it is terrible and holy. | 3 mindful of his faithful love and his constancy to the House of Israel. The whole wide world has seenthe saving power of our God. |
And the honor of the king loves judgment. You have prepared guidance. You have accomplished judgment and justice in Jacob. | 4 Acclaim Yahweh, all the earth, burst into shouts of joy! |
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore the footstool of his feet, for it is holy. | 5 Play to Yahweh on the harp, to the sound of instruments; |
Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel is among those who call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heeded them. | 6 to the sound of trumpet and horn, acclaim the presence of the King. |
He spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies and the precept that he gave them. | 7 Let the sea thunder, and al that it holds, the world and al who live in it. |
You heeded them, O Lord our God. You were a forgiving God to them, though taking vengeance on all their inventions. | 8 Let the rivers clap their hands, and the mountains shout for joy together, |
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore on his holy mountain. For the Lord our God is holy. | 9 at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge the earth; he wil judge the world with saving justiceand the nations with fairness. |
