Psalms 25

1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. Judge me, Lord, for I have been walking in my innocence, and by hoping in the Lord, I will not be weakened.	1 (Per la fine. Salmo di David). Fammi giustizia, o Signore, perchè io ho camminato nell'innocenza, e sperando nel Signore, senza vacillare.
2 Examine me, Lord, and test me: enkindle my temperament and my heart.	2 Esaminami, o Signore, mettimi alla prova, metti al fuoco i miei affetti e il mio cuore.
3 For your mercy is before my eyes, and I am serene in your truth.	3 La tua misericordia è davanti ai miei occhi, e mi diletto della tua verità.
4 I have not sat with the council of emptiness, and I will not enter with those who carry out injustice.	4 Non mi sono assiso nell'adunanza della vanità, non ho praticato mai con i malvagi.
5 I have hated the assembly of the malicious; and I will not sit with the impious.	5 Odio la società dei cattivi, e non mi metto a sedere accanto agli empi.
6 I will wash my hands among the innocent, and I will surround your altar, O Lord,	6 Lavo tra gl'innocenti le mie mani, e vo intorno al tuo altare, o Signore,
7 so that I may hear the voice of your praise and describe all your wonders.	7 Per sentire le voci delle lodi e narrar tutte le tue maraviglie.
8 O Lord, I have loved the beauty of your house and the dwelling place of your glory.	8 Signore, io amo lo splendore della tua casa e il luogo dove abita la tua gloria.
9 O God, do not let my soul perish with the impious, nor my life with the men of blood,	9 O Dio, non perdere cogli empi l'anima mia, nè cogli uomini sanguinari la mia vita.
10 in whose hands are iniquities: their right hand has been filled by bribes.	10 Nelle loro mani sta l'iniquità, la loro destra è piena di regali.
11 But as for me, I have been walking in my innocence. Redeem me, and have mercy on me.	11 Ma io procedo nella mia innocenza: salvami ed abbi pietà di me.
12 My foot has stood firm in the straight path. In the churches, I will bless you, O Lord.	12 Il mio piede sta sicuro sulla retta via: nelle adunanze ti benedirò, o Signore.
