1 Therefore call, if there are any who will respond to you, and turn to one or another of the saints.	1 ¡Clama, a ver si alguien te responde! ¿A cuál de los santos te volverás?
2 Truly, anger condemns the foolish to death, and envy kills the petty.	2 Porque la exasperación mata al insensato y la pasión hace morir al necio.
3 I have seen a fool with a strong root, and I have cursed his excellence without hesitation.	3 Yo he visto al insensato echar raíces, pero al instante maldije su morada.
4 His sons will be far from prosperity and will be crushed at the gate, and there will be none who can rescue them.	4 Sus hijos estarán lejos de toda ayuda, aplastados en la Puerta, sin que nadie los libre.
5 Their harvest, the starving will eat. The armed man will rob him, and the thirsty will drink his resources.	5 Lo que ellos cosechen se lo comerá el hambriento, y el sediento suspirará por sus riquezas.
6 Nothing on earth occurs without a reason, and sorrow does not rise from the earth.	6 No, el mal no sale del suelo ni la miseria brota de la tierra:

9 He does great and unfathomable and miraculous things without number.	9 El realiza obras grandes e inescrutables, maravillas que no se pueden enumerar.

11 He places the humble on high and encourages the grieving towards health.	11 Pone a los humildes en las alturas y los afligidos alcanzan la salvación.
12 He dispels the thoughts of the spiteful, lest their hands be able to complete what they had begun.	12 Hace fracasar los proyectos de los astutos para que no prospere el trabajo de sus manos.
13 He catches the wise in their cleverness and dissipates the counsel of the perverse.	13 Sorprende a los sabios en su propia astucia y el plan de los malvados se deshace rápidamente.
14 They will encounter darkness in the daytime, and they will grope at midday just as in the night.	14 En pleno día, chocan contra las tinieblas, y andan a tientas al mediodía, como si fuera de noche.
15 Thereafter, he will act to save the needy from the sword of their mouth, and the poor from the hand of the violent.	15 El salva al huérfano de la espada, y al indigente, de la mano del poderoso.
16 And there will be hope for those in need, for iniquity will diminish its speech.	16 Así, el débil recupera la esperanza y los malvados cierran la boca.

18 For he wounds and he cures; he strikes and his hands will heal.	18 Porque él hiere, pero venda la herida; golpea, pero sana con sus manos.
19 He will deliver you into six tribulations, and in the seventh, evil will not touch you.	19 Seis veces te librará de la angustia, y la séptima, el mal no te alcanzará.
20 During famine, he will rescue you from death, and during war, from the hand of the sword.	20 En tiempo de hambre, te librará de la muerte, y en la guerra, del filo de la espada.
21 You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and you will not fear calamity when it arrives.	21 Estarás protegido contra el azote de las malas lenguas y no temerás cuando llegue la devastación.
22 In desolation and in famine, you will laugh, and you will not dread the beasts of the earth.	22 Te reirás de la devastación y del hambre y no temerás a las fieras de la tierra.
23 For you are in harmony with the stones of the land, and the beasts of the earth will make peace with you.	23 Sí, tendrás una alianza con las piedras del campo y las fieras estarán en paz contigo.
24 And you will know that your home has peace, and, concerning your appearance, you will not sin.	24 Sabrás que en tu carpa hay prosperidad, y cuando revises tu morada, nada faltará.
25 Likewise, you will know that your offspring will be manifold and your progeny will be like the grass of the earth.	25 Verás que se multiplica tu descendencia y que tus retoños son como la hierba de la tierra.
26 You will enter the grave with abundance, just as a crop of wheat is gathered in its time.	26 Llegarás a la tumba lleno de vigor como se levanta una parva a su debido tiempo.
27 Behold, this is just as we have found it, which you have heard; walk it through your mind.	27 Esto es lo que hemos comprobado, y es así: escúchalo bien, y saca provecho.
