Revelation 21

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now,and there was no longer any sea.	1 E vidi un nuovo cielo, e una nuova terra. Imperocché il primo cielo, e la prima terra passò, e il mare già più non è.
2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bridedressed for her husband.	2 Ed io Giovanni vidi la città santa, la nuova Gerusalemme scendere da Dio dal cielo, messa in ordine, come una sposa, che si è abbigliata per il suo sposo.
3 Then I heard a loud voice cal from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He willmake his home among them; they will be his people, and he wil be their God, God-with-them.	3 E udii una gran voce dal trono, che diceva: ecco il tabernacolo di Dio con gli uomini, e abiterà con essi. Ed essi saran suo popolo, e lo stesso Dio sarà con essi Dio loro:
4 He wil wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning orsadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'	4 E asciugherà Dio dagli occhi loro tutte le lagrime: e non saravvi più morte, né lutto, né strida, nè dolore vi sarà più, perché le prime cose sono passate.
5 Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this,"What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."	5 E quegli, che sedeva sul trono, disse: ecco, che io rinnovello le cose tutte. E disse a me: scrivi: imperocché queste parole sono degnissime di fede, e veraci.
6 Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and theEnd. I wil give water from the wel of life free to anybody who is thirsty;	6 E disse a me: è fatto: io sono l'alfa, e l'omega: principio, e fine. Io a chi ha sete darò gratuitamente della fontana di acqua di vita.
7 anyone who proves victorious wil inherit these things; and I will be his God and he wil be my son.	7 Chi sarà vincitore, sarà padrone di queste cose, e io sarogli Dio, ed ei sarammi figliuolo.
8 But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers andthe sexual y immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second deathin the burning lake of sulphur.'	8 Poi paurosi poi, e per gli increduli, gli esecrandi, e gli omicidi, e fornicatori, e venefici, e idolatri, e per tutti i bugiardi, la loro porzione sarà nello stagno ardente di fuoco, e di zolfo: che è la seconda morte.
9 One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls ful of the seven final plagues came to speak to meand said, 'Come here and I wil show you the bride that the Lamb has married.'	9 E venne uno de' sette Angeli, che aveano le ampolle piene delle sette ultime piaghe, e parlò meco, e' mi disse: vieni, e ti farò vedere la sposa, consorte dell'Agnello.
10 In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holycity, coming down out of heaven from God.	10 E portommi in ispirito sopra un monte grande, e sublime, e mi fece vedere la città santa, Gerusalemme, che scendea dal cielo da Dio,
11 It had al the glory of God and glittered like some precious jewel of crystal-clear diamond.	11 La quale avea la chiarezza di Dio: e la luce di lei era simile ad una pietra preziosa, come a pietra di diaspro, come il cristallo.
12 Its wal was of a great height and had twelve gates; at each of the twelve gates there was an angel, and over the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel;	12 Ed aveva una muraglia grande, ed alta, che avea dodici porte: e alle porte dodici Angeli, e scritti sopra i nomi, che sono i nomi delle dodici tribù d'Israele.
13 on the east there were three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on thewest three gates.	13 A oriente tre porte, a settentrione tre porte, a mezzogiorno tre porte, e ad occidente tre porte.
14 The city wal s stood on twelve foundation stones, each one of which bore the name of one of thetwelve apostles of the Lamb.	14 E la muraglia della città avea dodici fondamenti, ed in essi i dodici nomi de' dodici Apostoli dell'Agnello.
15 The angel that was speaking to me was carrying a gold measuring rod to measure the city and itsgates and wal .	15 E quegli, che meco parlava, aveva una canna d'oro da misurare, per prendere le misure della città, e delle porte, e della muraglia:
16 The plan of the city is perfectly square, its length the same as its breadth. He measured the city withhis rod and it was twelve thousand furlongs, equal in length and in breadth, and equal in height.	16 E la città è quadrangolare, e la sua lunghezza è uguale alla larghezza: misurò la città colla canna d'oro in dodici mila stadi: e sono eguali la lunghezza, e l'altezza, e la larghezza di lei.
17 He measured its wal , and this was a hundred and forty-four cubits high -- by human measurements.	17 E misurò la muraglia di essa in cento quarantaquattro cubiti, a misura d'uomo, qual è quella dell'Angelo.
18 The wall was built of diamond, and the city of pure gold, like clear glass.	18 E la sua muraglia era costruttadi pietra iaspide: la città stessa poi oro puro simile al vetro puro.
19 The foundations of the city wall were faced with al kinds of precious stone: the first with diamond, thesecond lapis lazuli, the third turquoise, the fourth crystal,	19 E i fondamenti delle mura della città ornati di ogni sorta di pietre preziose. Il primo fondamento, l'iaspide: il secondo lo zaffiro: il terzo il calcedonio: il quarto, lo smeraldo:
20 the fifth agate, the sixth ruby, the seventh gold quartz, the eighth malachite, the ninth topaz, the tenthemerald, the eleventh sapphire and the twelfth amethyst.	20 Il quinto, il sardoniche: il sesto, il sardio: il settimo, il crisolito: l'ottavo, il berillo: il nono, il topazio: il decimo, il crisopraso: l'undecimo, il giacinto: il duodecimo, l'ametisto.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate being made of a single pearl, and the main street ofthe city was pure gold, transparent as glass.	21 E le dodici porte sono dodici perle: e ciascuna porta era d'una perla: e la piazza della città, oro puro, trasparente come il cristallo.
22 I could not see any temple in the city since the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb were themselvesthe temple,	22 Né in essa vidi tempio. Imperocché suo tempio è il Signore Dio onnipotente, e l'Agnello.
23 and the city did not need the sun or the moon for light, since it was lit by the radiant glory of God, andthe Lamb was a lighted torch for it.	23 E la città non ha bisogno di sole, né di luna, che la illuminino: conciossiaché lo splendore di Dio la illumina, e sua lampana è l'Agnello.
24 The nations wil come to its light and the kings of the earth wil bring it their treasures.	24 E le genti cammineranno dietro alla luce di essa: e i Re della terra porteranno a lei la lor gloria, e l'onore.
25 Its gates will never be closed by day -- and there will be no night there-	25 E le sue porte non si chiuderanno nel giorno: perché notte ivi non sarà.
26 and the nations wil come, bringing their treasure and their wealth.	26 E a lei sarà portata la gloria, e l'onore delle genti.
27 Nothing unclean may come into it: no one who does what is loathsome or false, but only those whoare listed in the Lamb's book of life.	27 Non entrerà in essa nulla di immondo, o chi commette abominazione, e la menzogna, ma bensì quelli, che son descritti nel libro della vita dell'Agnello.
