Revelation 21

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now,and there was no longer any sea.	1 Ekkor új eget és új földet láttam , mert az első ég és az első föld elmúlt, és a tenger sem volt többé.
2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bridedressed for her husband.	2 Láttam a szent várost, az új Jeruzsálemet Istentől leszállni az égből, mint a férjének felékesített menyasszonyt .
3 Then I heard a loud voice cal from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He willmake his home among them; they will be his people, and he wil be their God, God-with-them.	3 Hallottam, hogy egy harsány hang a trón felől azt mondta: »Íme, Isten hajléka az emberek között! Velük fog lakni, s ők az ő népe lesznek. Maga a velük levő Isten lesz az ő Istenük .
4 He wil wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning orsadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'	4 Isten letöröl majd a szemükről minden könnyet , és nem lesz többé sem halál, sem gyász, sem jajgatás , és fájdalom sem lesz többé, mert az elsők elmúltak.«
5 Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this,"What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."	5 A trónon ülő így szólt: »Íme, megújítok mindent!« És azt mondta nekem: »Írd: Ezek az igék hitelesek és igazak.«
6 Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and theEnd. I wil give water from the wel of life free to anybody who is thirsty;	6 Aztán azt mondta nekem: »Beteljesedett! Én vagyok az Alfa és az Ómega, a kezdet és a vég. A szomjazónak ingyen adok az élet vizének forrásából .
7 anyone who proves victorious wil inherit these things; and I will be his God and he wil be my son.	7 Mindez azé lesz, aki győzni fog. Én Istene leszek, ő pedig az én fiam lesz .
8 But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers andthe sexual y immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second deathin the burning lake of sulphur.'	8 De a gyáváknak és a hitetleneknek, a megfertőzötteknek, gyilkosoknak, paráznáknak, varázslóknak, bálványimádóknak és minden hazugnak osztályrésze a tűzzel és kénkővel égő tóban lesz . Ez a második halál.«
9 One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls ful of the seven final plagues came to speak to meand said, 'Come here and I wil show you the bride that the Lamb has married.'	9 Akkor odajött hozzám a hét angyal közül az egyik, akiknél az utolsó hét csapással teli csésze volt , és így szólt hozzám: »Gyere, megmutatom neked az asszonyt, a Bárány jegyesét!«
10 In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holycity, coming down out of heaven from God.	10 Lélekben elvitt egy nagy és magas hegyre , és megmutatta nekem a szent várost, Jeruzsálemet , amely a mennyből szállt alá Istentől.

12 Its wal was of a great height and had twelve gates; at each of the twelve gates there was an angel, and over the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel;	12 Nagy és magas fala volt, tizenkét kapuval, és a kapuk fölött tizenkét angyal. 16 The plan of the city is perfectly square, its length the same as its breadth. Megmérte a várost az aranynáddal: tizenkétezer stádium. A hossza, a szélessége és a magassága egyforma volt.
17 He measured its wal , and this was a hundred and forty-four cubits high -- by human measurements.	17 Megmérte a falait is: száznegyvennégy könyök, az ember, vagyis az angyal mértéke szerint.
18 The wall was built of diamond, and the city of pure gold, like clear glass.	18 A falának anyaga jáspiskő volt; maga a város pedig színarany, tiszta üveghez hasonló.
19 The foundations of the city wall were faced with al kinds of precious stone: the first with diamond, thesecond lapis lazuli, the third turquoise, the fourth crystal,	19 A város falának alapkövei minden drágakővel ékesek. Az első alapkő jáspis, a második zafír, a harmadik kalcedon, a negyedik smaragd,
20 the fifth agate, the sixth ruby, the seventh gold quartz, the eighth malachite, the ninth topaz, the tenthemerald, the eleventh sapphire and the twelfth amethyst.	20 az ötödik szárdonix, a hatodik karneol, a hetedik krizolit, a nyolcadik berill, a kilencedik topáz, a tizedik krizopráz, a tizenegyedik jácint, a tizenkettedik ametiszt.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate being made of a single pearl, and the main street ofthe city was pure gold, transparent as glass.	21 A tizenkét kapu tizenkét drágagyöngy, és egy-egy kapu egy-egy drágagyöngyből áll. A város utcája színarany, mint az átlátszó üveg.
22 I could not see any temple in the city since the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb were themselvesthe temple,	22 Templomot nem láttam benne, mert az Úr, a mindenható Isten a temploma, és a Bárány.
23 and the city did not need the sun or the moon for light, since it was lit by the radiant glory of God, andthe Lamb was a lighted torch for it.	23 A városnak nincs szüksége sem a napra, sem a holdra, hogy világítsanak benne, mert Isten dicsősége világítja meg azt , és lámpása a Bárány.
24 The nations wil come to its light and the kings of the earth wil bring it their treasures.	24 A nemzetek az ő világosságában járnak, s dicsőségüket hozzá viszik a föld királyai.
25 Its gates will never be closed by day -- and there will be no night there-	25 Kapuit nem zárják be egész nap, mert éjszaka nem lesz ott.
26 and the nations wil come, bringing their treasure and their wealth.	26 Odaviszik a nemzetek dicsőségét és gazdagságát .
27 Nothing unclean may come into it: no one who does what is loathsome or false, but only those whoare listed in the Lamb's book of life.	27 Nem lépnek be oda tisztátalanok, sem azok, akik undokságot és hazugságot követnek el, csak azok, akik be vannak írva a Bárány életkönyvébe.
