Revelation 10

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Then I saw another powerful angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in cloud, with a rainbow overhis head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were pillars of fire.	1 Vi então outro anjo vigoroso descer do céu, revestido de uma nuvem e com o arco-íris em torno da cabeça. Seu rosto era como sol, e as suas pernas como colunas de fogo.
2 In his hand he had a small scroll, unrol ed; he put his right foot in the sea and his left foot on the land	2 Segurava na mão um pequeno livro aberto. Pôs o pé direito sobre o mar, o esquerdo sobre a terra
3 and he shouted so loud, it was like a lion roaring. At this, the seven claps of thunder made themselvesheard	3 e começou a clamar em alta voz, como um leão que ruge. Quando clamou, os sete trovões ressoaram.
4 and when the seven thunderclaps had sounded, I was preparing to write, when I heard a voice fromheaven say to me, 'Keep the words of the seven thunderclaps secret and do not write them down.'	4 Quando cessaram de falar, dispunha-me a escrever, mas ouvi uma voz do céu que dizia: Sela o que falaram os sete trovões e não o escrevas.
5 Then the angel that I had seen, standing on the sea and the land, raised his right hand to heaven,	5 Então o anjo, que eu vira de pé sobre o mar e a terra, levantou a mão direita para o céu
6 and swore by him who lives for ever and ever, and made heaven and all that it contains, and earth andal it contains, and the sea and al it contains, 'The time of waiting is over;	6 e jurou por aquele que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, que criou o céu e tudo o que há nele, a terra e tudo o que ela contém, o mar e tudo o que encerra, que não haveria mais tempo;
7 at the time when the seventh angel is heard sounding his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfil ed,just as he announced in the gospel to his servants the prophets.'	7 mas nos dias em que soasse a trombeta do sétimo anjo, se cumpriria o mistério de Deus, de acordo com a boa nova que confiou a seus servos, os profetas.
8 Then I heard the voice I had heard from heaven speaking to me again. 'Go', it said, 'and take thatopen scroll from the hand of the angel standing on sea and land.'	8 Então a voz que ouvi do céu falou-me de novo, e disse: Vai e toma o pequeno livro aberto da mão do anjo que está em pé sobre o mar e a terra.
9 I went to the angel and asked him to give me the smal scrol , and he said, 'Take it and eat it; it wilturn your stomach sour, but it wil taste as sweet as honey.'	9 Fui eu, pois, ter com o anjo, dizendo-lhe que me desse o pequeno livro. E ele me disse: Toma e devora-o! Ele te será amargo nas entranhas, mas, na boca, doce como o mel.
10 So I took it out of the angel's hand, and I ate it and it tasted sweet as honey, but when I had eaten itmy stomach turned sour.	10 Tomei então o pequeno livro da mão do anjo e o comi. De fato, em minha boca tinha a doçura do mel, mas depois de o ter comido, amargou-me nas entranhas.
11 Then I was told, 'You are to prophesy again, this time against many different nations and countriesand languages and kings.'	11 Então foi-me explicado: Urge que ainda profetizes de novo a numerosas nações, povos, línguas e reis.
