Revelation 10

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Then I saw another powerful angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in cloud, with a rainbow overhis head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were pillars of fire.	1 Vidi poi un altro angelo, possente, discendere dal cielo: era avvolto in una nube e l'arcobaleno cingeva il suo capo; la sua faccia brillava come il sole; le sue gambe sembravano due colonne di fuoco.
2 In his hand he had a small scroll, unrol ed; he put his right foot in the sea and his left foot on the land	2 Aveva in mano un libriccino aperto. Posto il piede destro sul mare e il sinistro sulla terra,
3 and he shouted so loud, it was like a lion roaring. At this, the seven claps of thunder made themselvesheard	3 emise un grido fortissimo, simile al ruggito del leone. Al suo grido risposero con le loro voci i sette tuoni.
4 and when the seven thunderclaps had sounded, I was preparing to write, when I heard a voice fromheaven say to me, 'Keep the words of the seven thunderclaps secret and do not write them down.'	4 Quando questi ebbero parlato, mi accingevo a scrivere. Ma si fece udire dal cielo una voce che mi disse: "Suggella quanto hanno detto i sette tuoni e non metterlo in iscritto".
5 Then the angel that I had seen, standing on the sea and the land, raised his right hand to heaven,	5 Quindi l'angelo che prima avevo visto posarsi sul mare e sulla terra levò la mano destra verso il cielo
6 and swore by him who lives for ever and ever, and made heaven and all that it contains, and earth andal it contains, and the sea and al it contains, 'The time of waiting is over;	6 e giurò nel nome di Colui che vive nei secoli dei secoli, Colui che ha creato il cielo e ciò che esso contiene, la terra e quanto essa contiene, il mare e ciò che esso contiene: "Non vi sarà più alcun indugio;
7 at the time when the seventh angel is heard sounding his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfil ed,just as he announced in the gospel to his servants the prophets.'	7 ma quando il settimo angelo farà udire il suono della sua tromba, allora sarà consumato il mistero di Dio, secondo quanto ha annunciato ai profeti, suoi servi".
8 Then I heard the voice I had heard from heaven speaking to me again. 'Go', it said, 'and take thatopen scroll from the hand of the angel standing on sea and land.'	8 Poi la stessa voce che avevo udita dal cielo di nuovo mi parlò e disse: "Va', prendi il libriccino aperto dalla mano dell'angelo che sta posato sul mare e sulla terra".
9 I went to the angel and asked him to give me the smal scrol , and he said, 'Take it and eat it; it wilturn your stomach sour, but it wil taste as sweet as honey.'	9 Io allora m'appressai all'angelo pregandolo di darmi il libriccino. Egli mi disse: "Prendilo e inghiottilo: esso sarà amaro al tuo stomaco, nella bocca sarà dolce come il miele".
10 So I took it out of the angel's hand, and I ate it and it tasted sweet as honey, but when I had eaten itmy stomach turned sour.	10 Presi il libriccino dalla mano dell'angelo e lo inghiottii: nella bocca era dolce come il miele; ma dopo che l'ebbi inghiottito, le mie viscere si riempirono d'amarezza.
11 Then I was told, 'You are to prophesy again, this time against many different nations and countriesand languages and kings.'	11 Quindi mi fu detto: "E' necessario che tu faccia ancora profezie su popoli, nazioni e re senza numero".
