1 The first covenant also had its laws governing worship and its sanctuary, a sanctuary on this earth.	1 Der erste Bund hatte gottesdienstliche Vorschriften und ein irdisches Heiligtum.
2 There was a tent which comprised two compartments: the first, in which the lamp-stand, the table andthe loaves of permanent offering were kept, was cal ed the Holy Place;	2 Es wurde nämlich ein erstes Zelt errichtet, in dem sich der Leuchter, der Tisch und die heiligen Brote befanden; dieses Zelt wurde das Heilige genannt.
3 then beyond the second veil, a second compartment which was called the Holy of Holies	3 Hinter dem zweiten Vorhang aber war ein Zelt, das sogenannte Allerheiligste,
4 to which belonged the gold altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant, plated al over with gold. Inthis were kept the gold jar containing the manna, Aaron's branch that grew the buds, and the tables of thecovenant.	4 mit dem goldenen Rauchopferaltar und der ganz mit Gold überzogenen Bundeslade; darin waren ein goldener Krug mit dem Manna, der Stab Aarons, der Triebe angesetzt hatte, und die Bundestafeln;
5 On top of it were the glorious winged creatures, overshadowing the throne of mercy. This is not the timeto go into detail about this.	5 über ihr waren die Kerubim der Herrlichkeit, die die Sühneplatte überschatteten. Doch es ist nicht möglich, darüber jetzt im Einzelnen zu reden.
6 Under these provisions, priests go regularly into the outer tent to carry out their acts of worship,	6 So also ist das alles aufgebaut. In das erste Zelt gehen die Priester das ganze Jahr hinein, um die heiligen Dienste zu verrichten.
7 but the second tent is entered only once a year, and then only by the high priest who takes in the bloodto make an offering for his own and the people's faults of inadvertence.	7 In das zweite Zelt aber geht nur einmal im Jahr der Hohepriester allein hinein, und zwar mit dem Blut, das er für sich und für die Vergehen des Volkes darbringt.
8 By this, the Holy Spirit means us to see that as long as the old tent stands, the way into the holy placeis not opened up;	8 Dadurch deutet der Heilige Geist an, dass der Weg in das Heiligtum noch nicht sichtbar geworden ist, solange das erste Zelt Bestand hat.
9 it is a symbol for this present time. None of the gifts and sacrifices offered under these regulations canpossibly bring any worshipper to perfection in his conscience;	9 Das ist ein Sinnbild, das auf die gegenwärtige Zeit hinweist; denn es werden Gaben und Opfer dargebracht, die das Gewissen des Opfernden nicht zur Vollkommenheit führen können;
10 they are rules about outward life, connected with food and drink and washing at various times, whichare in force only until the time comes to set things right.	10 es handelt sich nur um Speisen und Getränke und allerlei Waschungen, äußerliche Vorschriften, die bis zu der Zeit einer besseren Ordnung auferlegt worden sind.
11 But now Christ has come, as the high priest of al the blessings which were to come. He has passedthrough the greater, the more perfect tent, not made by human hands, that is, not of this created order;	11 Christus aber ist gekommen als Hoherpriester der künftigen Güter; und durch das erhabenere und vollkommenere Zelt, das nicht von Menschenhand gemacht, das heißt nicht von dieser Welt ist,
12 and he has entered the sanctuary once and for all, taking with him not the blood of goats and bulcalves, but his own blood, having won an eternal redemption.	12 ist er ein für allemal in das Heiligtum hineingegangen, nicht mit dem Blut von Böcken und jungen Stieren, sondern mit seinem eigenen Blut, und so hat er eine ewige Erlösung bewirkt.
13 The blood of goats and bul s and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkled on those who have incurreddefilement, may restore their bodily purity.	13 Denn wenn schon das Blut von Böcken und Stieren und die Asche einer Kuh die Unreinen, die damit besprengt werden, so heiligt, dass sie leiblich rein werden,
14 How much more wil the blood of Christ, who offered himself, blameless as he was, to God throughthe eternal Spirit, purify our conscience from dead actions so that we can worship the living God.	14 wie viel mehr wird das Blut Christi, der sich selbst kraft ewigen Geistes Gott als makelloses Opfer dargebracht hat, unser Gewissen von toten Werken reinigen, damit wir dem lebendigen Gott dienen.
15 This makes him the mediator of a new covenant, so that, now that a death has occurred to redeem thesins committed under an earlier covenant, those who have been cal ed to an eternal inheritance may receive thepromise.	15 Und darum ist er der Mittler eines neuen Bundes; sein Tod hat die Erlösung von den im ersten Bund begangenen Übertretungen bewirkt, damit die Berufenen das verheißene ewige Erbe erhalten.
16 Now wherever a wil is in question, the death of the testator must be established;	16 Wo nämlich ein Testament vorliegt, muss der Tod des Erblassers nachgewiesen werden;
17 a testament comes into effect only after a death, since it has no force while the testator is stil alive.	17 denn ein Testament wird erst im Todesfall rechtskräftig und gilt nicht, solange der Erblasser noch lebt.
18 That is why even the earlier covenant was inaugurated with blood,	18 Daher ist auch der erste Bund mit Blut in Kraft gesetzt worden.
19 and why, after Moses had promulgated al the commandments of the Law to the people, he took thecalves' blood, the goats' blood and some water, and with these he sprinkled the book itself and all the people,using scarlet wool and hyssop;	19 Nachdem Mose jedes Gebot dem Gesetz gemäß dem ganzen Volk vorgelesen hatte, nahm er das Blut der jungen Stiere und der Böcke, dazu Wasser, rote Wolle und Ysop, besprengte das Buch selbst und das ganze Volk
20 saying as he did so: This is the blood of the covenant that God has made with you.	20 und sagte: Das ist das Blut des Bundes, den Gott für euch eingesetzt hat.
21 And he sprinkled both the tent and all the liturgical vessels with blood in the same way.	21 Dann besprengte er auch das Zelt und alle gottesdienstlichen Geräte auf gleiche Weise mit dem Blut.
22 In fact, according to the Law, practical y every purification takes place by means of blood; and if thereis no shedding of blood, there is no remission.	22 Fast alles wird nach dem Gesetz mit Blut gereinigt, und ohne dass Blut vergossen wird, gibt es keine Vergebung.
23 Only the copies of heavenly things are purified in this way; the heavenly things themselves have to bepurified by a higher sort of sacrifice than this.	23 Durch solche Mittel müssen also die Abbilder der himmlischen Dinge gereinigt werden; die himmlischen Dinge selbst aber erfordern wirksamere Opfer.
24 It is not as though Christ had entered a man-made sanctuary which was merely a model of the realone; he entered heaven itself, so that he now appears in the presence of God on our behalf.	24 Denn Christus ist nicht in ein von Menschenhand errichtetes Heiligtum hineingegangen, in ein Abbild des wirklichen, sondern in den Himmel selbst, um jetzt für uns vor Gottes Angesicht zu erscheinen;
25 And he does not have to offer himself again and again, as the high priest goes into the sanctuary yearafter year with the blood that is not his own,	25 auch nicht, um sich selbst viele Male zu opfern, (denn er ist nicht) wie der Hohepriester, der jedes Jahr mit fremdem Blut in das Heiligtum hineingeht;
26 or else he would have had to suffer over and over again since the world began. As it is, he has madehis appearance once and for al , at the end of the last age, to do away with sin by sacrificing himself.	26 sonst hätte er viele Male seit der Erschaffung der Welt leiden müssen. Jetzt aber ist er am Ende der Zeiten ein einziges Mal erschienen, um durch sein Opfer die Sünde zu tilgen.
27 Since human beings die only once, after which comes judgement,	27 Und wie es dem Menschen bestimmt ist, ein einziges Mal zu sterben, worauf dann das Gericht folgt,
28 so Christ too, having offered himself only once to bear the sin of many, will manifest himself a secondtime, sin being no more, to those who are waiting for him, to bring them salvation.	28 so wurde auch Christus ein einziges Mal geopfert, um die Sünden vieler hinwegzunehmen; beim zweiten Mal wird er nicht wegen der Sünde erscheinen, sondern um die zu retten, die ihn erwarten.
