1 The first covenant also had its laws governing worship and its sanctuary, a sanctuary on this earth.	1 IL primo patto adunque ebbe anche esso degli ordinamenti del servigio divino, e il santuario terreno.
2 There was a tent which comprised two compartments: the first, in which the lamp-stand, the table andthe loaves of permanent offering were kept, was cal ed the Holy Place;	2 Perciocchè il primo tabernacolo fu fabbricato, nel quale era il candelliere, e la tavola, e la presentazione de’ pani; il quale è detto: Il Luogo santo.
3 then beyond the second veil, a second compartment which was called the Holy of Holies	3 E dopo la seconda cortina, v’era il tabernacolo, detto: Il Luogo santissimo;
4 to which belonged the gold altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant, plated al over with gold. Inthis were kept the gold jar containing the manna, Aaron's branch that grew the buds, and the tables of thecovenant.	4 dov’era un turibolo d’oro, e l’arca del patto, coperta d’oro d’ogn’intorno; nel quale era ancora il vaso d’oro dove era la manna, e la verga d’Aaronne, ch’era germogliata, e le tavole del patto.
5 On top of it were the glorious winged creatures, overshadowing the throne of mercy. This is not the timeto go into detail about this.	5 E di sopra ad essa arca, i cherubini della gloria, che adombravano il propiziatorio; delle quali cose non è da parlare ora a parte a parte.
6 Under these provisions, priests go regularly into the outer tent to carry out their acts of worship,	6 Or essendo queste cose composte in questa maniera, i sacerdoti entrano bene in ogni tempo nel primo tabernacolo, facendo tutte le parti del servigio divino.
7 but the second tent is entered only once a year, and then only by the high priest who takes in the bloodto make an offering for his own and the people's faults of inadvertence.	7 Ma il solo sommo sacerdote entra nel secondo una volta l’anno, non senza sangue, il quale egli offerisce per sè stesso, e per gli errori del popolo
8 By this, the Holy Spirit means us to see that as long as the old tent stands, the way into the holy placeis not opened up;	8 Lo Spirito Santo dichiarava con questo: che la via del santuario non era ancora manifestata, mentre il primo tabernacolo ancora sussisteva.
9 it is a symbol for this present time. None of the gifts and sacrifices offered under these regulations canpossibly bring any worshipper to perfection in his conscience;	9 Il quale è una figura corrispondente al tempo presente, durante il quale si offeriscono doni e sacrificii, che non possono appieno purificare, quanto è alla coscienza, colui che fa il servigio divino;
10 they are rules about outward life, connected with food and drink and washing at various times, whichare in force only until the time comes to set things right.	10 essendo cose, che consistono solo in cibi, e bevande, e in varii lavamenti, ed ordinamenti per la carne; imposte fino al tempo della riforma.
11 But now Christ has come, as the high priest of al the blessings which were to come. He has passedthrough the greater, the more perfect tent, not made by human hands, that is, not of this created order;	11 Ma Cristo, sommo sacerdote de’ futuri beni, essendo venuto, per mezzo del tabernacolo che è maggiore e più perfetto, non fatto con mano, cioè non di questa creazione;
12 and he has entered the sanctuary once and for all, taking with him not the blood of goats and bulcalves, but his own blood, having won an eternal redemption.	12 e non per sangue di becchi e di vitelli; ma per lo suo proprio sangue, è entrato una volta nel santuario, avendo acquistata una redenzione eterna.
13 The blood of goats and bul s and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkled on those who have incurreddefilement, may restore their bodily purity.	13 Perciocchè, se il sangue de’ tori e de’ becchi, e la cenere della giovenca, sparsa sopra i contaminati, santifica alla purità della carne;
14 How much more wil the blood of Christ, who offered himself, blameless as he was, to God throughthe eternal Spirit, purify our conscience from dead actions so that we can worship the living God.	14 quanto più il sangue di Cristo, il quale per lo Spirito eterno ha offerto sè stesso puro d’ogni colpa a Dio, purificherà egli la vostra coscienza dalle opere morte, per servire all’Iddio vivente?
15 This makes him the mediator of a new covenant, so that, now that a death has occurred to redeem thesins committed under an earlier covenant, those who have been cal ed to an eternal inheritance may receive thepromise.	15 E perciò egli è mediatore del nuovo testamento; acciocchè, essendo intervenuta la morte per lo pagamento delle trasgressioni state sotto il primo testamento, i chiamati ricevano la promessa della eterna eredità.
16 Now wherever a wil is in question, the death of the testator must be established;	16 Poichè, dov’è testamento, è necessario che intervenga la morte del testatore.
17 a testament comes into effect only after a death, since it has no force while the testator is stil alive.	17 Perciocchè il testamento è fermo dopo la morte; poichè non vale ancora mentre vive il testatore.
18 That is why even the earlier covenant was inaugurated with blood,	18 Laonde la dedicazione del primo non fu fatta senza sangue.
19 and why, after Moses had promulgated al the commandments of the Law to the people, he took thecalves' blood, the goats' blood and some water, and with these he sprinkled the book itself and all the people,using scarlet wool and hyssop;	19 Perciocchè, dopo che tutti i comandamenti, secondo la legge, furono da Mosè stati pronunziati a tutto il popolo; egli, preso il sangue de’ vitelli e de’ becchi, con acqua, e lana tinta in iscarlatto, ed isopo, ne spruzzò il libro stesso, e tutto il popolo;
20 saying as he did so: This is the blood of the covenant that God has made with you.	20 dicendo: Questo è il sangue del patto, che Iddio ha ordinato esservi presentato.
21 And he sprinkled both the tent and all the liturgical vessels with blood in the same way.	21 Parimente ancora con quel sangue spruzzò il tabernacolo, e tutti gli arredi del servigio divino.
22 In fact, according to the Law, practical y every purification takes place by means of blood; and if thereis no shedding of blood, there is no remission.	22 E presso che ogni cosa si purifica con sangue, secondo la legge; e senza spargimento di sangue non si fa remissione
23 Only the copies of heavenly things are purified in this way; the heavenly things themselves have to bepurified by a higher sort of sacrifice than this.	23 Egli era adunque necessario, poichè le cose rappresentanti quelle che son ne’ cieli sono purificate con queste cose; che anche le celesti stesse lo fossero con sacrificii più eccellenti di quelli.
24 It is not as though Christ had entered a man-made sanctuary which was merely a model of the realone; he entered heaven itself, so that he now appears in the presence of God on our behalf.	24 Poichè Cristo non è entrato in un santuario fatto con mano, figura del vero; ma nel cielo stesso, per comparire ora davanti alla faccia di Dio per noi.
25 And he does not have to offer himself again and again, as the high priest goes into the sanctuary yearafter year with the blood that is not his own,	25 E non acciocchè offerisca più volte sè stesso, siccome il sommo sacerdote entra ogni anno una volta nel santuario con sangue che non è il suo.
26 or else he would have had to suffer over and over again since the world began. As it is, he has madehis appearance once and for al , at the end of the last age, to do away with sin by sacrificing himself.	26 Altrimenti gli sarebbe convenuto soffrir più volte dalla fondazione del mondo; ma ora, una volta, nel compimento de’ secoli, è apparito per annullare il peccato, per lo sacrificio di sè stesso.
27 Since human beings die only once, after which comes judgement,	27 E come agli uomini è imposto di morire una volta, e dopo ciò è il giudicio;
28 so Christ too, having offered himself only once to bear the sin of many, will manifest himself a secondtime, sin being no more, to those who are waiting for him, to bring them salvation.	28 così ancora Cristo, essendo stato offerto una volta, per levare i peccati di molti, la seconda volta apparirà non più per espiare il peccato, ma a salute a coloro che l’aspettano
