NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:	1 Kérve kérlek Isten színe előtt, és Krisztus Jézus előtt, aki ítélni fog élőket és holtakat, az ő eljövetele és uralma által:
2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.	2 hirdesd az igét, állj elő vele, akár alkalmas, akár alkalmatlan! Feddj, ints, buzdíts minden türelemmel és tudománnyal.
3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;	3 Lesz ugyanis idő, amikor az emberek nem viselik el az egészséges tanítást, hanem saját kívánságaik szerint seregszámra szereznek maguknak tanítókat, mert viszket a fülük;
4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.	4 elfordítják fülüket az igazságtól, és átadják magukat a meséknek.
5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.	5 Te vigyázz mindenre, viseld el a szenvedéseket, végezd az evangélista dolgát, töltsd be szolgálatodat.
6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.	6 Engem ugyanis már kiöntenek, mint italáldozatot, elköltözésem ideje közel van.
7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;	7 A jó harcot megharcoltam, a pályát végigfutottam, a hitet megtartottam.
8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.	8 Készen vár már rám az igazságosság koszorúja, amelyet azon a napon megad nekem az Úr, az igazságos bíró, sőt nemcsak nekem, hanem mindazoknak, akik sóvárogva várják az ő eljövetelét.
9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.	9 Siess, jöjj hozzám mielőbb!
10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;	10 Démász ugyanis elhagyott a világ szeretete miatt, és elment Tesszalonikibe, Kreszcensz Galáciába, Títusz pedig Dalmáciába.
11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.	11 Egyedül Lukács van velem. Márkot is vedd magad mellé, és hozd el: jó hasznát tudom venni a szolgálatban.
12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.	12 Tichikuszt elküldtem Efezusba.

16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.	16 Első védekezésem alkalmával senki sem volt mellettem, mindenki cserbenhagyott – ne tudassék be nekik!
17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.	17 De az Úr mellém állt, és erőt adott nekem, hogy az igehirdetés teljessé legyen általam, s tudomást szerezzen róla az összes nemzet. Így megszabadultam az oroszlán torkából .
18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	18 Az Úr megszabadít minden gonosz ármánytól, és meg fog menteni mennyei országa számára. Dicsőség neki mindörökkön örökké! Ámen!
19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.	19 Köszöntsd Priszkát és Akvilát, azonkívül Oneziforosz házát.
