Galatians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Brothers, even if one of you is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should setthat person right in a spirit of gentleness; and watch yourselves that you are not put to the test in the same way.	1 Frères, même dans le cas où quelqu'un serait pris en faute, vous les spirituels, rétablissez-le en espritde douceur, te surveillant toi-même, car tu pourrais bien toi aussi être tenté.
2 Carry each other's burdens; that is how to keep the law of Christ.	2 Portez les fardeaux les uns des autres et accomplissez ainsi la Loi du Christ.
3 Someone who thinks himself important, when he is not, only deceives himself;	3 Car si quelqu'un estime être quelque chose alors qu'il n'est rien, il se fait illusion.
4 but everyone is to examine his own achievements, and then he wil confine his boasting to his ownachievements, not comparing them with anybody else's.	4 Que chacun examine sa propre conduite et alors il trouvera en soi seul et non dans les autresl'occasion de se glorifier;
5 Each one has his own load to carry.	5 car tout homme devra porter sa charge personnelle.
6 When someone is under instruction in doctrine, he should give his teacher a share in al hispossessions.	6 Que le disciple fasse part de toute sorte de biens à celui qui lui enseigne la parole.
7 Don't delude yourself: God is not to be fooled; whatever someone sows, that is what he wil reap.	7 Ne vous y trompez pas; on ne se moque pas de Dieu. Car ce que l'on sème, on le récolte:
8 If his sowing is in the field of self-indulgence, then his harvest from it wil be corruption; if his sowing is inthe Spirit, then his harvest from the Spirit wil be eternal life.	8 qui sème dans sa chair, récoltera de la chair la corruption; qui sème dans l'esprit, récoltera de l'espritla vie éternelle.
9 And let us never slacken in doing good; for if we do not give up, we shal have our harvest in due time.	9 Ne nous lassons pas de faire le bien; en son temps viendra la récolte, si nous ne nous relâchons pas.
10 So then, as long as we have the opportunity let al our actions be for the good of everybody, andespecial y of those who belong to the household of the faith.	10 Ainsi donc, tant que nous en avons l'occasion, pratiquons le bien à l'égard de tous et surtout de nosfrères dans la foi.
11 Notice what large letters I have used in writing to you with my own hand.	11 Voyez quels gros caractères ma main trace à votre intention.
12 It is those who want to cut a figure by human standards who force circumcision on you, simply so thatthey will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.	12 Des gens désireux de faire bonne figure dans la chair, voilà ceux qui vous imposent la circoncision,à seule fin d'éviter la persécution pour la croix du Christ.
13 Even though they are circumcised they stil do not keep the Law themselves; they want you to becircumcised only so that they can boast of your outward appearance.	13 Car ceux qui se font circoncire n'observent pas eux-mêmes la loi; ils veulent seulement que voussoyez circoncis, pour se glorifier dans votre chair.
14 But as for me, it is out of the question that I should boast at al , except of the cross of our Lord JesusChrist, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.	14 Pour moi, que jamais je ne me glorifie sinon dans la croix de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, qui a faitdu monde un crucifié pour moi et de moi un crucifié pour le monde.
15 It is not being circumcised or uncircumcised that matters; but what matters is a new creation.	15 Car la circoncision n'est rien, ni l'incirconcision; il s'agit d'être une créature nouvelle.
16 Peace and mercy to al who fol ow this as their rule and to the Israel of God.	16 Et à tous ceux qui suivront cette règle, paix et miséricorde, ainsi qu'à l'Israël de Dieu.
17 After this, let no one trouble me; I carry branded on my body the marks of Jesus.	17 Dorénavant que personne ne me suscite d'ennuis: je porte dans mon corps les marques de Jésus.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, my brothers. Amen.	18 Frères, la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec votre esprit! Amen.
