Galatians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLES DES PEUPLES
1 Brothers, even if one of you is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should setthat person right in a spirit of gentleness; and watch yourselves that you are not put to the test in the same way.	1 Frères, si quelqu’un se trouve en faute, remettez-le sur la bonne voie, vous qui êtes spirituels, avec un esprit de douceur. Pense à toi-même: si toi aussi, tu étais tenté?
2 Carry each other's burdens; that is how to keep the law of Christ.	2 Portez les fardeaux les uns des autres, si vous voulez respecter la Loi du Christ.
3 Someone who thinks himself important, when he is not, only deceives himself;	3 D’ailleurs, si on se croit quelque chose alors qu’on n’est rien, on ne trompe que soi-même.
4 but everyone is to examine his own achievements, and then he wil confine his boasting to his ownachievements, not comparing them with anybody else's.	4 Que chacun examine ses propres œuvres et, s’il y trouve quelque fierté, qu’il la garde pour lui-même au lieu de la faire sentir aux autres.
5 Each one has his own load to carry.	5 Pour cela, oui, que chacun porte son propre fardeau.
6 When someone is under instruction in doctrine, he should give his teacher a share in al hispossessions.	6 Celui qui se fait instruire doit rétribuer celui qui lui donne la parole selon ce dont il dispose.
7 Don't delude yourself: God is not to be fooled; whatever someone sows, that is what he wil reap.	7 Ne vous y trompez pas, on ne se moque pas de Dieu et finalement chacun récoltera ce qu’il a semé.
8 If his sowing is in the field of self-indulgence, then his harvest from it wil be corruption; if his sowing is inthe Spirit, then his harvest from the Spirit wil be eternal life.	8 Celui qui, pour sa personne, sème du charnel, récoltera de la chair la corruption; celui qui sème du spirituel récoltera de l’Esprit la vie éternelle.
9 And let us never slacken in doing good; for if we do not give up, we shal have our harvest in due time.	9 Donc, faisons le bien sans faiblir; si nous ne nous décourageons pas, le moment venu nous récolterons.
10 So then, as long as we have the opportunity let al our actions be for the good of everybody, andespecial y of those who belong to the household of the faith.	10 Ne manquons pas les occasions, agissons bien envers tous et tout spécialement avec ceux de notre maison, je veux dire avec les croyants.
11 Notice what large letters I have used in writing to you with my own hand.	11 Avez-vous remarqué ces grandes lettres? C’est mon écriture.
12 It is those who want to cut a figure by human standards who force circumcision on you, simply so thatthey will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.	12 Ceux qui vous pressent de recevoir la circoncision veulent avant tout faire bonne figure dans le monde: ils ne veulent pas que la croix du Christ leur attire des ennuis.
13 Even though they are circumcised they stil do not keep the Law themselves; they want you to becircumcised only so that they can boast of your outward appearance.	13 Ce n’est pas parce qu’ils sont circoncis qu’ils observent la Loi, et si vous y passiez, ils en tireraient gloire.
14 But as for me, it is out of the question that I should boast at al , except of the cross of our Lord JesusChrist, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.	14 Pour moi, je ne veux être fier de rien d’autre que de la croix de Jésus Christ, notre Seigneur, car elle a crucifié le monde pour moi, et elle m’a crucifié pour le monde.
15 It is not being circumcised or uncircumcised that matters; but what matters is a new creation.	15 Être circoncis ou non n’a plus d’importance; seule compte la nouvelle créature.
16 Peace and mercy to al who fol ow this as their rule and to the Israel of God.	16 Que la paix et la miséricorde accompagnent ceux qui vivent suivant ce principe: ils sont l’Israël de Dieu.
17 After this, let no one trouble me; I carry branded on my body the marks of Jesus.	17 Et maintenant, que ces gens-là gardent pour eux leurs critiques: moi, je porte dans mon corps les cicatrices de Jésus.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, my brothers. Amen.	18 Frères, que la grâce de Jésus Christ, notre Seigneur, ne s’éloigne pas de votre esprit. Amen!
