¹ I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the church at Cenchreae;	¹ Recomendo-vos a nossa irmã Febe, que é diaconisa da igreja de Cêncris,
² give her, in the Lord, a welcome worthy of God's holy people, and help her with whatever she needs from you -- she herself has come to the help of many people, including myself.	² para que a recebais no Senhor, dum modo digno dos santos, e a ajudeis em qualquer coisa que de vós venha a precisar; porque ela tem ajudado a muitos e também a mim.

¹⁷ I urge you, brothers, be on your guard against the people who are out to stir up disagreements andbring up difficulties against the teaching which you learnt. ¹⁸ People of that sort are servants not of our Lord Christ, but of their own greed; and with talk thatsounds smooth and reasonable they deceive the minds of the unwary.	¹⁸ Esses tais não servem a Cristo nosso Senhor, mas ao próprio ventre. E com palavras adocicadas e linguagem lisonjeira enganam os corações simples.
¹⁹ Your obedience has become known to everyone, and I am very pleased with you for it; but I shouldwant you to be learned only in what is good, and unsophisticated about al that is evil.	¹⁹ A vossa obediência se tornou notória em toda parte, razão por que eu me alegro a vosso respeito. Mas quero que sejais prudentes no tocante ao bem, e simples no tocante ao mal.
²⁰ The God of peace wil soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be withyou.	²⁰ O Deus da paz em breve não tardará a esmagar Satanás debaixo dos vossos pés. A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo esteja convosco!

²⁵ And now to him who can make you strong in accordance with the gospel that I preach and theproclamation of Jesus Christ, in accordance with that mystery which for endless ages was kept secret	²⁵ Àquele que é poderoso para vos confirmar, segundo o meu Evangelho, na pregação de Jesus Cristo - conforme a revelação do mistério, guardado em segredo durante séculos,
²⁶ but now (as the prophets wrote) is revealed, as the eternal God commanded, to be made known toal the nations, so that they obey in faith:	²⁶ mas agora manifestado por ordem do eterno Deus e, por meio das Escrituras proféticas, dado a conhecer a todas as nações, a fim de levá-las à obediência da fé - ,
²⁷ to him, the only wise God, give glory through Jesus Christ for ever and ever. Amen.	²⁷ a Deus, único, sábio, por Jesus Cristo, glória por toda a eternidade! Amém.
