1 On the day Moses finished erecting the Dwel ing, he anointed and consecrated it and all its furniture,as well as the altar and al its equipment. When he had anointed and consecrated it al ,1 Now, when Moses had completed the erection of the Dwelling and had anointed and consecrated it with all its equipment (as well as the altar with all its equipment),
2 the leaders of Israel made an offering; they were the heads of their families, the tribal leaders who hadpresided over the census.2 an offering was made by the princes of Israel, who were heads of ancestral houses; the same princes of the tribes who supervised the census.
3 They brought their offering before Yahweh: six covered wagons and twelve oxen, one wagon for everytwo leaders and one ox each. They brought them in front of the Dwel ing.3 The offering they brought before the LORD consisted of six baggage wagons and twelve oxen, that is, a wagon for every two princes, and an ox for every prince. These they presented as their offering before the Dwelling.
4 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,4 The LORD then said to Moses,
5 'Accept these from them, and let them be set apart for the service of the Tent of Meeting. You wil givethem to the Levites, to each as his duties require.'5 "Accept their offering, that these things may be put to use in the service of the meeting tent. Assign them to the Levites, to each group in proportion to its duties."
6 Moses took the wagons and oxen, and gave them to the Levites.6 So Moses accepted the wagons and oxen, and assigned them to the Levites.
7 To the Gershonites he gave two wagons and four oxen for the duties they had to perform.7 He gave two wagons and four oxen to the Gershonites in proportion to their duties,
8 To the Merarites he gave four wagons and eight oxen for the duties they had to perform under thedirection of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.8 and four wagons and eight oxen to the Merarites in proportion to their duties, under the supervision of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
9 But to the Kohathites he gave none at all, because the sacred charge entrusted to them had to becarried on their shoulders.9 He gave none to the Kohathites, because they had to carry on their shoulders the sacred objects which were their charge.
10 The leaders then made an offering for the dedication of the altar, on the day it was anointed. Theybrought their offering before the altar,10 For the dedication of the altar also, the princes brought offerings before the altar on the day it was anointed.
11 and Yahweh said to Moses, 'Each day one of the leaders must bring his offering for the dedication ofthe altar.'11 But the LORD said to Moses, "Let one prince a day present his offering for the dedication of the altar."
12 On the first day an offering was brought by Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.12 The one who presented his offering on the first day was Nahshon, son of Amminadab, prince of the tribe of Judah.
13 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,13 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;
14 one golden bowl weighing ten shekels, ful of incense,14 one gold cup of ten shekels' weight filled with incense;
15 one young bul , one ram and one male yearling lamb as a burnt offering,15 one young bull, one ram, and one yearling lamb for a holocaust;
16 one he-goat as a sacrifice for sin,16 one goat for a sin offering;
17 and two bul s, five rams, five he-goats and five male yearling lambs as a communion sacrifice. Suchwas the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.17 and two oxen, five rams, five goats, and five yearling lambs for a peace offering. This was the offering of Nahshon, son of Amminadab.
18 On the second day an offering was brought by Nethanel son of Zuar, leader of Issachar.18 On the second day Nethanel, son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, made his offering.
19 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,19 He presented as his offering one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;
20 one golden bowl weighing ten shekels, ful of incense,20 one gold cup of ten shekels' weight filled with incense;
21 one young bul , one ram and one male yearling lamb as a burnt offering,21 one young bull, one ram, and one yearling lamb for a holocaust;

24 On the third day an offering was brought by Eliab son of Helon, leader of the Zebulunites.24 On the third day it was the turn of Eliab, son of Helon, prince of the Zebulunites.
25 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,25 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;

84 Such were the offerings made by the leaders of Israel for the dedication of the altar on the day it wasanointed: twelve silver bowls, twelve silver sprinkling bowls, and twelve golden bowls.84 These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar, given by the princes of Israel on the occasion of its anointing: twelve silver plates, twelve silver basins, and twelve gold cups.
85 Each silver bowl weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each sprinkling bowl seventy, the silver ofthese objects weighing in al two thousand four hundred sanctuary shekels.85 Each silver plate weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each silver basin seventy, so that all the silver of these vessels amounted to two thousand four hundred shekels, according to the sanctuary standard.
86 The twelve golden bowls ful of incense each weighed ten shekels (sanctuary shekels), the gold ofthese bowls weighing in al a hundred and twenty shekels.86 The twelve gold cups that were filled with incense weighed ten shekels apiece, according to the sanctuary standard, so that all the gold of the cups amounted to one hundred and twenty shekels.
87 The sum total of animals for the burnt offering: twelve bul s, twelve rams, twelve male yearling lambs,with their cereal offerings. For the sacrifice for sin, twelve he-goats.87 The animals for the holocausts were, in all, twelve young bulls, twelve rams, and twelve yearling lambs, with their cereal offerings; those for the sin offerings were twelve goats.
88 The sum total of animals for the communion sacrifice: twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty he-goats andsixty male yearling lambs. Such were the offerings for the dedication of the altar, after it had been anointed.88 The animals for the peace offerings were, in all, twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty goats, and sixty yearling lambs. These, then, were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.
89 When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with him, he heard the voice speaking to himfrom above the mercy-seat on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two great winged creatures. He thenspoke to him.89 When Moses entered the meeting tent to speak with him, he heard the voice addressing him from above the propitiatory on the ark of the commandments, from between the two cherubim; and it spoke to him. . . .
