1 Then the heads of families of the clan descended from Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, oneof the clans descended from Joseph, came forward and, addressing Moses and the leaders, the Israelite headsof families,	1 Si avvicinarono i capi delle case paterne, delle famiglie dei figli di Galaad, figlio di Machir, figlio di Manasse, delle famiglie dei figli di Giuseppe, e parlarono davanti a Mosè e davanti ai prìncipi, capi delle case dei figli d'Israele.
2 they said: 'Yahweh has ordered my lord to apportion the Israelites' heritages in the country by lot andmy lord has been ordered by Yahweh to give the heritage of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.	2 Dissero: "Il Signore ha ordinato al mio signore di dare la terra in eredità per sorte ai figli d'Israele, e il mio signore ha ricevuto ordine dal Signore di dare l'eredità di Zelofcad, nostro fratello, alle sue figlie.
3 Now, if they marry someone from another Israelite tribe, their heritage wil be alienated from ourancestral heritage. The heritage of the tribe to which they wil then belong wil be increased, and the heritage al otted to us will be diminished.	3 Se andranno spose a uno dei figli delle altre tribù dei figli d'Israele, la loro eredità sarà sottratta dall'eredità dei nostri padri e sarà aggiunta all'eredità della tribù nella quale saranno entrate, e quello che abbiamo ereditato per sorte ci sarà sottratto.

7 But the heritages of Israelites are not to be transferred from tribe to tribe; each Israelite wil stick tothe heritage of his own tribe.	7 L'eredità dei figli d'Israele non girerà da tribù a tribù, perché tra i figli d'Israele ognuno sarà attaccato all'eredità della tribù dei suoi padri.
8 Any daughter who owns a heritage in an Israelite tribe will marry into a clan of her own paternal tribe,so that the Israelites may each preserve the heritage of his father.	8 Ogni figlia che erediterà dalla tribù dei figli d'Israele sarà moglie in una delle famiglie della tribù di suo padre, in modo che ognuno dei figli d'Israele entri in possesso dell'eredità dei propri padri,
