1 Then the heads of families of the clan descended from Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, oneof the clans descended from Joseph, came forward and, addressing Moses and the leaders, the Israelite headsof families,	1 - Ora, i capi delle famiglie di Galaad figlio di Machir figlio di Manasse, della stirpe de' figliuoli di Giuseppe, si fecero avanti, e dissero a Mosè, in presenza de' capi d'Israele:
2 they said: 'Yahweh has ordered my lord to apportion the Israelites' heritages in the country by lot andmy lord has been ordered by Yahweh to give the heritage of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.	2 «Il Signore comandò a te, signor nostro, di dividere a sorte la terra tra i figli d'Israele, e di dare alle figlie di Salfaad nostro fratello la parte dovuta al padre loro.
3 Now, if they marry someone from another Israelite tribe, their heritage wil be alienated from ourancestral heritage. The heritage of the tribe to which they wil then belong wil be increased, and the heritage al otted to us will be diminished.	3 Ora, se uomini d'altra tribù le pigliano in mogli, esse porteran seco i loro beni, e questi, passando in altra tribù, diminuiranno l'eredità della nostra.
4 And when the jubilee for the Israelites comes round, these women's heritage will become part of theheritage of the tribe to which they then belong, and be alienated from the heritage of our ancestral tribe.'	4 Così accadrà che al venire del giubileo, cioè dell'anno cinquantesimo e della remissione, rimarrà alterata la distribuzione delle sorti, ed il possesso degli uni passerà agli altri».
5 At Yahweh's bidding, Moses gave the Israelites this order. He said: 'What the Josephite tribe says istrue.	5 Mosè rispose a' figli d'Israele, e per comando del Signore disse: «La tribù de' figli di Giuseppe ha parlato saviamente
6 This is Yahweh's ruling for Zelophehad's daughters: "They may marry whom they please, providingthey marry into a clan of their father's tribe.	6 ed ecco la legge data dal Signore riguardo alle figlie di Salfaad: "Si maritino a chi vogliono: soltanto però ad uomini della loro tribù,
7 But the heritages of Israelites are not to be transferred from tribe to tribe; each Israelite wil stick tothe heritage of his own tribe.	7 affinchè i possedimenti de' figli di Israele non si mescolino da una tribù ad un'altra". Tutti gli uomini dunque prenderanno una moglie della loro tribù e casata;
8 Any daughter who owns a heritage in an Israelite tribe will marry into a clan of her own paternal tribe,so that the Israelites may each preserve the heritage of his father.	8 e tutte le donne prenderanno mariti della loro stessa tribù, acciò l'eredità rimanga nelle famiglie,
9 No heritage may be transferred from one tribe to another; each Israelite tribe wil stick to its ownheritage." '	9 e le tribù non si mescolino fra di loro, ma così restino
10 Zelophehad's daughters did as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	10 come son state divise dal Signore». Fecero dunque le figlie di Salfaad come era stato loro comandato.
11 Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah and Noah, daughters of Zelophehad, married the sons of theirfather's brothers.	11 Maala, Tersa, Hegla, Melca e Noa si sposarono a de' figli del loro zio,
12 Since they married into clans descended from Manasseh son of Joseph, their heritage reverted tothe tribe of their father's clan.	12 della stirpe di Manasse figlio di Giuseppe; e così, la parte ch'era stata loro assegnata rimase nella tribù e casata del padre loro.
13 Such were the commandments and laws that Yahweh prescribed for the Israelites through Moseson the Plains of Moab near the Jordan by Jericho.n	13 Questi sono i comandamenti e le leggi che il Signore dette per mezzo di Mosè a' figli d'Israele, nelle pianure di Moab, lungo il Giordano, di contro a Gerico.
