1 Words of Amos one of the shepherds of Tekoa. The visions he had about Israel, in the time of Uzziahking of Judah and Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.	1 Palabras de Amós, uno de los pastores de Técoa. Visiones que tuvo acerca de Israel, en tiempo de Ozías, rey de Judá, y en tiempo de Jeroboam, hijo de Joás, rey de Israel, dos años antes del terremoto.
2 He said: Yahweh roars from Zion, and makes himself heard from Jerusalem; the shepherds' pasturesmourn, and the crown of Carmel dries up.	2 Dijo: Ruge Yahveh desde Sión, desde Jerusalén da su voz; los pastizales de los pastores están en duelo, y la cumbre del Carmelo se seca.
3 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Damascus, I have made my decree and wilnot relent: because they have threshed Gilead with iron threshing-sledges,	3 Así dice Yahveh: ¡Por tres crímenes de Damasco y por cuatro, seré inflexible! Por haber triturado con trillos de hierro a Galaad,
4 I shal send fire down on the House of Hazael to devour the palaces of Ben-Hadad;	4 yo enviaré fuego a la casa de Jazael, que devorará los palacios de Ben Hadad;
5 I shal break the gate-bar of Damascus, I shal destroy the inhabitant of Bikath-Aven, the holder of thesceptre in Beth-Eden, and the people of Aram wil be deported to Kir, Yahweh says.	5 romperé el cerrojo de Damasco, extirparé al habitante de Bicat Aven y de Bet Eden al que empuña el cetro; y el pueblo de Aram irá cautivo a Quir, dice Yahveh.
6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Gaza, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have deported entire nations as slaves to Edom,	6 Así dice Yahveh: ¡Por tres crímenes de Gaza y por cuatro, seré inflexible! Por haber deportado poblaciones enteras, para entregarlas a Edom,
7 I shal send fire down on the walls of Gaza to devour its palaces;	7 yo enviaré fuego a la muralla de Gaza, que devorará sus palacios;
8 I shal destroy the inhabitant of Ashdod, the holder of the sceptre in Ashkelon; I shal turn my handagainst Ekron and the remnant of the Philistines wil perish, says the Lord Yahweh.	8 extirparé al habitante de Asdod y de Ascalón al que empuña el cetro; volveré mi mano contra Ecrón, y perecerá lo que queda de los filisteos, dice el Señor Yahveh.
9 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Tyre, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have handed hosts of captives over to Edom, heedless of a covenant of brotherhood,	9 Así dice Yahveh: ¡Por tres crímenes de Tiro y por cuatro, seré inflexible! Por haber entregado poblaciones enteras de cautivos a Edom, sin acordarse de la alianza entre hermanos,
10 I shall send fire down on the wal s of Tyre to devour its palaces.	10 yo enviaré fuego a la muralla de Tiro, que devorará sus palacios.
11 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Edom, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because he has pursued his brother with the sword, because he has stifled any sense of pity, andperpetual y nursed his anger and constantly cherished his rage,	11 Así dice Yahveh: ¡Por tres crímenes de Edom y por cuatro, seré inflexible! Por haber perseguido con espada a su hermano, ahogando toda piedad, por mantener para siempre su cólera, y guardar incesante su rencor,
12 I shall send fire down on Teman to devour the palaces of Bozrah.	12 yo enviaré fuego a Temán, que devorará los palacios de Bosrá.
13 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of the Ammonites, I have made my decreeand will not relent: because they have disembowelled the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend their ownfrontiers,	13 Así dice Yahveh: ¡Por tres crímenes de los hijos de Ammón y por cuatro, seré inflexible! Por haber reventado a las mujeres encintas de Galaad, para ensanchar su territorio,
14 I shall light a fire against the walls of Rabbah to devour its palaces amid war cries on the day of battle,in a whirlwind on the day of storm,	14 yo prenderé fuego a la muralla de Rabbá, que devorará sus palacios, en el clamor en día de combate, en la tormenta en día de huracán;
15 and their king shal go into captivity, he and his chief men with him, says Yahweh.	15 y su rey irá al cautiverio, juntamente con sus príncipes, dice Yahveh.
