Joel 4

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Maria
1 'For in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,	1 Porquanto eis que, naqueles dias, no tempo em que eu realizar a restauração de Judá e de Jerusalém,
2 I shall gather all the nations together and take them down to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat; there I shal putthem on trial because of Israel, my people and my heritage, for having scattered them among the nations andhaving divided my land among themselves.	2 reunirei todas as nações e as farei descer ao vale de Josafá. Ali entrarei com elas em juízo acerca de Israel, meu povo e minha herança, o qual dispersaram pelas nações pagãs, depois de dividir minha terra.
3 They drew lots for my people, bartering a boy for a whore and sel ing a girl for wine to drink.	3 Rifaram o meu povo; davam um menino para pagar uma cortesã, e vendiam uma jovem em troca de vinho para beberem!
4 'And what are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and al you regions of Philistia? Can you take revenge on me?If you take revenge on me, I shal quickly, instantly, make your revenge recoil on your own heads	4 E vós, que quereis de mim, Tiro e Sidônia? E vós, distritos da Filisteia? Quereis, por acaso, tirar vingança de mim? Mas se é uma provocação, farei cair imediatamente sobre vossa cabeça a vossa provocação,
5 for having taken my silver and gold away and carried off my valuable treasures to your temples,	5 porque roubastes minha prata e meu ouro, levastes para os vossos templos minhas joias mais preciosas;
6 and for having sold the children of Judah and Jerusalem to the Ionians, to be taken far away from theirown frontiers.	6 vendestes aos gregos os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Jerusalém, que foram assim deportados para longe de sua pátria.
7 Look, I shal rouse them from the places to which you have sold them; I shall make your actions recoilon your own heads	7 Eis que vou reconduzi-los do lugar em que vós os vendestes, e farei recair sobre vossas cabeças vossos próprios atos.
8 by sel ing your sons and daughters to the sons of Judah, who in turn wil sel them to the Sabaeans, to anation far away- Yahweh has spoken!'	8 Venderei vossos filhos e vossas filhas aos judeus, e estes os venderão aos sabeus, povo longínquo; é o Senhor quem o declara.
9 Proclaim this among the nations. Prepare for war! Rouse the champions! Al you troops, advance,march!	9 Proclamai isto entre as nações: Declarai a guerra! Chamai os valentes! Aproximem-se, subam todos os guerreiros!
10 Hammer your ploughshares into swords, your bil -hooks into spears; let the weakling say, 'I am tough!'	10 Os vossos arados, transformai-os em espadas, e as vossas foices, em lanças! Mesmo o enfermo diga: “Eu sou guerreiro!”.
11 Hurry and come, al the nations around, and assemble there! (Yahweh, send down your champions!)	11 Depressa, nações! Vinde todas: reuni-vos de toda parte! Ó Senhor, fazei descer ali os vossos valentes!
12 'Let the nations rouse themselves and march to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat, for there I shal sit injudgement on all the nations around.	12 De pé, nações! Subi ao vale de Josafá, porque é ali que vou sentar-me para julgar todos os povos ao redor!
13 Ply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come and tread, for the winepress is full; the vats are overflowing,so great is their wickedness!'	13 Metei a foice, a messe está madura; vinde pisar, o lagar está cheio; as cubas transbordam – porque é imensa a maldade dos povos!
14 Multitude on multitude in the Valley of Decision! For the Day of Yahweh is near in the Val ey of theVerdict!	14 Que multidão, que multidão no vale do Julgamento, porque chegou o dia do Senhor (no vale do Julgamento)!
15 Sun and moon grow dark, the stars lose their brilliance.	15 O sol e a lua se obscurecem, as estrelas empalidecem.
16 Yahweh roars from Zion, he thunders from Jerusalem; heaven and earth tremble. But Yahweh wil be ashelter for his people, a stronghold for the Israelites.	16 O Senhor rugirá de Sião, trovejará de Jerusalém; os céus e a terra serão abalados. Mas o Senhor será um refúgio para o seu povo, uma fortaleza para os israelitas.
17 'Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God residing on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem wilthen be a sanctuary, no foreigners will overrun it ever again.'	17 Sabereis então que eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus, que habita em Sião, minha montanha santa. Jerusalém será um lugar sagrado onde os estrangeiros não tornarão a passar.
18 When that Day comes, the mountains will run with new wine and the hil s wil flow with milk, and al thestream-beds of Judah will run with water. A fountain wil spring from Yahweh's Temple and water the Gorge ofthe Acacias.	18 Naquele dia, as montanhas destilarão vinho, o leite manará das colinas; todas as torrentes de Judá jorrarão; uma fonte sairá do Templo do Senhor para irrigar o vale das Acácias.
19 Egypt wil become a desolation, and Edom a desert waste on account of the violence done to thechildren of Judah whose innocent blood they shed in their country.	19 O Egito será todo assolado, Edom será um deserto devastado, por causa das violências cometidas contra os judeus, e por causa do sangue inocente derramado em seu solo;
20 But Judah wil be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation!	20 mas Judá será habitado perpetuamente, e Jerusalém, de idade em idade.
21 'I shal avenge their blood and let none go unpunished,' and Yahweh wil dwell in Zion.	21 Vingarei o seu sangue, que eu não tinha ainda vingado, e o Senhor habitará em Sião.
