NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLES DES PEUPLES
1 'For in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,	1 En ces jours-là, en ce temps-là, je ramènerai les captifs de Juda et de Jérusalem.
2 I shall gather all the nations together and take them down to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat; there I shal putthem on trial because of Israel, my people and my heritage, for having scattered them among the nations andhaving divided my land among themselves.	2 Je rassemblerai toutes les nations et les ferai descendre dans la vallée de Josaphat. Là je ferai leur procès, car elles ont dispersé mon peuple parmi les nations, cet Israël qui est mon héritage, et elles se sont partagé mon pays.
3 They drew lots for my people, bartering a boy for a whore and sel ing a girl for wine to drink.	3 On a tiré au sort les miens; ils ont donné le jeune garçon pour une prostituée, ils ont vendu la jeune fille pour du vin qu’ils ont bu.
4 'And what are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and al you regions of Philistia? Can you take revenge on me?If you take revenge on me, I shal quickly, instantly, make your revenge recoil on your own heads	4 Qu’êtes-vous donc pour moi, Tyr et Sidon, et vous tous, royaumes de Philistie? Voulez-vous prendre votre revanche sur moi? Si jamais vous me provoquez, je ferai rapidement retomber vos menaces sur votre tête.
5 for having taken my silver and gold away and carried off my valuable treasures to your temples,	5 Vous avez pris mon argent et mon or, vous avez emporté mes bijoux de valeur pour vos temples.
6 and for having sold the children of Judah and Jerusalem to the Ionians, to be taken far away from theirown frontiers.	6 Vous avez vendu aux Grecs les gens de Juda et de Jérusalem pour les éloigner de leur pays.
7 Look, I shal rouse them from the places to which you have sold them; I shall make your actions recoilon your own heads	7 Mais je vais les rappeler du lieu où vous les avez vendus, et je ferai retomber sur votre tête le mal que vous avez fait.
8 by sel ing your sons and daughters to the sons of Judah, who in turn wil sel them to the Sabaeans, to anation far away- Yahweh has spoken!'	8 Je ferai vendre vos fils et vos filles par les gens de Juda; ils les vendront aux Sabéens, cette nation lointaine: Yahvé a parlé.
9 Proclaim this among the nations. Prepare for war! Rouse the champions! Al you troops, advance,march!	9 Annoncez ceci parmi les nations: Proclamez la guerre sainte, entraînez les soldats! Venez, guerriers, et marchez au combat!
10 Hammer your ploughshares into swords, your bil -hooks into spears; let the weakling say, 'I am tough!'	10 De vos socs de charrues faites des épées, de vos haches faites des lances. Que le faible dise: Je suis un brave!
11 Hurry and come, al the nations around, and assemble there! (Yahweh, send down your champions!)	11 Dépêchez-vous, nations d’alentour, venez toutes, rassemblez-vous là, et toi, Yahvé, fais descendre tes Vaillants!
12 'Let the nations rouse themselves and march to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat, for there I shal sit injudgement on all the nations around.	12 Voici venir les nations, elles montent à la vallée de Josaphat: là même je me tiens en juge pour toutes les nations d’alentour.
13 Ply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come and tread, for the winepress is full; the vats are overflowing,so great is their wickedness!'	13 Jetez votre faucille car la moisson est mûre, venez, foulez, car le pressoir est plein. Les cuves débordent, car leur péché est énorme.
14 Multitude on multitude in the Valley of Decision! For the Day of Yahweh is near in the Val ey of theVerdict!	14 Des foules et des foules sont là, dans la Vallée-du-Jugement: sachez que le jour de Yahvé est proche dans la Vallée-du-Jugement.
15 Sun and moon grow dark, the stars lose their brilliance.	15 Le soleil et la lune s’assombrissent, les étoiles ont perdu leur clarté.
16 Yahweh roars from Zion, he thunders from Jerusalem; heaven and earth tremble. But Yahweh wil be ashelter for his people, a stronghold for the Israelites.	16 De Sion Yahvé pousse un cri, de Jérusalem il fait entendre sa voix. Le ciel et la terre sont ébranlés, mais pour son peuple Yahvé est un abri, il est le refuge des fils d’Israël.
17 'Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God residing on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem wilthen be a sanctuary, no foreigners will overrun it ever again.'	17 Vous saurez que je suis Yahvé votre Dieu: c’est moi qui habite à Sion, sur ma sainte montagne. Jérusalem est un lieu saint et les étrangers n’y passeront plus.
18 When that Day comes, the mountains will run with new wine and the hil s wil flow with milk, and al thestream-beds of Judah will run with water. A fountain wil spring from Yahweh's Temple and water the Gorge ofthe Acacias.	18 En ce jour-là le jus des raisins ruissellera sur les montagnes, et le lait sur les collines; tous les torrents de Juda déborderont d’eau; une source sortira du Temple de Yahvé pour irriguer le ravin des acacias.
19 Egypt wil become a desolation, and Edom a desert waste on account of the violence done to thechildren of Judah whose innocent blood they shed in their country.	19 Mais l’Égypte deviendra une solitude, Édom, un désert abandonné, pour toutes les violences qu’ils ont faites aux fils de Juda: car ils ont répandu dans ce pays le sang innocent.
20 But Judah wil be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation!	20 Juda sera habité pour toujours, et Jérusalem, de génération en génération. Je vengerai leur sang - ce que je n’ai pas encore fait - et Yahvé habitera en Sion.
21 'I shal avenge their blood and let none go unpunished,' and Yahweh wil dwell in Zion.
