Joel 4

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 'For in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,	1 Porque en aquellos días, en aquel tiempo, cuando yo cambie la suerte de Judá y de Jerusalén,
2 I shall gather all the nations together and take them down to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat; there I shal putthem on trial because of Israel, my people and my heritage, for having scattered them among the nations andhaving divided my land among themselves.	2 congregaré a todas las naciones y las haré bajar al valle de Josafat. Allí entraré en juicio con ellas a favor de Israel, mi pueblo y mi herencia, porque lo han dispersado entre las naciones y se han repartido mi tierra.
3 They drew lots for my people, bartering a boy for a whore and sel ing a girl for wine to drink.	3 Echaban suertes sobre mi pueblo, cambiaban a un muchacho por una prostituta, vendían a una muchacha por vino y se lo bebían.
4 'And what are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and al you regions of Philistia? Can you take revenge on me?If you take revenge on me, I shal quickly, instantly, make your revenge recoil on your own heads	4 Y ustedes también, Tiro y Sidón y todos los distritos de Filistea, ¿qué quieren de mí? ¿Van a tomar represalias contra mí? Si las toman, yo las haré caer muy pronto sobre sus cabezas.
5 for having taken my silver and gold away and carried off my valuable treasures to your temples,	5 ¡Ustedes, que sacaron mi plata y mi oro y se llevaron a sus templos mis tesoros preciosos;
6 and for having sold the children of Judah and Jerusalem to the Ionians, to be taken far away from theirown frontiers.	6 ¡Ustedes, que vendieron los hijos de Judá y de Jerusalén a los habitantes de Javán, para alejarlos de su territorio!
7 Look, I shal rouse them from the places to which you have sold them; I shall make your actions recoilon your own heads	7 Yo los haré resurgir del lugar donde ustedes los vendieron y haré recaer esas represalias sobre sus cabezas.
8 by sel ing your sons and daughters to the sons of Judah, who in turn wil sel them to the Sabaeans, to anation far away- Yahweh has spoken!'	8 Venderé a los hijos y a las hijas de ustedes, los entregaré a los hijos de Judá, y ellos los venderán a los sabeos, a una nación lejana, porque ha hablado el Señor.
9 Proclaim this among the nations. Prepare for war! Rouse the champions! Al you troops, advance,march!	9 Publiquen esto entre las naciones: ¡Santifíquense para el combate! ¡Animen a los valientes! ¡Que se presenten y suban todos los hombres de guerra!
10 Hammer your ploughshares into swords, your bil -hooks into spears; let the weakling say, 'I am tough!'	10 Forjen espadas con sus azadones y lanzas con sus hoces; que el débil diga: «¡Soy un valiente!».
11 Hurry and come, al the nations around, and assemble there! (Yahweh, send down your champions!)	11 Apúrense a venir todas las naciones de alrededor, y congréguense allí. ¡Que desciendan tus valientes, Señor!
12 'Let the nations rouse themselves and march to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat, for there I shal sit injudgement on all the nations around.	12 ¡Que despierten y suban las naciones al valle de Josafat! Porque allí me sentaré para juzgar a todas las naciones de alrededor.
13 Ply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come and tread, for the winepress is full; the vats are overflowing,so great is their wickedness!'	13 Pongan mano a la hoz: la mies está madura; vengan a pisar: el lagar está lleno; las cubas desbordan: ¡tan grande es su maldad!
14 Multitude on multitude in the Valley of Decision! For the Day of Yahweh is near in the Val ey of theVerdict!	14 ¡Multitudes innumerables en el valle de la Decisión! Porque se acerca el Día del Señor en el valle de la Decisión.
15 Sun and moon grow dark, the stars lose their brilliance.	15 El sol y la luna se oscurecen, las estrellas pierden su brillo.
16 Yahweh roars from Zion, he thunders from Jerusalem; heaven and earth tremble. But Yahweh wil be ashelter for his people, a stronghold for the Israelites.	16 El Señor ruge desde Sión y desde Jerusalén hace oír su voz: ¡tiemblan el cielo y la tierra! ¡Pero el Señor será un refugio para su pueblo, un resguardo para los israelitas!
17 'Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God residing on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem wilthen be a sanctuary, no foreigners will overrun it ever again.'	17 Así ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor, su Dios, que habito en Sión, mi santa Montaña. Jerusalén será un lugar santo, y los extranjeros no pasarán más por ella.
18 When that Day comes, the mountains will run with new wine and the hil s wil flow with milk, and al thestream-beds of Judah will run with water. A fountain wil spring from Yahweh's Temple and water the Gorge ofthe Acacias.	18 Aquel día, las montañas destilarán vino nuevo y manará leche de las colinas; por todos los torrentes de Judá correrán las aguas, y brotará un manantial de la Casa del Señor, que regará el valle de las Acacias.
19 Egypt wil become a desolation, and Edom a desert waste on account of the violence done to thechildren of Judah whose innocent blood they shed in their country.	19 Egipto se convertirá en una desolación y Edom en un desierto desolado, a causa de la violencia cometida contra los hijos de Judá, cuya sangre inocente derramaron en su país.
20 But Judah wil be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation!	20 Pero Judá será habitada para siempre y Jerusalén por todas las generaciones.
21 'I shal avenge their blood and let none go unpunished,' and Yahweh wil dwell in Zion.	21 Yo vengaré su sangre, no la dejaré impune, y el Señor tendrá su morada en Sión.
