Hosea 9

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 No merrymaking, Israel, for you, no rejoicing like other peoples, for you have deserted your God to playthe whore, you have loved the fee of prostitution on every threshing-floor.	1 Não te alegres, Israel, não exultes como os povos (pagãos), porque te prostituiste, sendo infiel ao teu Deus, amaste a recompensa impura, por sobre todas as eiras de trigo.
2 The threshing-floor and wine-press will not feed them; they will be disappointed of new wine.	2 A eira e o lagar não os sustentarão, e o vinho iludirá a sua espectativa.
3 No more wil they live in Yahweh's country; Ephraim will have to go back to Egypt, and eat polluted foodin Assyria.	3 Não habitarão na terra do Senhor. Os de Efraim voltarão para o Egipto, e comerão alimentos impuros entre os Assírios.
4 No more wil they pour libations of wine to Yahweh, and their sacrifices will not win his favour but will belike funeral fare for them: whoever eats them wil be pol uted; for their food wil be for themselves alone, notbeing offered in Yahweh's home.	4 Não farão libações de vinho ao Senhor, nem lhe oferecerão agradáveis sacrifícios; o seu pão será como o pão que se come no luto: todos os que comerem dele; ficarão impuros; o seu pão será só para eles, não entrará na casa do Senhor.
5 What wil you do on the solemn feast-day, on the day of Yahweh's festival?	5 Que fareis vós no dia solene, no dia da festa do Senhor?
6 What a scene of devastastion they have left! Egypt wil round them up, Memphis will bury them, nettleswil inherit their fields and thorn-bushes invade their homesteads.	6 Eles partem por causa da devastação (da sua terra). O Egipto os recolherá, Menfis os sepultará; as suas preciosidades de prata serão das urtigas e, crescerão os abrolhos nas suas casas.
7 The days of punishment have come, the days of retribution are here; Israel knows it! 'The prophet ismad and the inspired man a fool!' Great has been your guilt- al the greater then the hostility!	7 Chegaram os dias do castigo, chegaram os dias da retribuição. Clama Israel: O profeta é louco, o varão espiritual é insensato! À enormidade da tua iniquidade junta-se a da tua perseguição.
8 The watchman of Ephraim is with my God: it is the prophet- and a fowler's trap is placed on al hispaths; and in the shrine of his God there is enmity towards him.	8 A sentinela de Efraim — com o meu Deus — o profeta, encontra um laço de caçador sobre todos os seus caminhos, a perseguição (mesmo) na casa do seu Deus.
9 They have become deeply corrupt as in the days of Gibeah; he will remember their guilt, he wil punishtheir sins.	9 Estão profundamente corrompidos, como nos dias de Gabaa. O Senhor se lembrará da sua iniquidade e castigará os seus pecados.
10 It was like finding grapes in the desert when I found Israel, like seeing early fruit on a fig tree when Isaw your ancestors; but when they reached Baal-Peor they devoted themselves to Shame and became asloathsome as the thing they loved.	10 Encontrei Israel como cachos de uvas no deserto; vi os vossos pais como os primeiros frutos da figueira. Porém, chegados a Beelfegor, consagraram-se à infâmia e tornaram-se abomináveis como as coisas que amaram.
11 The glory of Ephraim wil fly away like a bird: no giving birth, no pregnancy, no conceiving.	11 A glória de Efraim voará como uma ave; não haverá nascimento, nem gravidez nem concepção.
12 If they rear their children, I shal take them away before they grow up! Woe to them indeed when Ileave them!	12 Mas, ainda mesmo que criassem alguns filhos, eu faria com que ficassem sem eles, para não restar ninguém. E ai deles quando eu os abandonar!
13 Ephraim looked to me like Tyre, planted in a meadow, so Ephraim will present his children to theslaughterer.	13 Efraim, pelo que vi, era como Tiro, apoiada na sua beleza; mas Efraim levará seus filhos ao que lhes há-de tirar a vida.
14 Give them, Yahweh- what are you to give? - give them wombs that miscarry and dried-up breasts.	14 Dá-lhes, Senhor... Porém, que lhes darás? Dá-lhes um ventre estéril e peitos secos.
15 Their wickedness appeared in ful at Gilgal, there I came to hate them. Because of the wickedness oftheir deeds I shall drive them from my home, I shal love them no longer; all their princes are rebels.	15 Toda a sua malícia (apareceu) em Gálgala; foi lá que lhes concebi aversão; lançá-los-ei fora da minha casa, por causa da malícia das suas obras; não tornarei mais a ter-lhes amor; todos os seus príncipes são uns rebeldes.
16 Ephraim is blasted, their root has dried out, they wil bear no more fruit. And even if they do bearchildren I shal slaughter the darlings of their womb.	16 Efraim está ferido (de morte), a sua raiz seca: (os de Efraim) não darão mais fruto. Se, porém, tiverem filhos, matarei os queridos de suas entranhas.
17 Because they have not listened to him, my God wil cast them off and they wil become wanderersamong the nations.	17 O meu Deus os rejeitará, porque não o ouviram; andarão errantes entre as nações.
