Hosea 9

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 No merrymaking, Israel, for you, no rejoicing like other peoples, for you have deserted your God to playthe whore, you have loved the fee of prostitution on every threshing-floor.	1 - Non festeggiare, Israele, non tripudiare, come le nazioni: perchè ti sei prostituito, apostatando dal tuo Dio! Su tutte le aie da grano hai amato la mercede.
2 The threshing-floor and wine-press will not feed them; they will be disappointed of new wine.	2 L'aia e il pressoio non li pasceranno più, e il vino andrà fallito.
3 No more wil they live in Yahweh's country; Ephraim will have to go back to Egypt, and eat polluted foodin Assyria.	3 Non abiteranno più nella terra del Signore. Ed Efraim è tornato in Egitto; in Assiria mangiò cose contaminate.
4 No more wil they pour libations of wine to Yahweh, and their sacrifices will not win his favour but will belike funeral fare for them: whoever eats them wil be pol uted; for their food wil be for themselves alone, notbeing offered in Yahweh's home.	4 Non faranno a Dio libazioni di vino e non gli piaceranno i loro sacrifici; saranno come pane di lutto; tutti quelli che ne mangeranno resteranno contaminati, perchè il loro pane sarà per le loro persone e non entrerà nella casa del Signore.
5 What wil you do on the solemn feast-day, on the day of Yahweh's festival?	5 Che farete nel giorno della solennità, nel giorno della festa del Signore?
6 What a scene of devastastion they have left! Egypt wil round them up, Memphis will bury them, nettleswil inherit their fields and thorn-bushes invade their homesteads.	6 Perchè essi se ne sono andati a causa della devastazione; l'Egitto li raccoglierà, Memfi li seppellirà, e l'argento, tanto ambito da loro, sarà retaggio delle ortiche; le spine cresceranno nelle loro abitazioni.
7 The days of punishment have come, the days of retribution are here; Israel knows it! 'The prophet ismad and the inspired man a fool!' Great has been your guilt- al the greater then the hostility!	7 I giorni della visita sono giunti, sono venuti i giorni della retribuzione! Sappiatelo, voi d'Israele! Stolto è il profeta, insensato l'uomo spirituale, a causa della grandezza della tua iniquità e della enormità della tua insensatezza.
8 The watchman of Ephraim is with my God: it is the prophet- and a fowler's trap is placed on al hispaths; and in the shrine of his God there is enmity towards him.	8 La sentinella di Efraim è col mio Dio; il profeta è fatto laccio di rovina in tutti i suoi procedimenti, frenesia pazza nella casa del suo Dio.
9 They have become deeply corrupt as in the days of Gibeah; he will remember their guilt, he wil punishtheir sins.	9 Sono caduti nel profondo della corruzione, come ai giorni di Gabaa. Egli si ricorderà della loro iniquità, e farà scontare i loro peccati.
10 It was like finding grapes in the desert when I found Israel, like seeing early fruit on a fig tree when Isaw your ancestors; but when they reached Baal-Peor they devoted themselves to Shame and became asloathsome as the thing they loved.	10 Come uve del deserto, ho trovato Israele; come i primaticci del fico sulla punta dei suoi rami, ho veduto i padri suoi: essi si recarono a Beelfegor e si profanarono in cose vituperose e diventarono abominevoli come le cose che amarono.
11 The glory of Ephraim wil fly away like a bird: no giving birth, no pregnancy, no conceiving.	11 Efraim come volatile si involò; la loro gloria, dalle nascite, dai parti, dai concepimenti mancanti [va disparendo].
12 If they rear their children, I shal take them away before they grow up! Woe to them indeed when Ileave them!	12 Che se cresceranno prole, gli orberò dei loro figliuoli e resteranno senza uomini, e poi altri guai avranno ancora se da loro mi sarò ritirato.
13 Ephraim looked to me like Tyre, planted in a meadow, so Ephraim will present his children to theslaughterer.	13 Efraim quale lo vidi, pareggiava Tiro lussureggiante di bellezza; ma Efraim somministra i suoi figli a chi li uccide.
14 Give them, Yahweh- what are you to give? - give them wombs that miscarry and dried-up breasts.	14 Signore, dà loro! E che darai? Dà loro viscere senza prole e mammelle asciutte.
15 Their wickedness appeared in ful at Gilgal, there I came to hate them. Because of the wickedness oftheir deeds I shall drive them from my home, I shal love them no longer; all their princes are rebels.	15 Tutte le loro nefandità in Galgala: qui infatti mi sono venuti in odio: per la malvagità delle loro azioni, li scaccerò dalla mia casa; non continuerò più ad amarli: tutti i loro principi sono ribelli.
16 Ephraim is blasted, their root has dried out, they wil bear no more fruit. And even if they do bearchildren I shal slaughter the darlings of their womb.	16 Efraim è stato percosso; la loro radice è seccata, non faranno più frutto; e se pure avranno prole, farò morire le gioie delle loro viscere.
17 Because they have not listened to him, my God wil cast them off and they wil become wanderersamong the nations.	17 Il mio Dio li rigetterà, perchè non l'hanno ascoltato, e andranno raminghi tra le nazioni.
