1 He took me to the Hekal and measured its piers: six cubits wide on the one side, six cubits wide on theother.	1 Poi mi fece entrare nel tempio e ne misurò la facciata, sei cubiti in larghezza da una parte e sei cubiti in larghezza dall'altra, larghezza del tabernacolo.
2 The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the returns of the entrance were five cubits on the oneside and five cubits on the other. He measured its length: forty cubits; and its width: twenty cubits.	2 E la larghezza della porta era di dieci cubiti: i lati della porta avevan cinque cubiti da una parte e cinque cubiti dall'altra. E ne misurò la lunghezza di quaranta cubiti, e la larghezza di venti cubiti.
3 He then went inside and measured the pier at the entrance: two cubits; then the entrance; six cubits;and the returns of the entrance: seven cubits.	3 Ed entrato poi nella parte interiore, misurò i pilastri della porta, due cubiti, e la porta, di sei cubiti, e la larghezza della porta era di sette cubiti.
4 He measured its length; twenty cubits; and its width against the Hekal: twenty cubits. He then said tome, 'This is the Holy of Holies.'	4 E ne misurò la lunghezza di venti cubiti, e la larghezza di venti cubiti, davanti alla facciata del tempio, poi mi disse: « Questo è il Santo dei Santi ».
5 He then measured the wal of the Temple: six cubits. The width of the lateral structure was four cubits,al round the Temple.	5 E misurò il muro della casa sei cubiti, e la larghezza del l'edificio laterale che circondava da ogni parte la casa, quattro cubiti.
6 The cel s were one above the other in three tiers of thirty cells each. The cells were recessed into thewal , the wal of the structure comprising the cel s, all round, forming offsets; but there were no offsets in the walof the Temple itself.	6 L'edifìcio laterale, camera sopra camera, aveva due volte trentatrè (camere), e vi eran delle prominenze nelle pareti della casa, ai lati tutt'all'intorno, per sostenere (le camere) senza che toccassero il muro del tempio.
7 The width of the cel s increased, storey by storey, corresponding to the amount taken in from the wallfrom one storey to the next, all round the Temple.	7 E vi era uno spazio rotondo, e una scala che saliva a chiocciola e girando portava alle camere alte del tempio. Quindi il tempio era più largo nelle parti superiori, e così dal piano inferiore per quello di mezzo si saliva a quello superiore.
8 Then I saw that there was a paved terrace all round the Temple. The height of this, which formed thebase of the side cells, was one complete rod of six cubits.	8 Ed osservai l'altezza della casa all'intorno: l'edificio laterale aveva i fondamenti d'una canna, sei cubiti.
9 The outer wal of the side cells was five cubits thick. There was a passage between the cel s of theTemple	9 La larghezza del muro esterno (era) di cinque cubiti, e la casa interiore era cinta dall'edificio laterale della casa.
10 and the rooms, twenty cubits wide, al round the Temple.	10 E tra le camere v'era una larghezza di venti cubiti, da ogni parte della casa.
11 As a way in to the lateral cel s on the passage there was one entrance on the north side and oneentrance on the south side. The width of the passage was five cubits right round.	11 E le porte dell'edificio laterale eran dalla parte della preghiera: una porta a settentrione, una a mezzogiorno, e la larghezza del luogo per la preghiera era di cinque cubiti per ogni parte.
12 The building on the west side of the court was seventy cubits wide, the wal of the building was fivecubits thick al round and its length was ninety cubits.	12 E l'edificio che era separato e volto verso la parte del mare, aveva la larghezza di settanta cubiti, e la muraglia era larga cinque cubiti tutt'all'intorno, ed era lunga novanta cubiti.
13 He measured the length of the Temple: a hundred cubits.	13 E misurò la lunghezza della casa, cento cubiti, e l'edificio separato e le sue mura, cento cubiti, di lunghezza.
14 The length of the court plus the building and its wal s: a hundred cubits.	14 É lo spazio che era davanti alla facciata della casa, e dinanzi all'edificio separato, verso Oriente era di cento cubiti.
15 He measured the length of the building, along the court, at the back, and its gal eries on either side: ahundred cubits. The inside of the Hekal and the porches of the court,	15 E misurò la lunghezza dell'edificio che era in faccia a quello che era separato dalla parte posteriore e portici da ambe le parti, cento cubiti. Nel tempio interiore e nel vestibolo dell'atrio,
16 the thresholds, the windows, the gal eries on three sides, facing the threshold, were panel ed withwood al round from floor to windows, and the windows were screened with latticework.	16 le soglie, le finestre oblique, e i portici, all'intorno, per tre parti, di faccia a ciascuna soglia, erano coperti in giro di legname tutt'all'intorno. La terra era fino alle finestre, e le finestre sopra le porte erano chiuse.
17 From the door to the inner part of the Temple, as wel as outside, and on the wall all round, bothinside and out,	17 E fino alla casa interiore, e al di fuori fino tutta la muraglia all'intorno, interiore e esteriore, fu misurato.
18 were carved great winged creatures and palm trees, one palm tree between two winged creatures;each winged creature had two faces:	18 E v'erano scolpiti dei cherubini e delle palme, tra un cherubino e l'altro c'era una palma, ed ogni cherubino aveva due facce.
19 a human face turned towards the palm tree on one side and the face of a lion towards the palm treeon the other side, throughout the Temple, al round.	19 Aveva la faccia di uomo verso una palma da un lato, e la faccia di leone verso l'altra palma da un altro lato, ed era cosi scolpito per tutta la casa all'intorno.
20 Winged creatures and palm trees were carved on the wal from the floor to above the entrance.	20 Lo sculture dei cherubini e delle palme eran sulle pareti del tempio da terra fino al disopra della porta.
21 The doorposts of the Temple were square. In front of the sanctuary there was something like	21 La porta era quadrangolare, e la facciata del santuario rispondeva (a quella del tempio) in prospetto l'una e l'altra.
22 a wooden altar, three cubits high and two cubits square. Its corners, base and sides were of wood.He said to me, 'This is the table in the presence of Yahweh.'	22 L'altezza dell'altare di legno era di tre cubiti, e la lunghezza due cubiti, e i suoi angoli, e la sua superficie e i suoi lati eran di legno. E mi disse: « Questa è la tavola davanti al Signore ».
23 The Hekal had double doors and the sanctuary	23 Nel tempio e nel santuario c'eran due porte,
24 double doors. These doors had two hinged leaves, two leaves for the one door, two leaves for theother.	24 e nelle due porte v'erano da una parte e dall'altra due piccole porte che si ripiegavano l'una su l'altra: v'eran due battenti dall'una e dall'altra parte delle porte.
25 On them (on the doors of the Hekal), were carved great winged creatures and palm trees like thosecarved on the wal s. There was a wooden porch roof on the front of the Ulam on the outside,	25 E nelle stesse porte del tempio erano scolpiti dei cherubini e delle palme, come erano scolpiti sulle pareti, per questo il legname era più massiccio sulla facciata del vestibolo, all'esterno.
26 and windows with flanking palm trees on the sides of the Ulam, the cel s to the side of the Templeand the porch-roofs.	26 Sopra le quali cose v'eran le finestre oblique, e le figure delle palme di qua e di là nelle fiancate del vestibolo, lungo i lati della casa e la larghezza delle pareti.
