Ezekiel 4

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 'For your part, son of man, take a brick and lay it in front of you; on it scratch a city, Jerusalem.	1 "Figlio dell'uomo: prendi una tavoletta e mettitela davanti; incidi su di essa una città, Gerusalemme.
2 You are then to besiege it, trench round it, build earthworks, pitch camps and bring up battering-rams alround.	2 Poni attorno ad essa l'assedio, fa' una trincea, costruisci un vallo; metti gli accampamenti e colloca gli arieti tutt'intorno.
3 Then take an iron pan and place it as though it were an iron wal between you and the city. Then fixyour gaze on it; it is being besieged and you are besieging it. This is a sign for the House of Israel.	3 Prenditi una lastra di ferro e mettila come muro di ferro tra te e la città e fissa il tuo sguardo su di essa; che sia in assedio e tu l'assedierai. 4 'Lie down on your left side and take the guilt of the House of Israel on yourself. You wil bear their guiltfor as many days as you lie on that side.	4 Giaci sul fianco sinistro, mettendo su di esso la colpa della casa d'Israele; porterai la loro colpa per il numero dei giorni in cui giacerai su di esso.
5 Allowing one day for every year of their guilt, I ordain that you bear it for three hundred and ninety days;this is how you wil bear the House of Israel's guilt.	5 Io ti assegno per gli anni della loro colpa il numero di centonovanta giorni e tu porterai la colpa della casa d'Israele.
6 And when you have finished doing this, you are to lie down again, on your right side, and bear the guiltof the House of Judah for forty days. I have set the length for you as one day for one year.	6 Terminato ciò, giacerai sul fianco destro e porterai la colpa della casa di Giuda; ti assegno quaranta giorni, un giorno per ogni anno.
7 Then fix your gaze on the siege of Jerusalem, raise your bared arm and prophesy against her.	7 Fisserai il tuo sguardo e stenderai il braccio all'assedio di Gerusalemme e profetizzerai contro di essa.
8 Look, I am going to tie you up and you wil not be able to turn over from one side to the other until theperiod of your seclusion is over.	8 Sappi che ti metto addosso delle funi e non potrai voltarti da un fianco all'altro fino al compimento dei giorni della tua reclusione.
9 'Now take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, mil et and spelt; put them al in the same pot and make theminto bread for yourself. You are to eat it for as many days as you are lying on your side -- three hundred andninety days.	9 Prendi pertanto grano, orzo, fave, lenticchie, miglio e spelta e mettili in un recipiente; ti farai con essi del pane; lo mangerai nei centonovanta giorni in cui dovrai giacere sul tuo fianco
10 Of this food, you are to weigh out a daily portion of twenty shekels and eat it a little piece at a time.	10 e ne mangerai una razione di venti sicli; la mangerai a ore stabilite.
11 And you are to ration the water you drink -- a sixth of a hin -- drinking that a little at a time.	11 Berrai l'acqua in dosi di un sesto di hin a ore stabilite.
12 You are to eat this in the form of a barley cake baked where they can see you, on human dung.'	12 Mangerai questo cibo in forma di una sfoglia d'orzo e la cuocerai su escrementi umani".
13 And Yahweh said, 'This is how the Israelites wil have to eat their defiled food, wherever I dispersethem among the nations.'	13 Poi il Signore disse: "Così mangeranno il loro pane impuro i figli d'Israele, tra le genti tra le quali li caccerò".
14 I then said, 'Lord Yahweh, my soul is not defiled. From my childhood until now, I have never eaten ananimal that has died a natural death or been savaged; no tainted meat has ever entered my mouth.'	14 Ma io dissi: "Signore mio Dio, ecco, la mia gola non si è mai macchiata d'impurità; non ho mai mangiato carne infetta o dilaniata, dalla mia giovinezza fino ad oggi, e per la mia bocca non è mai passata carne guasta".
15 'Very wel ,' he said, 'I grant you cow-dung instead of human dung; you are to bake your bread on that.'	15 Allora mi disse: "Vedi, ti concedo gli escrementi di animale al posto di quelli umani; ti cuocerai il pane su quelli".
16 He then said, 'Son of man, I am going to cut off Jerusalem's food supply; in their extremity, the foodthey eat wil be weighed out; to their horror, the water they drink wil be rationed,	16 Mi disse: "Sto per spezzare in Gerusalemme il bastone del pane. Mangeranno pane razionato con ansia e berranno acqua misurata con sgomento,
17 until there is no food or water left, and they fall into a stupor and waste away because of their guilt.'	17 al punto che verranno meno il pane e l'acqua, rimarranno sgomenti l'uno di fronte all'altro e languiranno nella loro colpa".
