NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA MARTINI
1 'For your part, son of man, take a brick and lay it in front of you; on it scratch a city, Jerusalem.	1 Tu figliuolo dell'uomo, prenditi un mattone, e te lo porrai davanti, e su questo disegnerai fa città di Gerusalemme.
2 You are then to besiege it, trench round it, build earthworks, pitch camps and bring up battering-rams alround.	2 E disporrai contro di essa un assedio, e vi fabbricherai delle torri, e ammasserai terra, e porrai alloggiamenti contro di essa, e all'intorno metterai gli arieti.
3 Then take an iron pan and place it as though it were an iron wal between you and the city. Then fixyour gaze on it; it is being besieged and you are besieging it. This is a sign for the House of Israel.	3 E tu prenditi una padella di ferro, e la porrai, qual muro di ferro, tra te, a la città, e la guarderai con occhio bieco, ed ella sarà assediata, e tu la circonderai. 4 'Lie down on your left side and take the guilt of the House of Israel on yourself. You wil bear their guiltfor as many days as you lie on that side.	4 E tu dormirai sul tuo fianco sinistro, e porrai su di questo le iniquità della casa d'Israele per quel numero di giorni, ne' quali tu dormirai su di quel, e porterai le loro iniquità.
5 Allowing one day for every year of their guilt, I ordain that you bear it for three hundred and ninety days;this is how you wil bear the House of Israel's guilt.	5 Or io ti ho dato il numero di trecento novanta giorni per tanti anni della loro iniquità; e tu porterai l'iniquità della casa d'Israele.
6 And when you have finished doing this, you are to lie down again, on your right side, and bear the guiltof the House of Judah for forty days. I have set the length for you as one day for one year.	6 E finiti questi giorni tu dormirai in secondo luogo sul tuo destro fianco, e porterai l'iniquità della casa di Giuda per quaranta giorni, un dì per un anno; perocché ho assegnato a te un di per un anno.
7 Then fix your gaze on the siege of Jerusalem, raise your bared arm and prophesy against her.	7 E volgerai la tua faccia all'assediata Gerusalemme, e stenderai il tuo braccio, e profeterai contro di lei.
8 Look, I am going to tie you up and you wil not be able to turn over from one side to the other until theperiod of your seclusion is over.	8 Ecco che io ti ho cinto di catene, e tu non ti volterai da un lato all'altro fino a tanto, che tu abbi compiuti i giorni del tuo assedio.
9 'Now take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, mil et and spelt; put them al in the same pot and make theminto bread for yourself. You are to eat it for as many days as you are lying on your side -- three hundred andninety days.	9 E tu prendi del frumento, e dell'orzo, e delle fave, e delle lenti, e del miglio, e della vezza, e queste cose metti in un vaso, e ne farai dei pani se condo il numero de' giorni, ne' quali dormirai sul tuo fianco: ne mangerai per trecento novanta giorni.
10 Of this food, you are to weigh out a daily portion of twenty shekels and eat it a little piece at a time.	10 E quel, che tu mangerai per tuo nutrimento, sarà del peso di venti stateri per giorno: lo mangerai da un tempo all'altro.
11 And you are to ration the water you drink -- a sixth of a hin -- drinking that a little at a time.	11 E l'acqua berai a misura, la sesta parte di un hin; la berai da un tempo all'altro.
12 You are to eat this in the form of a barley cake baked where they can see you, on human dung.'	12 E (il pane) lo mangerai cotto sotto la cenere come una schiacciata di orzo; e collo sterco umano lo cuoprirai sotto gli occhi loro.
13 And Yahweh said, 'This is how the Israelites wil have to eat their defiled food, wherever I dispersethem among the nations.'	13 E disse il Signore: Cosi i figliuoli d'Israele mangeranno immondo il loro pane tralle nazioni, dov'io li caccerò.
14 I then said, 'Lord Yahweh, my soul is not defiled. From my childhood until now, I have never eaten ananimal that has died a natural death or been savaged; no tainted meat has ever entered my mouth.'	14 E io dissi: Ah, ah, ah, Signore Dio, l'anima mia non è contaminata, e dalla mia adolescenza fino ad ora non mangiai d'animale morto da se, o sbranato dalle fiere, e nissuna sorta di carne immonda è entrata in bocca a me:
15 'Very wel ,' he said, 'I grant you cow-dung instead of human dung; you are to bake your bread on that.'	15 Ed ei mi disse: Ecco che in cambio di sterco umano ti assegno sterco di bue, e con questo farai il tuo pane.
16 He then said, 'Son of man, I am going to cut off Jerusalem's food supply; in their extremity, the foodthey eat wil be weighed out; to their horror, the water they drink wil be rationed,	16 E mi disse: Figliuolo dell'uomo, ecco che io torrò a Gerusalemme il sostentamento del pane, e il pane mangeranno a once, e con apprensione, e l'acqua beranno a misura con afflizione;
17 until there is no food or water left, and they fall into a stupor and waste away because of their guilt.'	17 Talmente, che mancato il pane, e l'acqua, venga a cadere l'uno addosso all'altro, e si consumino nelle loro iniquità.
