Ezekiel 4

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 'For your part, son of man, take a brick and lay it in front of you; on it scratch a city, Jerusalem.	1 «Figlio dell’uomo, prendi una tavoletta d’argilla, mettila dinanzi a te, disegnaci sopra una città, Gerusalemme,
2 You are then to besiege it, trench round it, build earthworks, pitch camps and bring up battering-rams alround.	2 e disponi intorno ad essa l’assedio: rizza torri, costruisci terrapieni, schiera gli accampamenti e colloca intorno gli arieti.
3 Then take an iron pan and place it as though it were an iron wal between you and the city. Then fixyour gaze on it; it is being besieged and you are besieging it. This is a sign for the House of Israel.	3 Poi prendi una teglia di ferro e mettila come muro di ferro fra te e la città, e tieni fisso lo sguardo su di essa, che sarà assediata, anzi tu la assedierai! Questo sarà un segno per la casa d’Israele.
4 'Lie down on your left side and take the guilt of the House of Israel on yourself. You wil bear their guiltfor as many days as you lie on that side.	4 Mettiti poi a giacere sul fianco sinistro e io ti carico delle iniquità d’Israele. Per il numero di giorni in cui giacerai su di esso, espierai le sue iniquità:
5 Allowing one day for every year of their guilt, I ordain that you bear it for three hundred and ninety days;this is how you wil bear the House of Israel's guilt.	5 io ho computato per te gli anni della sua espiazione come un numero di giorni. Espierai le iniquità della casa d’Israele per trecentonovanta giorni.
6 And when you have finished doing this, you are to lie down again, on your right side, and bear the guiltof the House of Judah for forty days. I have set the length for you as one day for one year.	6 Terminati questi, giacerai sul fianco destro ed espierai le iniquità di Giuda per quaranta giorni, computando un giorno per ogni anno.
7 Then fix your gaze on the siege of Jerusalem, raise your bared arm and prophesy against her.	7 Terrai fisso lo sguardo contro il muro di Gerusalemme, terrai il braccio disteso e profeterai contro di essa.
8 Look, I am going to tie you up and you wil not be able to turn over from one side to the other until theperiod of your seclusion is over.	8 Ecco, ti ho cinto di funi, in modo che tu non potrai voltarti né da una parte né dall’altra, finché tu non abbia ultimato i giorni della tua reclusione.
9 'Now take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, mil et and spelt; put them al in the same pot and make theminto bread for yourself. You are to eat it for as many days as you are lying on your side -- three hundred andninety days.	9 Prendi intanto grano, orzo, fave, lenticchie, miglio e spelta, mettili in un recipiente e fattene del pane: ne mangerai durante tutti i giorni in cui tu rimarrai disteso sul fianco, cioè per trecentonovanta giorni.
10 Of this food, you are to weigh out a daily portion of twenty shekels and eat it a little piece at a time.	10 La razione che assumerai sarà del peso di venti sicli al giorno: la consumerai a ore stabilite.
11 And you are to ration the water you drink -- a sixth of a hin -- drinking that a little at a time.	11 Anche l’acqua che berrai sarà razionata: un sesto di hin, a ore stabilite.
12 You are to eat this in the form of a barley cake baked where they can see you, on human dung.'	12 Mangerai questo cibo fatto in forma di schiacciata d’orzo: la cuocerai sopra escrementi umani davanti ai loro occhi».
13 And Yahweh said, 'This is how the Israelites wil have to eat their defiled food, wherever I dispersethem among the nations.'	13 Il Signore mi disse: «In tale maniera mangeranno i figli d’Israele il loro pane impuro in mezzo alle nazioni fra le quali li disperderò».
14 I then said, 'Lord Yahweh, my soul is not defiled. From my childhood until now, I have never eaten ananimal that has died a natural death or been savaged; no tainted meat has ever entered my mouth.'	14 Io esclamai: «Signore Dio, mai mi sono contaminato! Dall’infanzia fino ad ora mai ho mangiato carne di bestia morta o sbranata, né mai è entrato nella mia bocca cibo impuro».
15 'Very wel ,' he said, 'I grant you cow-dung instead of human dung; you are to bake your bread on that.'	15 Egli mi rispose: «Ebbene, invece di escrementi umani ti concedo sterco di bue; lì sopra cuocerai il tuo pane».
16 He then said, 'Son of man, I am going to cut off Jerusalem's food supply; in their extremity, the foodthey eat wil be weighed out; to their horror, the water they drink wil be rationed,	16 Poi soggiunse: «Figlio dell’uomo, ecco io tolgo a Gerusalemme la riserva del pane; mangeranno con angoscia il pane razionato e berranno in preda all’affanno l’acqua misurata.
17 until there is no food or water left, and they fall into a stupor and waste away because of their guilt.'	17 Mancando pane e acqua, languiranno tutti insieme e si consumeranno nelle loro iniquità.
