Ezekiel 37

1 The hand of Yahweh was on me; he carried me away by the spirit of Yahweh and set me down in themiddle of the val ey, a valley ful of bones.	1 La mano del Signore fu sopra di me, e mi menò fuora in ispirito del Signore, e mi posò in mezzo di un campo, che era pieno di ossa:
2 He made me walk up and down and all around among them. There were vast quantities of thesebones on the floor of the val ey; and they were completely dry.	2 E mi fece girare intorno ad esse: or elle erano in gran quantità sulla faccia del campo, e secche grandemente.
3 He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'You know, Lord Yahweh.'	3 E (il Signore) disse a me: Figliuolo dell'uomo, pensi tu, che queste ossa siano per riavere la vita? Ed io dissi: Signore Dio tu lo sai.
4 He said, 'Prophesy over these bones. Say, "Dry bones, hear the word of Yahweh.	4 Ed ei disse a me: Profetizza sopra queste ossa, e dirai loro: Ossa aride, udite la parola del Signore.
5 The Lord Yahweh says this to these bones: I am now going to make breath enter you, and you willlive.	5 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio a queste ossa: Ecco, che io infonderò in a voi lo spirito, e avrete vita.
6 I shal put sinews on you, I shal make flesh grow on you, I shal cover you with skin and give youbreath, and you wil live; and you wil know that I am Yahweh." '	6 E sopra di voi farò nascere i nervi, e sopra di voi farò crescer le carni, e sopra di voi stenderò la pelle, e darò a voi lo spirito, e viverete, e conoscerete, ch'io sono il Signore.
7 I prophesied as I had been ordered. While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a clattering sound; itwas the bones coming together.	7 E profetai com'ei mi avea ordinato; e nel mentre, ch'io profetava, udissi uno strepito, ed ecco un movimento, e si accostarono ossa ad ossa, ciascuno alla propria giuntura.
8 And as I looked, they were covered with sinews; flesh was growing on them and skin was coveringthem, yet there was no breath in them.	8 E mirai, ed ecco sopra di esse venner i nervi, e le carni, e si stese sopra di esse la pelle, ma non avevano spirito.
9 He said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man. Say to the breath, "The Lord Yahwehsays this: Come from the four winds, breath; breathe on these dead, so that they come to life!" '	9 Ed ei disse a me: Profetizza allo spirito, profetizza, figliuolo dell'uomo, e dirai allo spirito: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Dai quattro venti vieni, o spirito, e soffia sopra questi morti, ed ei risuscitino.
10 I prophesied as he had ordered me, and the breath entered them; they came to life and stood up ontheir feet, a great, an immense army.	10 E profetai com'egli m' avea comandato, ed entrò in quegli lo spirito, e riebbero vita, e si stetter su' piedi loro, esercito grande formisura.
11 Then he said, 'Son of man, these bones are the whole House of Israel. They keep saying, "Ourbones are dry, our hope has gone; we are done for."	11 Ed ei disse a me: Figliuolo dell'uomo, tutte queste ossa sono la famiglia d'Israele: essi dicono: Le ossa nostre son aride, ed è perita la nostra speranza, e noi siam (rami) troncati.
12 So, prophesy. Say to them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am now going to open your graves; I shallraise you from your graves, my people, and lead you back to the soil of Israel.	12 Per questo tu profetizza, e dirai loro: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io aprirò i vostri sepolcri, e da' sepolcri vostri vi trarrò fuora, popolo mio, e vi condurrò nella terra d'Israele.
13 And you wil know that I am Yahweh, when I open your graves and raise you from your graves, mypeople,	13 E conoscerete, ch'io sono il Signore, quando avrò aperti i vostri sepolcri, e da' sepolcri vostri vi avrò tratti, popolo mio,
14 and put my spirit in you, and you revive, and I resettle you on your own soil. Then you will know thatI, Yahweh, have spoken and done this -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	14 Ed avrò infuso in voi il mio spirito, e viverete, e nella terra vostra vi avrò dato riposo: e conoscerete, che io il Signore ho parlato, ed ho fatto, dice il Signore Dio.
15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	15 Ed il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
16 'Son of man, take a stick and write on it, "Judah and those Israelites loyal to him." Take another stick and write on it, "Joseph (Ephraim's wood) and all the House of Israel loyal to him."	16 E tu, figliuolo dell'uomo, prenditi un legno, e scrivi sopra di esso: A Giuda, ed a' figliuoli d'Israele, che sono con lui: e prendi un altro legno, e scrivi sopra di esso: A Giuseppe verga di Ephraim, e a tutta la casa a Israele, eda que', che sono con lei.
17 'Join one to the other to make a single piece of wood, a single stick in your hand.	17 E accosta l'uno all'altro per fartene un solo legno, ed ei nella mano tua si congiungeranno.
18 And when the members of your nation say, "Wil you not tel us what you mean?"	18 E allora quando i figliuoli del popol tuo parleranno a te, e djranno: Non ci dirai tu quel, che tu voglia significare con questo;
19 say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am taking the stick of Joseph (now in Ephraim's hand) and thosetribes of Israel loyal to him and shal join them to the stick of Judah. I shal make one stick out of the two, a singlestick in my hand."	19 Tu dirai loro: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io prenderò il legno di Giuseppe, che è nella mano di Ephraim, e le tribù d'Israele, che a lui sono unite, e le congiungerò insieme col legno di Giuda, e ne farò un legno solo, e saranno un solo nella mia mano.
20 'When the pieces of wood you have written on are in your hand in ful sight of them,	20 Ed avrai dinanzi a loro nella tua mano i legni, sopra de' quali tu hai scritto,
21 say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall take the Israelites from the nations where they have gone. Ishall gather them to- gether from everywhere and bring them home to their own soil.	21 E dirai loro: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io prenderò i figliuoli d'Israele di mezzo alle nazioni, tralle quai se n'andarono, e li raunerò da ogni parte, e ricoudurrolli alla loro terra.
22 I shal make them into one nation in the country, on the mountains of Israel, and one king is to beking of them al ; they will no longer form two nations, nor be two separate kingdoms.	22 E faronne una sola nazione nella lor terra sui monti d'Israele, e un solo sarà il re, che a tutti comanderà, e non saran più due nazioni, né saran più divise in due regni.
23 They will no longer defile themselves with their foul idols, their horrors and any of their crimes. I shallsave them from the acts of infidelity which they have committed and shal cleanse them; they will be my peopleand I shall be their God.	23 E non si contamineranno più cogl'idoli loro, e colle loro abbominazioni, e colle loro iniquità; e li trarrò salvi da tutti i luoghi, dov'ei peccarono, e li monderò, e saranno mio popolo, ed io sarò loro Dio.
24 My servant David will reign over them, one shepherd for al ; they wil fol ow my judgements, respectmy laws and practise them.	24 E il mio servo Davidde sarà il loro re, e un solo sarà di loro tutti il pastore, e osserveran le mie leggi, e custodiranno i miei comandamenti, e li metteranno in opera.
25 They will live in the country which I gave to my servant Jacob, the country in which your ancestorslived. They wil live in it, they, their children, their children's children, for ever. David my servant is to be theirprince for ever.	25 Ed abiteranno la terra, ch'io diedi al mio servo Giacobbe, nella quale abitarono i padri vostri, ed in essa abiteranno eglino, e i loro figliuoli, e i figliuoli de' figliuoli fino in sempiterno; e Davidde mio servo sarà il loro principe in perpetuo.
26 I shal make a covenant of peace with them, an eternal covenant with them. I shal resettle them andmake them grow; I shall set my sanctuary among them for ever.	26 È farò con essi alleanza di pace, che sarà un patto sempiterno per essi; e darò loro stabilità, e li moltiplicherò, e porrò in mezzo ad essi il mio santuario per sempre.
27 I shal make my home above them; I shall be their God, and they wil be my people.	27 E presso di loro sarà il mio tabernacolo, e sarò loro Dio, ed ei saranno mio popolo.
28 And the nations wil know that I am Yahweh the sanctifier of Israel, when my sanctuary is with themfor ever." '	28 E conosceranno le genti, ch'io sono il Signore, il santificatore d'Israele, quando il santuario mio sarà in mezzo ad essi in perpetuo.
