Ezekiel 35

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.	2 « Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso il monte di Seir, e profetizza contro di lui, e digli:
3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;	3 Così parla il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o monte di Seir: io stenderò sopra di te la mia mano, e ti renderò desolato e deserto.
4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 Demolirò le tue città, e tu resterai un deserto, e saprai ch'io sono il Signore.
5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,	5 Perchè tu sei stato nemico eterno, e hai rinchiusi i figli d'Israele sotto il potere della spada nel tempo della loro sventura, nel tempo del loro male estremo,
6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.	6 per questo, io vivo! — dice il Signore Dio. — Ti abbandonerò al sangue, e il sangue ti perseguiterà: tu odii il sangue, ma il sangue ti perseguiterà.
7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.	7 E renderò il monte di Seir desolato e deserto e ne toglierò chi va e chi viene;
8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .	8 e riempirò i suoi monti dei suoi uccisi: sui tuoi colli, nelle tue valli, e nei tuoi torrenti cadranno gli uccisi dalla spada.
9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	9 Ti ridurrò a solitudini eterne, e le tue città non saranno abitate, e saprete che io sono il Signore.
10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,	10 Perchè tu hai detto: « Le due nazioni e i due paesi saran miei, e ne avrò l'ereditario possesso, sebbene ci sia il Signore »,
11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,	11 per questo, io vivo! — dice il Signore Dio — Ti tratterò secondo la tua collera, e secondo la tua gelosia che hai mostrata nell'odio contro di essi, e mi farò conoscere per essi, quando avrò fatto giustizia di te.
12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.	12 E tu saprai che io sono il Signore. Ho sentiti tutti gli oltraggi che tu hai detti contro i monti d'Israele, dicendo: « Sono in abbandono e ci son dati, (qual preda) a divorare»,
13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!	13 e vi siete inalberati contro di me colla vostra bocca, e avete scagliate contro di me le vostre parole, ed io ho sentito!
14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.	14 Così parla il Signore Dio: Con gioia di tutta la terra io ti ridurrò in solitudine.
15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "	15 Come ti sei rallegrato riguardo all'eredità della casa d'Israele, perchè è stata devastata, così pure farò a te: tu sarai devastato, o monte di Seir, e così tutta l'intera Idumea. E sapranno che io sono il Signore ».
