Ezekiel 35

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 LA parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.	2 Figliuol d’uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso il monte di Seir, e profetizza contro ad esso, e digli:
3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;	3 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi a te, o monte di Seir, e stenderò la mia mano sopra te, e ti ridurrò in desolazione, e in deserto.
4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 Io metterò le tue città in deserto, e tu sarai desolato, e conoscerai che io sono il Signore.
5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,	5 Perciocchè tu hai avuta nimicizia antica, ed hai atterrati i figliuoli d’Israele per la spada, nel tempo della lor calamità, nel tempo del colmo dell’iniquità.
6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.	6 Perciò, come io vivo, dice il Signore Iddio, io ti metterò tutto in sangue, e il sangue ti perseguiterà; se tu non hai avuto in odio il sangue, il sangue altresì ti perseguiterà.
7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.	7 E metterò il monte di Seir in desolazione, e in deserto; e farò che non vi sarà più chi vada, nè chi venga.
8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .	8 Ed empierò i suoi monti de’ suoi uccisi; gli uccisi con la spada caderanno sopra i tuoi colli, nelle tue valli, e per tutte le tue pendici.
9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	9 Io ti ridurrò in deserti eterni, e le tue città non saranno giammai più ristorate; e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore
10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,	10 Perciocchè tu hai detto: Quelle due nazioni, e que’ due paesi saranno miei; e noi le possederemo benchè il Signore sia stato quivi;
11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,	11 perciò, come io vivo, dice il Signore Iddio, io opererò secondo la tua ira, e secondo la tua gelosia, onde hai prodotti gli effetti, per lo grande odio tuo contro a loro; e sarò conosciuto fra loro, quando ti avrò giudicato.
12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.	12 E tu conoscerai che io, il Signore, ho udito tutti i tuoi oltraggi, che tu hai detti contro a’ monti d’Israele, dicendo: Eglino son deserti, ci son dati per divorarli;
13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!	13 e che altresì ho udito come voi vi siete magnificati contro a me con la vostra bocca, e avete moltiplicate le vostre parole contro a me.
14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.	14 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Quando tutta la terra si rallegrerà, io ti ridurrò in desolazione.
15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "	15 Siccome tu ti sei rallegrato per l’eredità della casa d’Israele, per ciò ch’era deserta; così ancora io opererò inverso te; tu sarai desolato, o monte di Seir; anzi Edom tutto quanto; e si conoscerà che io sono il Signore
