Ezekiel 35

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, rivolgi la faccia contro il monte di Seir e profetizza contro di esso.
3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;	3 Digli: Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Eccomi contro di te, monte di Seir, stenderò contro di te il mio braccio e ti renderò devastato e desolato.
4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 Farò delle tue città una devastazione, tu sarai una desolazione e riconoscerai che io sono il Signore.
5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,	5 Poiché c'è stato in te un odio eterno e hai gettato i figli d'Israele in preda alla spada al tempo della catastrofe, quando la colpa giunse alla fine,
6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.	6 perciò, per la mia vita, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, ti riserbo per il sangue e il sangue ti perseguiterà. Certamente: ti sei messo addosso sangue e il sangue ti perseguiterà.
7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.	7 Renderò il monte di Seir una desolazione e un deserto e ne reciderò chi va e chi viene.
8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .	8 Riempirò i suoi monti di uccisi; sui tuoi colli, nelle tue gole e in tutte le valli cadranno trafitti dalla spada.
9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	9 Ti ridurrò a una desolazione eterna; e le tue città non saranno più abitate. Così conoscerete che io sono il Signore.
10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,	10 Poiché hai detto: "Le due nazioni e i due paesi sono miei, noi li possederemo", nonostante che là ci fosse il Signore,
11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,	11 perciò, per la mia vita, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, ti tratterò secondo l'ira e l'invidia che hai mostrato nel tuo odio contro di essi. Sarò riconosciuto da loro da come ti giudicherò
12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.	12 e tu riconoscerai che io, il Signore, ho udito tutte le tue ingiurie; infatti hai detto così contro i monti d'Israele: "Sono devastati, sono dati a noi perché ce li mangiamo".
13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!	13 Vi siete gonfiati contro di me, con la vostra bocca mi avete subissato di parole. Ho sentito, sì!
14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.	14 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Con la gioia di tutto il paese farò in te una desolazione.
15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "	15 Siccome tu hai goduto per l'eredità della casa d'Israele, perché è desolata, così tratterò te: diverrai una desolazione tu, monte di Seir e tutto Edom; si saprà che io sono il Signore".
