Ezekiel 35

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.	2 «Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la faccia verso il monte di Seir e profetizza su di esso e gli dirai:
3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;	3 - Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, monte di Seir, e stenderò la mia mano sopra di te e ti renderò desolato e deserto;
4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 farò delle tue città un cumulo di rovine e tu resterai deserto; e conoscerai che io sono il Signore.
5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,	5 Perchè sei stato l'eterno nemico, e hai sbarrato il passo ai figli d'Israele colla spada alla mano nel tempo della loro afflizione, nel tempo dell'estrema iniquità.
6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.	6 Per questo, vivo io, dice il Signore Dio, che ti metterò a sangue e il sangue ti perseguiterà; hai odiato a sangue e a sangue sarai perseguitato.
7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.	7 E renderò desolato deserto il monte Seir e farò sparire da esso chi va e chi viene.
8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .	8 Ed empirò i suoi monti de' suoi propri uccisi, nelle colline, nelle valli e nei torrenti cadranno i colpiti dalla spada.
9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	9 Ti ridurrò in perpetue solitudini e le tue città non saranno mai più abitate, e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.
10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,	10 Perchè hai detto: Le due nazioni e le due terre saranno mie e io le possederò in retaggio, nonostante che il Signore fosse là.
11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,	11 Perciò, vivo io, dice il Signore, che opererò conforme la tua ira e la tua gelosia, avendola tu adoperata nell'odio che serbasti contro di essi, e mi farò conoscere in mezzo di essi, quando farò giustizia di te.
12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.	12 E conoscerai che io, il Signore, io ho udito tutti i tuoi vituperi che hai proferito contro i monti d'Israele dicendo: Sono disabitati, sono un bel boccone preparato per noi!
13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!	13 E siete insorti a gola spiegata contro di me sbraitando i vostri paroloni; ho ben udito io! -».
14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.	14 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Quando tutta la terra sarà in festa, farò di te una solitudine;
15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "	15 come tu hai fatto festa sopra il retaggio della casa d'Israele, perchè era stato devastato, lo stesso farò io di te: sarai devastato, o monte di Seir, con tutta insieme l'Idumea; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore.
