Ezekiel 35

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.	2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia la montaña de Seir y profetiza contra ella.
3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;	3 Tú le dirás: Así habla el Señor: ¡Aquí estoy contra ti, montaña de Seír! Yo extenderé mi mano contra ti y te convertiré en un desierto desolado.
4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 Dejaré tus ciudades en ruinas y tú misma serás una desolación. Así sabrás que yo soy el Señor.
5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,	5 Porque has mantenido una antigua enemistad y has entregado a los israelitas al filo de la espada, en el día de su desastre, en el día de la expiación final;
6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.	6 por eso juro por mi vida –oráculo del Señor–: Te convertiré en sangre y la sangre te perseguirá. ¡Te has hecho reo de sangre y la sangre te perseguirá!
7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.	7 Yo haré de la montaña de Seír un desierto desolado, y extirparé de ella al que va y al que viene.
8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .	8 Llenaré sus montes de víctimas: las víctimas de las espada caerán en tus colinas, en tus valles y en todos los cauces de tus ríos.
9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	9 Te convertiré en una desolación eterna y tus ciudades no volverán a ser habitadas. Así ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,	10 Porque tú dices: «Las dos naciones y los dos territorios me pertenecen: los voy a tomar en posesión», siendo así que el Señor estaba allí,
11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,	11 por eso, juro por mi vida –oráculo del Señor– que voy a obrar con el mismo furor y con el mismo celo con que obraste tú, en tu odio contra ellos, y me daré a conocer a ti cuando te juzgue.
12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.	12 Entonces sabrás que yo, el Señor, he oído todas las blasfemias que pronunciaste contra las montañas de Israel, cuando dijiste: «¡Están devastadas; nos han sido entregadas como presa!».
13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!	13 Ustedes me han desafiado con su lengua y han multiplicado sus palabras contra mí, Pero yo he oído todo.
14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.	14 Así habla el Señor: Yo te convertiré en una desolación, para alegría de toda la tierra.
15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "	15 Así como tú te alegraste cuando quedó desolada la herencia de la casa de Israel, yo haré lo mismo contigo: ¡quedarás desolada, montaña de Seír, igual que todo Edom! Así se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.
