Ezekiel 29

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 In the tenth year, on the twelfth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 Nell’anno decimo, nel decimo mese, il dodici del mese, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against the whole ofEgypt.	2 «Figlio dell’uomo, rivolgiti contro il faraone, re d’Egitto, e profetizza contro di lui e contro tutto l’Egitto.
3 Speak and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt- the greatcrocodile wal owing in his Niles who thought: My Nile is mine, I made it.	3 Parla dunque dicendo: Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro di te, faraone, re d’Egitto; grande coccodrillo, sdraiato in mezzo al Nilo, hai detto: “Il Nilo è mio, è mia creatura”.
4 I shal put hooks through your jaws, make your Nile fish stick to your scales, and pul you out of yourNiles with al your Nile fish sticking to your scales.	4 Metterò ganci alle tue mascelle e farò sì che i pesci dei tuoi fiumi ti si attacchino alle squame e ti farò uscire dal tuo Nilo insieme con tutti i pesci del tuo Nilo attaccati alle squame;
5 I shal drop you in the desert, with al your Nile fish. You will fal in the wilds and not be taken up orburied. I shall give you as food to the wild animals and the birds of heaven,	5 getterò nel deserto te e tutti i pesci del tuo Nilo, e andrai a cadere in mezzo alla campagna e non sarai né raccolto né sepolto: ti darò in pasto alle bestie selvatiche e agli uccelli del cielo.
6 and all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, for they have given no more support thana reed to the House of Israel.	6 Tutti gli abitanti dell’Egitto sapranno che io sono il Signore, poiché tu sei stato un sostegno di canna per la casa d’Israele.
7 Wherever they grasped you, you broke in their hands and cut their hands al over. Whenever theyleaned on you, you broke, making al their limbs give way.	7 Quando questi ti vollero afferrare ti rompesti, lacerando tutta la loro spalla, e quando si appoggiarono a te ti spezzasti, facendo vacillare tutti i loro fianchi.
8 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shal send the sword against you to denude you of human andanimal.	8 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, io manderò contro di te una spada ed eliminerò da te uomini e bestie.
9 Egypt wil become a desolate waste, and they wil know that I am Yahweh. Because he thought: TheNile is mine, I made it,	9 L’Egitto diventerà un luogo desolato e deserto e sapranno che io sono il Signore. Perché egli ha detto: “Il Nilo è mio, è mia creatura”.
10 very well, I am against you and your Niles. I shal make Egypt a waste and a desolation, from Migdolto Syene and beyond to the frontiers of Ethiopia.	10 Ebbene, eccomi contro di te e contro il tuo Nilo. Io farò dell’Egitto, da Migdol fino a Siene, fino alla frontiera d’Etiopia, una terra deserta e desolata.
11 No human foot wil pass through it, no animal foot will pass through it. For forty years it wil remainuninhabited.	11 Non vi passerà piede d’uomo o d’animale e rimarrà deserta per quarant’anni.
12 I shal make Egypt the most desolate of countries; for forty years its cities wil be the most desolate ofwasted cities. And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the countries.	12 Ridurrò l’Egitto a una terra desolata fra le terre devastate e le sue città saranno distrutte, rimarranno una desolazione per quarant’anni e disperderò gli Egiziani fra le genti e li disseminerò in paesi stranieri.
13 The Lord Yahweh, however, says this: After forty years have passed, I shal gather the Egyptiansback from the nations where they were dispersed.	13 Perché così dice il Signore Dio: Al termine dei quarant’anni io radunerò gli Egiziani dai popoli in mezzo ai quali li avevo dispersi.
14 I shal bring the Egyptian captives back and re-instal them in the land of Pathros, in the country oftheir origin. There they wil constitute a modest kingdom.	14 Muterò la loro sorte e li ricondurrò nel paese di Patros, nella loro terra d’origine, e lì formeranno un piccolo regno;
15 Egypt wil be the most modest of kingdoms and no longer dominate other nations; for I shal reduce it,so that it will not rule other nations ever again.	15 sarà il più modesto fra gli altri regni e non si ergerà più sugli altri popoli. Li renderò piccoli e non domineranno più le altre nazioni.
16 It wil no longer be anything for the House of Israel to trust in, but wil be a reminder of the guilt whichlay in turning to it for help. And they will know that I am Lord Yahweh." '	16 Non costituiranno più una speranza per la casa d’Israele, alla quale ricorderanno l’iniquità di quando si rivolgeva a loro: sapranno allora che io sono il Signore Dio».
17 In the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed tome as fol ows:	17 Ora, nell’anno ventisettesimo, nel primo mese, il primo del mese, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
18 'Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken his army in a great expedition against Tyre.Their heads have al gone bald, their shoulders are al chafed, but even so he has derived no profit, either forhimself or for his army, from the expedition mounted against Tyre.	18 «Figlio dell’uomo, Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, ha fatto compiere al suo esercito una grande impresa contro Tiro: ogni testa è diventata calva e ogni spalla è piagata, ma il re e il suo esercito non hanno ricevuto da Tiro il compenso per l’impresa compiuta contro di essa.
19 Since this is so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I shall hand Egypt over to Nebuchadnezzar kingof Babylon. He wil carry off its riches, loot it, put it to the sack; that wil be the wages for his army.	19 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, io consegno a Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, la terra d’Egitto; porterà via le sue ricchezze, si impadronirà delle sue spoglie, la saccheggerà. Questa sarà la paga per il suo esercito.
20 As wages for the trouble he has taken, I am giving him Egypt instead (for they have been working forme)-declares the Lord Yahweh.	20 Per l’impresa compiuta contro Tiro io gli consegno la terra d’Egitto, poiché l’ha compiuta per me. Oracolo del Signore.
21 "That day, I shall raise up a new stock for the House of Israel and al ow you to open your mouthamong them. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	21 In quel giorno io farò germogliare una forza per la casa d’Israele e ti farò aprire la bocca in mezzo a loro: sapranno che io sono il Signore».
