Ezekiel 29

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 In the tenth year, on the twelfth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 El año décimo, el día doce del décimo mes, la palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against the whole ofEgypt.	2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.
3 Speak and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt- the greatcrocodile wal owing in his Niles who thought: My Nile is mine, I made it.	3 Habla y di: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquí estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, gran cocodrilo, recostado en medio de sus Nilos, tú que has dicho: «Mi Nilo es mío. yo mismo lo he hecho».
4 I shal put hooks through your jaws, make your Nile fish stick to your scales, and pul you out of yourNiles with al your Nile fish sticking to your scales.	4 Voy a ponerte garfios en las quijadas, pegaré a tus escamas los peces de tus Nilos, te sacaré fuera de tus Nilos, con todos los peces de tus Nilos, pegados a tus escamas.
5 I shal drop you in the desert, with al your Nile fish. You will fal in the wilds and not be taken up orburied. I shall give you as food to the wild animals and the birds of heaven,	5 Te arrojaré al desierto, a ti y a todos los peces de tus Nilos. En la haz del campo caerás, no serás recogido ni enterrado. A las bestias de la tierra y a las aves del cielo te entregaré como pasto,
6 and all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, for they have given no more support thana reed to the House of Israel.	6 y sabrán todos los habitantes de Egipto que yo soy Yahveh. Porque has sido un apoyo de caña para la casa de Israel;
7 Wherever they grasped you, you broke in their hands and cut their hands al over. Whenever theyleaned on you, you broke, making al their limbs give way.	7 cuando ellos te agarraban, te rompías en sus manos y desgarrabas toda su palma; cuando se apoyaban en tí, te hacías pedazos y hacías vacilar todos los riñones.
8 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shal send the sword against you to denude you of human andanimal.	8 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo traigo contra ti la espada, para extirpar de ti hombres y bestias.
9 Egypt wil become a desolate waste, and they wil know that I am Yahweh. Because he thought: TheNile is mine, I made it,	9 El país de Egipto se convertirá en desolación y ruina, y se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh. Por haber dicho: «El Nilo es mío, yo mismo lo he hecho»,
10 very well, I am against you and your Niles. I shal make Egypt a waste and a desolation, from Migdolto Syene and beyond to the frontiers of Ethiopia.	10 por eso, aquí estoy yo contra ti y contra tus Nilos. Convertiré el país de Egipto en ruinas, devastación y desolación, desde Migdol hasta Siene y hasta la frontera de Etiopía.
11 No human foot wil pass through it, no animal foot will pass through it. For forty years it wil remainuninhabited.	11 No pasará por él pie de hombre, pie de animal no pasará por él. Quedará deshabitado durante cuarenta años.
12 I shal make Egypt the most desolate of countries; for forty years its cities wil be the most desolate ofwasted cities. And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the countries.	12 Yo haré del país de Egipto una desolación en medio de países desolados; sus ciudades serán una desolación entre ciudades en ruinas, durante cuarenta años. Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por los países.
13 The Lord Yahweh, however, says this: After forty years have passed, I shal gather the Egyptiansback from the nations where they were dispersed.	13 Porque así dice el Señor Yahveh: Al cabo de cuarenta años, reuniré a los habitantes de Egipto de entre los pueblos en los que habían sido dispersados.
14 I shal bring the Egyptian captives back and re-instal them in the land of Pathros, in the country oftheir origin. There they wil constitute a modest kingdom.	14 Recogeré a los cautivos egipcios y los haré volver al país de Patrós, su país de origen. Allí formarán un reino modesto.
15 Egypt wil be the most modest of kingdoms and no longer dominate other nations; for I shal reduce it,so that it will not rule other nations ever again.	15 Egipto será el más modesto de los reinos y no se alzará más sobre las naciones; le haré pequeño para que no vuelva a imponerse a las naciones.
16 It wil no longer be anything for the House of Israel to trust in, but wil be a reminder of the guilt whichlay in turning to it for help. And they will know that I am Lord Yahweh." '	16 No volverá a ser para la casa de Israel apoyo de su confianza, que provoque el delito de irse en pos de él. Y se sabrá que yo soy el Señor Yahveh.
17 In the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed tome as fol ows:	17 El año veintisiete, el día uno del primer mes, la palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
18 'Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken his army in a great expedition against Tyre.Their heads have al gone bald, their shoulders are al chafed, but even so he has derived no profit, either forhimself or for his army, from the expedition mounted against Tyre.	18 Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, ha emprendido con su ejército grandes movimientos contra Tiro. Todas las cabezas han quedado peladas y todas las espaldas llagadas, pero no ha obtenido de Tiro, ni para sí ni para su ejército, ningún provecho de la empresa acometida contra ella.
19 Since this is so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I shall hand Egypt over to Nebuchadnezzar kingof Babylon. He wil carry off its riches, loot it, put it to the sack; that wil be the wages for his army.	19 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo entrego a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, el país de Egipto. El saqueará sus riquezas, se apoderará de sus despojos y se llevará su botín, que será la paga de su ejército.
20 As wages for the trouble he has taken, I am giving him Egypt instead (for they have been working forme)-declares the Lord Yahweh.	20 En compensación de su esfuerzo contra Tiro, yo le entrego el país de Egipto, porque han trabajado para mí, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.
21 "That day, I shall raise up a new stock for the House of Israel and al ow you to open your mouthamong them. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	21 Aquel día yo haré brotar un cuerno a la casa de Israel, y a ti te permitiré abrir la boca en medio de ellos. Y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh.
