Ezekiel 29

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 In the tenth year, on the twelfth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 El décimo año, el día doce del décimo mes, la palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against the whole ofEgypt.	2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro contra el Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.
3 Speak and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt- the greatcrocodile wal owing in his Niles who thought: My Nile is mine, I made it.	3 Habla y di: Así habla el Señor: Aquí estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, enorme dragón recostado en el cauce de sus Nilos, que dices: «El Nilo me pertenece, yo mismo me lo hice».
4 I shal put hooks through your jaws, make your Nile fish stick to your scales, and pul you out of yourNiles with al your Nile fish sticking to your scales.	4 Yo te pondré garfios en las mandíbulas, pegaré a tus escamas los peces de tus Nilos y te sacaré fuera de sus corrientes, con todos los peces de tus Nilos pegados a tus escamas.
5 I shal drop you in the desert, with al your Nile fish. You will fal in the wilds and not be taken up orburied. I shall give you as food to the wild animals and the birds of heaven,	5 Te arrojaré en el desierto, a ti y a todos los peces de tus Nilos; quedarás tendido en pleno campo y no serás recogido ni enterrado. Te daré como pasto a las bestias de la tierra y a los pájaros del cielo.
6 and all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, for they have given no more support thana reed to the House of Israel.	6 Entonces todos los habitantes de Egipto sabrán que yo soy el Señor. Porque tú has sido un apoyo de caña para la casa de Israel:
7 Wherever they grasped you, you broke in their hands and cut their hands al over. Whenever theyleaned on you, you broke, making al their limbs give way.	7 apenas te agarraban, te partías y les desgarrabas toda la mano; cuando se apoyaban en ti, te quebrabas y hacías vacilar todos sus miembros.
8 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shal send the sword against you to denude you of human andanimal.	8 Por eso, así habla el Señor: Yo traigo contra ti una espada, y extirparé de ti a hombres y animales.
9 Egypt wil become a desolate waste, and they wil know that I am Yahweh. Because he thought: TheNile is mine, I made it,	9 La tierra de Egipto será una desolación y una ruina, y ellos sabrán que yo soy el Señor. Por haber dicho: «El Nilo me pertenece, yo mismo me lo hice»,
10 very well, I am against you and your Niles. I shal make Egypt a waste and a desolation, from Migdolto Syene and beyond to the frontiers of Ethiopia.	10 por eso, aquí estoy contra ti y contra tus Nilos. Dejaré a la tierra de Egipto desolado y en ruinas, desde Migdol hasta Siene, y hasta la frontera de Cus.
11 No human foot wil pass through it, no animal foot will pass through it. For forty years it wil remainuninhabited.	11 Ningún pie humano transitará por ella, ningún pie de animal la cruzará, y estará deshabitada durante cuarenta años.
12 I shal make Egypt the most desolate of countries; for forty years its cities wil be the most desolate ofwasted cities. And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the countries.	12 Yo haré de la tierra de Egipto la más desolada entre las tierras desoladas, y sus ciudades serán una desolación entre las ciudades en ruinas, durante cuarenta años. Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los diseminaré por los países.
13 The Lord Yahweh, however, says this: After forty years have passed, I shal gather the Egyptiansback from the nations where they were dispersed.	13 Porque así habla el Señor: Al cabo de cuarenta años, reuniré a los egipcios de entre los pueblos en los que habían sido dispersados.
14 I shal bring the Egyptian captives back and re-instal them in the land of Pathros, in the country oftheir origin. There they wil constitute a modest kingdom.	14 Cambiaré la suerte de Egipto y los haré volver a la tierra de Patrós, su país de origen. Allí serán un reino humilde,
15 Egypt wil be the most modest of kingdoms and no longer dominate other nations; for I shal reduce it,so that it will not rule other nations ever again.	15 el más humilde de los reinos, y Egipto ya no se levantará por encima de las naciones. Yo mismo lo haré pequeño, para que no pueda dominar a las naciones.
16 It wil no longer be anything for the House of Israel to trust in, but wil be a reminder of the guilt whichlay in turning to it for help. And they will know that I am Lord Yahweh." '	16 Ya no ofrecerá una falsa seguridad a la casa de Israel, ni hará que se le recuerde un delito, por haber ido detrás de él. Así se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.
17 In the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed tome as fol ows:	17 El año vigesimoséptimo, el día primero del primer mes, la palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
18 'Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken his army in a great expedition against Tyre.Their heads have al gone bald, their shoulders are al chafed, but even so he has derived no profit, either forhimself or for his army, from the expedition mounted against Tyre.	18 Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, ha exigido de su ejército un gran esfuerzo contra Tiro. Todas las cabezas han quedado rapadas y todas las espaldas llagadas, pero él no ha logrado de Tiro, ni para sí ni para su ejército, ninguna recompensa por el esfuerzo realizado.
19 Since this is so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I shall hand Egypt over to Nebuchadnezzar kingof Babylon. He wil carry off its riches, loot it, put it to the sack; that wil be the wages for his army.	19 Por eso, así habla el Señor: Voy a entregar la tierra de Egipto al rey de Babilonia. El se llevará sus riquezas, saqueará sus despojos y se apoderará del botín, que servirá de recompensa para su ejército.
20 As wages for the trouble he has taken, I am giving him Egypt instead (for they have been working forme)-declares the Lord Yahweh.	20 En retribución por el esfuerzo realizado contra Tiro, yo le entrego la tierra de Egipto, porque ellos trabajaron para mí –oráculo del Señor–.
21 "That day, I shall raise up a new stock for the House of Israel and al ow you to open your mouthamong them. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	21 Aquel día, yo acrecentaré la fuerza de la casa de Israel, y haré que tú puedas hablar libremente en medio de ellos. Así sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
