1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La parola di Jahvè mi fu rivolta:
2 'Son of man, you are living among a tribe of rebels who have eyes and never see, they have ears andnever hear, because they are a tribe of rebels.	2 «Figlio dell’uomo, tu abiti in mezzo a una casa ribelle, che ha occhi per vedere e non vede orecchi per sentire e non ascolta, perché è una casa ribelle.
3 So, son of man, pack an exile's bundle and set off for exile by daylight while they watch. You will leaveyour home and go somewhere else while they watch. Then perhaps they will see that they are a tribe of rebels.	3 Tu dunque figlio dell’uomo, prepara il tuo bagaglio per la deportazione, di giorno, sotto i loro occhi, ed emigra dal luogo dove stai verso un altro luogo, alla loro presenza. Forse apriranno gli occhi, perché sono casa ribelle,
4 You will pack your baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight, while they watch, and leave like an exilein the evening, while they watch.	4 Porterai fuori, di giorno, il tuo bagaglio, bagaglio da deportato, sotto i loro occhi; quindi, a sera, sotto i loro occhi, uscirai come partono i deportati.

7 I did as I had been told. I packed my baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight; and in the evening Imade a hole through the wall with my hands; then I went out into the dark and shouldered my pack while theywatched.	7 Feci dunque come mi era stato comandato: portai fuori di giorno il mio bagaglio da deportato; a sera perforai il muro è nell’oscurità della notte posi sulle spalle il mio bagaglio sotto i loro occhi.
8 Next morning the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	8 Al mattino mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
9 'Son of man, did not the House of Israel, did not that tribe of rebels, ask you, "What are you doing?"	9 «Figlio dell’uomo, la casa di Israele, casa ribelle, ti ha certo domandato: “Che cosa fai?”.
10 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: This prophecy concerns Jerusalem and the whole House of Israelwho live there."	10 Rispondi loro: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Questo oracolo è per il principe e per tutta la casa di Israele che abitano a Gerusalemme”.
11 Say, "I am an omen for you; as I have done, so wil be done to them; they will be deported into exile.	11 Di’: “Io sono un simbolo per voi: come ho fatto io, così avverrà a quelli: andranno deportati, in prigionia.
12 Their prince wil shoulder his pack in the dark and go out through the wal ; a hole will be made to lethim out; he wil cover his face, so that he cannot see the country.	12 Il principe che è in mezzo a loro porterà roba sulle spalle, uscirà nell’oscurità della notte; praticheranno un foro nel muro onde permettergli l’uscita; si coprirà il volto, perché egli non vedrà più con gli occhi il paese.
13 I shal throw my net over him and catch him in my mesh; I shall take him to Babylon, to the land ofthe Chaldaeans, though he wil not see it; and there he wil die.	13 Contro di lui tenderò la mia rete, rimarrà preso nel mio tramaglio, quindi lo condurrò a Babilonia, nella terra dei Caldei, senza che egli possa vederla e laggiù morirà.
14 And al those in attendance on him, his army and al his troops, I shal scatter to al the winds andunsheathe the sword behind them.	14 Inoltre disperderò a tutti i venti quanti lo circondano, i suoi difensori e le sue schiere, snudando dietro di essi la mia spada.
15 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh, when I scatter them throughout the nations and disperse themin foreign countries.	15 Sapranno allora che io sono Jahvè quando li avrò dispersi tra le genti e li avrò sparpagliati per le regioni.
16 But I shall let a few of them escape the sword, famine and plague, to describe al their loathsomepractices to the peoples among whom they wil go, so that these too may know that I am Yahweh." '	16 Tuttavia di essi lascerò sopravvivere alcuni alla spada, alla fame e alla peste, perché raccontino, tra le genti dove giungeranno, tutti i loro abomini. Sapranno che io sono Jahvè”»,
17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	17 La parola di Jahvè mi fu rivolta:
18 'Son of man, you are to tremble as you eat your food and shudder apprehensively as you drink yourwater,	18 «Figlio dell’uomo, mangia il tuo pane nella trepidazione e bevi la tua acqua nel timore e nell’angoscia.
19 and you are to say to the people of the country, "The Lord Yahweh says this to the inhabitants ofJerusalem. They wil shudder apprehensively as they eat their food, and drink their water in fear, so that thecountry and its population may be freed from the violence of its inhabitants.	19 Riferirai al popolo della terra: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè agli abitanti di Gerusalemme, al paese di Israele: Mangeranno nell’angoscia il loro pane e nel terrore berranno la loro acqua, perché il loro paese, spogliato dei suoi beni, sarà devastato a causa delle violenze di tutti i suoi abitanti.
20 When the populous cities have been destroyed and the country has been reduced to desert, then youwil know that I am Yahweh." '	20 Le città abitate diventeranno deserte e il paese rimarrà desolato. Saprete che io sono Jahvè”».
21 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	21 Quindi mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
22 'Son of man, what do you understand by the saying pronounced over the land of Israel, "Days go byand visions fade"?	22 «Figlio dell’uomo, che cosa è questo proverbio in voga tra di voi circa la terra di Israele: “Si prolunga il tempo e ogni profezia svanisce”?
23 'Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal put an end to this saying; it will never beused in Israel again." Instead, tel them: "The days are coming when every vision wil come true,	23 Perciò parla loro: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Farò cessare questo proverbio e non lo ripeteranno più in Israele. Anzi, di loro: Si è avvicinato il tempo e il compimento di ogni profezia.
24 for there will be no more futile visions or deceptive prophecy in the House of Israel,	24 Nella casa di Israele non si avrà più, infatti, alcuna visione mendace e divinazione seduttrice,
25 since I, Yahweh, shal speak. And what I shal say wil come true without delay; for what I shall say, Ishall perform in your own lifetime, you tribe of rebels -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	25 poiché io, Jahvè, parlerò e ormai compirò senza indugio quanto avrò detto; e proprio nei vostri giorni, o casa ribelle, pronuncerò una sentenza e la compirò”’ — oracolo del Signore Jahvè».
26 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	26 Quindi mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
27 'Son of man, the House of Israel is now saying, "The vision that this man sees concerns the distantfuture; he is prophesying for times far ahead."	27 «Figlio dell’uomo, ecco ciò che va dicendo la gente di Israele: “La visione che costui riceve riguarda uno spazio di tempo molto lontano, egli predice per epoche ben lontane”.
28 Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: There wil be no further delay in the fulfil ing of anyof my words. What I have said shal be done now -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	28 Perciò parla loro: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Nessuna delle mie parole sarà differita. Attuerò quanto dirò” — oracolo del Signore Jahvè».
