Ezekiel 12

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, you are living among a tribe of rebels who have eyes and never see, they have ears andnever hear, because they are a tribe of rebels.	2 «Figlio dell’uomo, tu abiti in mezzo a una genìa di ribelli, che hanno occhi per vedere e non vedono, hanno orecchi per udire e non odono, perché sono una genìa di ribelli.
3 So, son of man, pack an exile's bundle and set off for exile by daylight while they watch. You will leaveyour home and go somewhere else while they watch. Then perhaps they will see that they are a tribe of rebels.	3 Tu, figlio dell’uomo, fatti un bagaglio da esule e di giorno, davanti ai loro occhi, prepàrati a emigrare; davanti ai loro occhi emigrerai dal luogo dove stai verso un altro luogo. Forse comprenderanno che sono una genìa di ribelli.
4 You will pack your baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight, while they watch, and leave like an exilein the evening, while they watch.	4 Davanti ai loro occhi prepara di giorno il tuo bagaglio, come fosse il bagaglio di un esule. Davanti a loro uscirai però al tramonto, come partono gli esiliati.
5 While they watch, make a hole in the wal , and go out through it.	5 Fa’ alla loro presenza un’apertura nel muro ed esci di lì.
6 While they watch, you wil shoulder your pack and go out into the dark; you wil cover your face so thatyou cannot see the ground, since I have made you an omen for the House of Israel.'	6 Alla loro presenza mettiti il bagaglio sulle spalle ed esci nell’oscurità. Ti coprirai la faccia, in modo da non vedere il paese, perché io ho fatto di te un simbolo per gli Israeliti».
7 I did as I had been told. I packed my baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight; and in the evening Imade a hole through the wall with my hands; then I went out into the dark and shouldered my pack while theywatched.	7 Io feci come mi era stato comandato: preparai di giorno il mio bagaglio come quello di un esule e, sul tramonto, feci un foro nel muro con le mani. Uscii nell’oscurità e sotto i loro occhi mi misi il bagaglio sulle spalle.
8 Next morning the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	8 Al mattino mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
9 'Son of man, did not the House of Israel, did not that tribe of rebels, ask you, "What are you doing?"	9 «Figlio dell’uomo, non ti ha chiesto la casa d’Israele, quella genìa di ribelli, che cosa stai facendo?
10 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: This prophecy concerns Jerusalem and the whole House of Israelwho live there."	10 Rispondi loro: Così dice il Signore Dio: Questo messaggio è per il principe di Gerusalemme e per tutta la casa d’Israele che vi abita.
11 Say, "I am an omen for you; as I have done, so wil be done to them; they will be deported into exile.	11 Tu dirai: Io sono un simbolo per voi. Quello che ho fatto io, sarà fatto a loro; saranno deportati e andranno in schiavitù.
12 Their prince wil shoulder his pack in the dark and go out through the wal ; a hole will be made to lethim out; he wil cover his face, so that he cannot see the country.	12 Il principe che è in mezzo a loro si caricherà il bagaglio sulle spalle, nell’oscurità, e uscirà per la breccia che verrà fatta nel muro per farlo partire; si coprirà il viso, per non vedere con gli occhi il paese.
13 I shal throw my net over him and catch him in my mesh; I shall take him to Babylon, to the land ofthe Chaldaeans, though he wil not see it; and there he wil die.	13 Stenderò su di lui la mia rete e rimarrà preso nel mio laccio: lo condurrò nella terra dei Caldei, a Babilonia, ma non la vedrà e là morirà.
14 And al those in attendance on him, his army and al his troops, I shal scatter to al the winds andunsheathe the sword behind them.	14 Disperderò ai quattro venti quanti sono intorno a lui, le sue guardie e tutte le sue truppe; snuderò contro di loro la spada.
15 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh, when I scatter them throughout the nations and disperse themin foreign countries.	15 Quando li avrò dispersi fra le nazioni e li avrò disseminati in paesi stranieri, allora sapranno che io sono il Signore.
16 But I shall let a few of them escape the sword, famine and plague, to describe al their loathsomepractices to the peoples among whom they wil go, so that these too may know that I am Yahweh." '	16 Tuttavia ne risparmierò alcuni, scampati alla spada, alla fame e alla peste, perché raccontino tutti i loro abomini alle nazioni fra le quali andranno; allora sapranno che io sono il Signore».
17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	17 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
18 'Son of man, you are to tremble as you eat your food and shudder apprehensively as you drink yourwater,	18 «Figlio dell’uomo, mangia il pane con paura e bevi l’acqua con trepidazione e con angoscia.
19 and you are to say to the people of the country, "The Lord Yahweh says this to the inhabitants ofJerusalem. They wil shudder apprehensively as they eat their food, and drink their water in fear, so that thecountry and its population may be freed from the violence of its inhabitants.	19 Dirai alla popolazione del paese: Così dice il Signore Dio agli abitanti di Gerusalemme, alla terra d’Israele: Mangeranno il loro pane nell’angoscia e berranno la loro acqua nella desolazione, perché la loro terra sarà spogliata della sua abbondanza, a causa dell’empietà di tutti i suoi abitanti.
20 When the populous cities have been destroyed and the country has been reduced to desert, then youwil know that I am Yahweh." '	20 Le città popolose saranno distrutte e la campagna ridotta a un deserto; saprete allora che io sono il Signore».
21 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	21 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
22 'Son of man, what do you understand by the saying pronounced over the land of Israel, "Days go byand visions fade"?	22 «Figlio dell’uomo, che cos’è questo proverbio che si va ripetendo nella terra d’Israele: “Passano i giorni e ogni visione svanisce”?
23 'Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal put an end to this saying; it will never beused in Israel again." Instead, tel them: "The days are coming when every vision wil come true,	23 Ebbene, riferisci loro: Così dice il Signore Dio: Farò cessare questo proverbio e non lo si sentirà più ripetere in Israele. Anzi riferisci loro: Si avvicinano i giorni in cui si avvererà ogni visione.
24 for there will be no more futile visions or deceptive prophecy in the House of Israel,	24 Infatti non ci sarà più visione falsa né vaticinio fallace in mezzo alla casa d’Israele,
25 since I, Yahweh, shal speak. And what I shal say wil come true without delay; for what I shall say, Ishall perform in your own lifetime, you tribe of rebels -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	25 perché io, il Signore, parlerò e attuerò la parola che ho detto; non sarà ritardata. Anzi, ai vostri giorni, o genìa di ribelli, pronuncerò una parola e l’attuerò». Oracolo del Signore Dio.
26 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	26 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
27 'Son of man, the House of Israel is now saying, "The vision that this man sees concerns the distantfuture; he is prophesying for times far ahead."	27 «Figlio dell’uomo, ecco, la casa d’Israele va dicendo: “La visione che costui vede è per i giorni futuri; costui predice per i tempi lontani”.
28 Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: There wil be no further delay in the fulfil ing of anyof my words. What I have said shal be done now -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	28 Ebbene, riferisci loro: Dice il Signore Dio: Non sarà ritardata più a lungo ogni mia parola: la parola che dirò, l’eseguirò». Oracolo del Signore Dio.
