Jeremiah 45

1 The word that the prophet Jeremiah addressed to Baruch son of Neriah when the latter wrote thesewords down in a book at Jeremiah's dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah,	1 Parola detta da Geremia profeta a Baruc figlio di Neria, quando questi ebbe scritte queste parole nel volume sotto la dettatura di Geremia, l'anno quarto di Ioachim, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda, in questi termini:
2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch!	2 « Queste cose dice il Signore, il Dio d'Israele, a te, o Baruc.
3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!"	3 Tu hai detto: « Oh! me infelice! Perchè il Signore ha aggiunto dolore al mio dolore, mi sono affannato a gemere e non ho trovato sollievo ».
4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country!	4 Così parla il Signore: Gli dirai: Ecco io distruggo ciò che avevo edificato, e sradico ciò che avevo piantato e tutta questa terra.
5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." '	5 E tu cerchi per te grandi cose? Non le cercare, perchè ecco io manderò sventure sopra tutti i mortali — dice il Signore — ma a te io salverò la vita in tutti i luoghi, dovunque andrai ».
