Jeremiah 45

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word that the prophet Jeremiah addressed to Baruch son of Neriah when the latter wrote thesewords down in a book at Jeremiah's dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah,	1 Questa è la parola che il profeta Geremia rivolse a Baruc, figlio di Neria, quando scriveva queste parole nel libro, per ordine di Geremia, nell'anno quarto di Ioiakìm, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda:
2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch!	2 "Così dice il Signore, Dio di Israele, a tuo riguardo, o Baruc:
3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!"	3 Tu dici: "Ohimè, perché il Signore aggiunge affanno al mio dolore? Io sono tormentato nei miei gemiti e non trovo riposo".
4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country!	4 Così dirai a lui: Così dice il Signore: Ecco, ciò che io avevo edificato io lo distruggo e ciò che avevo piantato io lo sradico, cioè tutto il paese.
5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." '	5 Ma tu reclami per te cose grandiose. Non reclamare, perché ecco: io sto per far piombare la sventura su ogni uomo, oracolo del Signore; ma a te ho dato la tua vita come bottino in ogni luogo dovunque tu andrai".
