Jeremiah 45

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 The word that the prophet Jeremiah addressed to Baruch son of Neriah when the latter wrote thesewords down in a book at Jeremiah's dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah,	1 הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יִרְמְיָהוּ הַנָּבִיא אֶל־בָּרוּךְ בֶּן־נֵרִיָּה בְּכָתְבֹו אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה עַל־סֵפֶר מִפִּי יִרְמְיָהוּ בַּשָּׁנָה הָרְבִעִית לִיהֹויָקִים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה לֵאמֹר׃ ס
2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch!	2 כֹּה־אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עָלֶיךָ בָּרוּךְ
3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!"	3 אָמַרְתָּ אֹוי־נָא לִי כִּי־יָסַף יְהוָה יָגֹון עַל־מַכְאֹבִי יָגַעְתִּי בְּאַנְחָתִי וּמְנוּחָה לֹא מָצָאתִי׃ ס
4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country!	4 כֹּה ׀ תֹּאמַר אֵלָיו כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה הִנֵּה אֲשֶׁר־בָּנִיתִי אֲנִי הֹרֵס וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר־נָטַעְתִּי אֲנִי נֹתֵשׁ וְאֶת־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ הִיא
5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." '	5 וְאַתָּה תְּבַקֶּשׁ־לְךָ גְדֹלֹות אַל־תְּבַקֵּשׁ כִּי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא רָעָה עַל־כָּל־בָּשָׂר נְאֻם־יְהוָה וְנָתַתִּי לְךָ אֶת־נַפְשְׁךָ לְשָׁלָל עַל כָּל־הַמְּקֹמֹות אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֶךְ־שָׁם׃ ס
