Jeremiah 45

1 The word that the prophet Jeremiah addressed to Baruch son of Neriah when the latter wrote thesewords down in a book at Jeremiah's dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah,	1 En la quatrième année de Joïaqim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, Baruch fils de Nériya, écrivait ces paroles dans un livre, sous la dictée de Jérémie. Voici ce que le prophète Jérémie dit alors à Baruch:
2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch!	2 “Écoute une parole de Yahvé Dieu d’Israël à ton sujet, Baruch:
3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!"	3 Tu dis: Que je suis malheureux! Yahvé m’envoie épreuve sur épreuve, je suis épuisé à force de gémir; je ne connais aucun repos!
4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country!	4 Eh bien, Yahvé te fait dire: Tu vois que je démolis ce que j’ai construit et je déracine ce que j’ai planté, et c’est le pays tout entier.
5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." '	5 Et tu voudrais pour toi de grandes choses? Ne cherche donc pas. Je fais venir le malheur sur tout le monde - parole de Yahvé, mais à toi, je t’assure au moins la vie sauve dans tous les lieux où tu iras.”
