Jeremiah 24

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Yahweh gave me a vision: set out in front of the Temple of Yahweh were two baskets of figs. This wasafter Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had led Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, away into exile fromJerusalem, with the chief men of Judah, the blacksmiths and metalworkers, and had taken them to Babylon.	1 - Il Signore mi presentò una visione, ed ecco due canestri di fichi posati davanti al tempio del Signore: dopo che Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia aveva deportato da Gerusalemme Jeconia, figlio di Joachim re di Giuda, e i suoi principi e i mastri, e gli artefici e li aveva condotti in Babilonia.
2 One basket contained excellent figs, like those that ripen first; the other contained very bad figs, so badthey were uneatable.	2 Uno dei canestri aveva fichi molto ben conservati, come sogliono essere i fichi primaticci; e l'altro paniere aveva fichi molto malandati che non si potevano più mangiare, perchè erano andati a male.
3 Yahweh said to me, 'What do you see, Jeremiah?' 'Figs,' I answered, 'the good ones excel ent, the badones very bad, so bad as to be uneatable.'	3 E il Signore mi disse: «Che cosa vedi, Geremia?». E dissi: «Dei fichi, fichi molto ben conservati e fichi molto malandati che non si potranno più mangiare perchè sono andati a male».
4 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me,	4 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
5 'Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this, "As these figs are good, so I mean to concern myself with thewelfare of the exiles of Judah whom I have sent from this place to the country of the Chaldaeans.	5 «Così dice il Signore, Dio d'Israele: - Come questi fichi ben conservati, così intendo di conservare bene gli esiliati di Giuda che ho mandati via da questo luogo nella terra dei Caldei.
6 My eyes will watch over them for their good, to bring them back to this country, to build them up andnot to break them down, to plant them and not to uproot them.	6 E porrò sopra di essi il mio placabile sguardo e li ricondurrò su questa terra e li ricostituirò e non li distruggerò, li ripianterò e non li estirperò.
7 I shal give them a heart to acknowledge that I am Yahweh. They wil be my people and I shal be theirGod, for they will return to me with all their heart.	7 E darò loro un cuore per conoscermi, perchè io sono il Signore: essi saranno il mio popolo ed io sarò il loro Dio perchè ritorneranno a me con tutto il loro cuore.
8 As for the bad figs, the figs so bad as to be uneatable-yes, Yahweh says this -- that is how I shal treatZedekiah king of Judah, his chief men and what is left of Jerusalem, those who remain in this country and thoseliving in Egypt.	8 E come si fa dei fichi malandati che non si possono più mangiare perchè sono andati a male, così, dice il Signore, farò di Sedecia re di Giuda e dei suoi principi e degli altri di Gerusalemme che sono rimasti in città o che sono andati a dimorare in Egitto.
9 I shal make them an object of horror, a disaster, to all the kingdoms of the earth, a thing of shame, abyword, a laughing-stock, a curse, wherever I shal drive them.	9 E li darò in preda alle vessazioni e all'afflizione in tutti i regni della terra, al vituperio, al motteggio, alla canzonatura, e all'esecrazione in tutti i luoghi dov'io li avrò cacciati.
10 Sword, famine and plague I shall send against them until they have vanished from the soil I gave tothem and to their ancestors." '	10 E manderò in mezzo ad essi la spada, la fame, e la peste, finchè siano sterminati dalla terra che ho data a loro e ai loro padri -».
