Jeremiah 23

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 'Disaster for the shepherds who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, Yahweh declares.	1 - Guai ai pastori che disperdono e sbrancano il gregge del mio pascolo, dice il Signore!
2 This, therefore, is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the shepherds who shepherd my people,"You have scattered my flock, you have driven them away and have not taken care of them. Right, I shal takecare of you for your misdeeds, Yahweh declares!	2 Perciò, così dice il Signore Dio d'Israele, ai pastori che pascolano il mio popolo: Voi avete disperso le pecore del mio gregge, le avete sbandate e non le avete visitate: ebbene, visiterò io voi per la malvagità delle vostre azioni, dice il Signore.
3 But the remnant of my flock I myself shal gather from all the countries where I have driven them, andbring them back to their folds; they will be fruitful and increase in numbers.	3 E io raccoglierò gli avanzi del gregge mio da tutte le regioni là dove li avrò sbandati e li ricondurrò alle loro ville e cresceranno e si moltiplicheranno.
4 For them I shall raise up shepherds to shepherd them and pasture them. No fear, no terror for themany more; not one shal be lost, Yahweh declares!	4 E farò sorgere ad essi dei pastori e li pasceranno e non staranno più in timore nè in paura, e nessuno mancherà del loro numero, dice il Signore.
5 Look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal raise an upright Branch for David; he willreign as king and be wise, doing what is just and upright in the country.	5 Ecco che vengono i giorni, dice il Signore, ed io susciterò a David un rampollo giusto, un re che regnerà e sarà sapiente e farà valere il diritto e la giustizia sulla terra.
6 In his days Judah wil triumph and Israel live in safety. And this is the name he wil be called, 'Yahweh-is-our-Saving-Justice.' "	6 In quei giorni Giuda sarà salvato e Israele dimorerà sicuro, e questo è il nome col quale sarà chiamato: Il giusto nostro è il Signore.
7 'So, look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when people wil no longer say, "As Yahweh liveswho brought the Israelites out of Egypt,"	7 Per questo, ecco che vengono i giorni, dice il Signore, e non diranno più: Vive il Signore che trasse i figli di Israele dalla terra d'Egitto!
8 but, "As Yahweh lives who led back and brought home the offspring of the House of Israel from theland of the north and all the countries to which he had driven them, to live on their own soil." '	8 ma: Vive il Signore che trasse e ricondusse la progenie della casa di Israele dalla terra del settentrione e da tutte le contrade là dove li aveva cacciati e abiteranno la loro terra!" -
9 On the prophets. My heart is broken within me, I tremble in al my bones; I am like a drunken man, likea man overcome with wine, because of Yahweh and his holy words:	9 Ai profeti: - Mi sono sentito schiantare dentro il cuore, fremere tutte l'ossa, sono come ebbro, come un uomo ripieno di vino, davanti al Signore e davanti alle sue parole sante.
10 'For the country is ful of adulterers; yes, because of a curse, the country is in mourning and thepasturage in the desert has dried up; they are prompt to do wrong, make no effort to do right.	10 Perchè la terra è piena di adulteri, perchè davanti alla maledizione la terra è afflitta, sono arsi i pascoli del deserto; la loro corsa è malvagia e la loro bravura è sviata.
11 Yes, even prophet and priest are godless, I have detected their wickedness in my own House,Yahweh declares.	11 Perchè il profeta e il sacerdote si sono contaminati, e nella mia casa stessa ho trovato le loro infamie, dice il Signore.
12 Because of this, their way wil prove treacherous going for them; in the darkness where they aredriven, there they wil fall. For I shal bring disaster on them, when the year for punishing them comes, Yahwehdeclares.	12 Perciò il loro procedere sarà come sopra un lubrico sentiero nel buio: riceveranno una spinta e stramazzeranno, perchè farò venire sopra di loro il male, l'anno della visitazione, dice il Signore.
13 'In the prophets of Samaria I have seen insanity: they prophesied in the name of Baal and led mypeople Israel astray.	13 Già nei profeti di Samaria aveva visto la dissennatezza, profetavano in nome di Baal e ingannavano il mio popolo d'Israele.
14 But in the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: adultery, persistent lying, suchabetting of the wicked that no one renounces his wickedness. To me they are al like Sodom and its inhabitantsare like Gomorrah.	14 Nei profeti di Gerusalemme ho visto le nefandezze stesse degli adulteri e la strada della menzogna; hanno avvalorato la mano dei peggiori, sì che alcuno non si converta dalla sua malvagità; tutti sono diventati per me come Sodoma e come Gomorra sono i suoi abitanti.-
15 So this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about the prophets, "Now I shal give them wormwood to eatand make them drink poisoned water, since from the prophets of Jerusalem godlessness has spread throughoutthe land."	15 Perciò così dice il Signore degli eserciti ai profeti: - Ecco ch'io vi pascerò d'assenzio e vi abbevererò di fiele, perchè dai profeti di Gerusalemme è partito il contagio per tutta la terra.-
16 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Do not listen to what those prophets prophesy to you; they are deludingyou, they retail visions of their own, and not what comes from Yahweh's mouth.	16 Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: - Non date ascolto alle parole dei profeti che profeteggiano e vi ingannano: vi raccontano la visione dettata dal loro cuore, non dalla bocca del Signore.
17 To those who despise me, they keep saying: Yahweh has spoken: you wil have peace! and to al whofol ow their own stubborn inclinations: No disaster wil touch you."	17 A quelli che vilipendono me dicono: " Il Signore ha parlato, avrete la pace". E a quanti perseverano nel pervertimento del loro cuore hanno detto: "Male alcuno non verrà sopra di noi".
18 But who has been present in Yahweh's council and seen, and heard his word? Who has paidattention to his word and listened to it?	18 Ma chi ha assistito al consiglio del Signore e lo vide e udì il suo parlare? Chi considerò la sua parola e l'ascoltò?
19 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a fearsome hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;	19 Ecco il turbine dell'indignazione del Signore sale e una tempesta si scatena e verrà sopra il capo degli empi.
20 Yahweh's anger wil not withdraw until he has performed, has carried out, what he has in mind. In thefinal days, you wil understand this clearly,	20 Il Signore non si rimetterà dall'ira sua fin a tanto che non abbia operato, fin a tanto che non abbia compiuto i disegni del suo cuore: nella fine dei giorni il disegno di lui comprenderete.
21 'I did not send these prophets, yet they ran! I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied!	21 I profeti non li mandavo io, ed essi correvano; non parlavo loro, ed essi profetavano.
22 Had they been present in my council, they could have proclaimed my words to my people and turnedthem from their evil way and from the wickedness of their deeds!	22 Se fossero stati presenti al mio consiglio e avessero riferito al mio popolo parole mie, li avrei certamente convertiti dalla loro mala via e dai loro pessimi pensieri.
23 'Am I a God when near, Yahweh demands, and not a God when far away?	23 È forse da credere, ch'io sia Dio da vicino, dice il Signore, e ch'io non sia più Dio da lontano?
24 Can anyone hide somewhere secret without my seeing him? Yahweh demands. Do I not fil heavenand earth? Yahweh demands.	24 Se l'uomo si rappiatta nei nascondigli, io forse non lo vedrò più, dice il Signore? E non riempio io forse il cielo e la terra, dice il Signore?
25 'I have heard what the prophets say who make their lying prophecies in my name. "I have had adream," they say, "I have had a dream!"	25 Ho ben udito io ciò che dissero i profeti che a nome mio vanno profetando la menzogna e dicendo: "Io ho sognato, io ho sognato!".
26 How long are there to be those among the prophets who prophesy lies and are in fact prophets oftheir own delusions?	26 E fino a quando vi sarà cotesto nel cuore dei profeti vaticinanti il falso e profetanti le allucinazioni del loro cuore,
27 They are doing their best, by means of the dreams that they keep tel ing each other, to make mypeople forget my name, just as their ancestors forgot my name in favour of Baal.	27 nell'intento di far sì che il mio popolo, dietro i loro sogni che si raccontano l'un l'altro a vicenda, dimentichi il mio nome come i loro padri si dimenticarono di me dietro a Baal?
28 Let the prophet who has had a dream tel it for a dream! And let him who receives a word from me,deliver my word accurately! 'What have straw and wheat in common? Yahweh demands.	28 Il profeta che ha un sogno racconti un sogno, e chi ha la mia parola riferisca la mia parola con verità; che ha da fare la paglia col grano? dice il Signore.
29 Is my word not like fire, Yahweh demands, is it not like a hammer shattering a rock?	29 E non son forse le mie parole come il fuoco, dice il Signore, e come il maglio che spacca la pietra?
30 'So, then, I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, that steal my words from one another.	30 Perciò, eccomi ai profeti, dice il Signore, che si rubano l'un l'altro le mie parole!
31 I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, who wag their tongues to utter prophecies.	31 Eccomi ai profeti, dice il Signore, che prendono ciò che vien loro sulla lingua e dicono: "È il Signore che lo dice!".
32 I have a quarrel with the prophets who make prophecies out of lying dreams, Yahweh declares, whorecount them, and lead my people astray by their lies and their bragging. I certainly never sent them orcommissioned them, and they serve no good purpose for this people, Yahweh declares.	32 Eccomi ai profeti dai sogni di menzogna, dice il Signore, che sono andati raccontandoli e hanno sedotto il mio popolo colle loro menzogne e colle loro cose meravigliose, quand'io non aveva dato loro alcuna missione nè commissione, e non hanno recato alcun vantaggio a questo popolo, dice il Signore!
33 'And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest, asks you, "What is Yahweh's burden?" you mustanswer, "You are the burden, and I shal get rid of you, Yahweh declares!"	33 Se dunque questo popolo o un profeta o un sacerdote t'interrogherà dicendo: "C'è qualche parola del Signore a carico nostro?" risponderai loro: "Voi siete un carico e mi scaricherò di voi, dice il Signore".
34 'As for the prophet, the priest, or anyone else, who says, "Yahweh's burden", I shall punish that man,and his household too.	34 E al profeta e al sacerdote e al popolo che dice: "Il carico del Signore" io chiederò conto, a lui e alla sua casa.
35 This is what you must say to one another, among yourselves, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or"What has Yahweh said?"	35 Così invece ciascuno dirà al suo compagno e al suo fratello: "Che cosa ha risposto il Signore? e che ha detto il Signore".
36 But stop using the expression "Yahweh's burden", for what each man says will be his ownresponsibility. And you twist the words of the living God, of Yahweh Sabaoth, our God.	36 Ma la parola "Carico del Signore" non sia da alcuno più menzionata, perchè un carico che grava sopra di lui, diventerà la sua propria parola, chiunque sia di voi che avete travisato il verbo di Dio vivente, del Signore degli eserciti, Dio nostro.-
37 This is the way to speak to a prophet, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or "What has Yahwehsaid?"	37 Al profeta così dirai:- Che cosa ti ha risposto il Signore? e che ti ha detto il Signore?
38 But if you say, "Yahweh's burden", then Yahweh says this, "Since you use the expression 'Yahweh'sburden', when I have warned you to stop saying, 'Yahweh's burden',	38 Ma se pronunzierete "Carico del Signore" allora, così dice il Signore: Perchè avete pronunziata questa parola: "Carico del Signore" quando io aveva mandato ad avvertirvi: non dite: "Carico del Signore",
39 believe me, I shal pick you up and fling you from my presence, you and the city I gave to you and toyour ancestors.	39 per questo io farò di voi e della città che aveva dato ai vostri padri, un carico e lo porterò e lo scaricherò lungi dalla mia faccia.
40 I shal bring down everlasting shame on you, everlasting and unforgettable disgrace." '	40 E vi darò al vituperio eterno e ad eterna ignominia che non sarà mai dall'oblio scancellata-».
