Jeremiah 23

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 'Disaster for the shepherds who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, Yahweh declares.	1 ¡Ay de los pastores que dejan perderse y desparrarmarse las ovejas de mis pastos! - oráculo de Yahveh -.
2 This, therefore, is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the shepherds who shepherd my people,"You have scattered my flock, you have driven them away and have not taken care of them. Right, I shal takecare of you for your misdeeds, Yahweh declares!	2 Pues así dice Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, tocante a los pastores que apacientan a mi pueblo: Vosotros habéis dispersado las ovejas mías, las empujasteis y no las atendisteis. Mirad que voy a pasaros revista por vuestras malas obras - oráculo de Yahveh -.
3 But the remnant of my flock I myself shal gather from all the countries where I have driven them, andbring them back to their folds; they will be fruitful and increase in numbers.	3 Yo recogeré el Resto de mis ovejas de todas las tierras a donde las empujé, las haré tornar a sus estancias, criarán y se multiplicarán.
4 For them I shall raise up shepherds to shepherd them and pasture them. No fear, no terror for themany more; not one shal be lost, Yahweh declares!	4 Y pondré al frente de ellas pastores que las apacienten, y nunca más estarán medrosas ni asustadas, ni faltará ninguna - oráculo de Yahveh -.
5 Look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal raise an upright Branch for David; he willreign as king and be wise, doing what is just and upright in the country.	5 Mirad que días vienen - oráculo de Yahveh - en que suscitaré a David un Germen justo: reinará un rey prudente, practicará el derecho y la justicia en la tierra.
6 In his days Judah wil triumph and Israel live in safety. And this is the name he wil be called, 'Yahweh-is-our-Saving-Justice.' "	6 En sus días estará a salvo Judá, e Israel vivirá en seguro. Y este es el nombre con que te llamarán: «Yahveh, justicia nuestra».
7 'So, look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when people wil no longer say, "As Yahweh liveswho brought the Israelites out of Egypt,"	7 Por tanto, mirad que vienen días - oráculo de Yahveh - en que no se dirá más: «¡Por vida de Yahveh, que subió a los hijos de Israel de Egipto!»,
8 but, "As Yahweh lives who led back and brought home the offspring of the House of Israel from theland of the north and all the countries to which he had driven them, to live on their own soil." '	8 sino: «¡Por vida de Yahveh, que subió y trajo la simiente de la casa de Israel de tierras del norte y de todas las tierras a donde los arrojara!», y habitarán en su propio suelo.
9 On the prophets. My heart is broken within me, I tremble in al my bones; I am like a drunken man, likea man overcome with wine, because of Yahweh and his holy words:	9 A los profetas. Se me partió el corazón en mis adentros, estremeciéronse todos mis huesos, me quedé como un borracho, como aquél a quien le domina el vino, por causa de Yahveh, por causa de sus santas palabras.
10 'For the country is ful of adulterers; yes, because of a curse, the country is in mourning and thepasturage in the desert has dried up; they are prompt to do wrong, make no effort to do right.	10 «Porque de fornicadores se ha henchido la tierra. (A causa de una maldición se ha enlutado la tierra, se han secado los pastos de la estepa.) Se ha vuelto la carrera de ellos mala y su esfuerzo no recto.
11 Yes, even prophet and priest are godless, I have detected their wickedness in my own House,Yahweh declares.	11 Tanto el profeta como el sacerdote se han vuelto impíos; en mi misma Casa topé con su maldad - oráculo de Yahveh -.
12 Because of this, their way wil prove treacherous going for them; in the darkness where they aredriven, there they wil fall. For I shal bring disaster on them, when the year for punishing them comes, Yahwehdeclares.	12 Por ende su camino vendrá a ser su despeñadero: a la sima serán empujados y caerán en ella. Porque voy a traer sobre ellos una calamidad, al tiempo de su visita» - oráculo de Yahveh -.
13 'In the prophets of Samaria I have seen insanity: they prophesied in the name of Baal and led mypeople Israel astray.	13 En los profetas de Samaría, he observado una inepcia: profetizaban por Baal y hacían errar a mi pueblo Israel.
14 But in the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: adultery, persistent lying, suchabetting of the wicked that no one renounces his wickedness. To me they are al like Sodom and its inhabitantsare like Gomorrah.	14 Mas en los profetas de Jerusalén he observado una monstruosidad: fornicar y proceder con falsía, dándose la mano con los malhechores, sin volverse cada cual de su malicia. Se me han vuelto todos ellos cual Sodoma, y los habitantes de la ciudad, cual Gomorra.
15 So this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about the prophets, "Now I shal give them wormwood to eatand make them drink poisoned water, since from the prophets of Jerusalem godlessness has spread throughoutthe land."	15 Por tanto, así dice Yahveh Sebaot tocante a los profetas: He aquí que les voy a dar de comer ajenjo y les voy a dar de beber agua emponzoñada. Porque a partir de los profetas de Jerusalén se ha propagado la impiedad por toda la tierra.
16 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Do not listen to what those prophets prophesy to you; they are deludingyou, they retail visions of their own, and not what comes from Yahweh's mouth.	16 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: No escuchéis las palabras de los profetas que os profetizan. Os están embaucando. Os cuentan sus propias fantasías, no cosa de boca de Yahveh.
17 To those who despise me, they keep saying: Yahweh has spoken: you wil have peace! and to al whofol ow their own stubborn inclinations: No disaster wil touch you."	17 Dicen a los que me desprecian: «Yahveh dice: ¡Paz tendréis!» y a todo el que camina en terquedad de corazón: «No os sucederá nada malo».
18 But who has been present in Yahweh's council and seen, and heard his word? Who has paidattention to his word and listened to it?	18 (Porque ¿quién asistió al consejo de Yahveh y vio y oyó su palabra?, ¿quién escuchó su palabra y la ha oído?)
19 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a fearsome hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;	19 Mirad que una tormenta de Yahveh, su ira, ha estallado, un torbellino remolinea, sobre la cabeza de los malos descarga.
20 Yahweh's anger wil not withdraw until he has performed, has carried out, what he has in mind. In thefinal days, you wil understand this clearly,	20 No ha de apaciguarse la ira de Yahveh hasta que la ejecute, y realice los designios de su corazón. En días futuros os percataréis de ello.
21 'I did not send these prophets, yet they ran! I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied!	21 Yo no envié a esos profetas, y ellos corrieron. No les hablé, y ellos profetizaron.
22 Had they been present in my council, they could have proclaimed my words to my people and turnedthem from their evil way and from the wickedness of their deeds!	22 Pues si asistieron a mi consejo, hagan oír mi palabra a mi pueblo, y háganle tornar de su mal camino y de sus acciones malas.
23 'Am I a God when near, Yahweh demands, and not a God when far away?	23 ¿Soy yo un Dios sólo de cerca - oráculo de Yahveh - y no soy Dios de lejos?
24 Can anyone hide somewhere secret without my seeing him? Yahweh demands. Do I not fil heavenand earth? Yahweh demands.	24 ¿O se esconderá alguno en escondite donde yo no le vea? - oráculo de Yahveh -. ¿Los cielos y la tierra no los lleno yo? - oráculo de Yahveh -.
25 'I have heard what the prophets say who make their lying prophecies in my name. "I have had adream," they say, "I have had a dream!"	25 Ya he oído lo que dicen esos profetas que profetizan falsamente en mi nombre diciendo: «¡He tenido un sueño, he tenido un sueño!»
26 How long are there to be those among the prophets who prophesy lies and are in fact prophets oftheir own delusions?	26 ¿Hasta cuándo va a durar esto en el corazón de los profetas que profetizan en falso y son profetas de la impostura de su corazón?,
27 They are doing their best, by means of the dreams that they keep tel ing each other, to make mypeople forget my name, just as their ancestors forgot my name in favour of Baal.	27 ¿los que piensan hacer olvidarse a mi pueblo de mi Nombre por los sueños que se cuentan cada cual a su vecino, como olvidaron sus padres mi Nombre por Baal?
28 Let the prophet who has had a dream tel it for a dream! And let him who receives a word from me,deliver my word accurately! 'What have straw and wheat in common? Yahweh demands.	28 Profeta que tenga un sueño, cuente un sueño, y el que tenga consigo mi palabra, que hable mi palabra fielmente. ¿Qué tiene que ver la paja con el grano? - oráculo de Yahveh -.
29 Is my word not like fire, Yahweh demands, is it not like a hammer shattering a rock?	29 ¿No es así mi palabra, como el fuego, y como un martillo golpea la peña?
30 'So, then, I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, that steal my words from one another.	30 Pues bien, aquí estoy yo contra los profetas - oráculo de Yahveh - que se roban mis palabras el uno al otro.
31 I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, who wag their tongues to utter prophecies.	31 Aquí estoy yo contra los profetas - oráculo de Yahveh - que usan de su lengua y emiten oráculo.
32 I have a quarrel with the prophets who make prophecies out of lying dreams, Yahweh declares, whorecount them, and lead my people astray by their lies and their bragging. I certainly never sent them orcommissioned them, and they serve no good purpose for this people, Yahweh declares.	32 Aquí estoy yo contra los profetas que profetizan falsos sueños - oráculo de Yahveh - y los cuentan, y hacen errar a mi pueblo con sus falsedades y su presunción, cuando yo ni les he enviado ni dado órdenes, y ellos de ningún provecho han sido para este pueblo - oráculo de Yahveh -.
33 'And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest, asks you, "What is Yahweh's burden?" you mustanswer, "You are the burden, and I shal get rid of you, Yahweh declares!"	33 Y cuando te pregunte este pueblo - o un profeta o un sacerdote -. «¿Cuál es la carga de Yahveh?» les dirás: «Vosotros sois la carga, y voy a dejaros en el suelo - oráculo de Yahveh -».
34 'As for the prophet, the priest, or anyone else, who says, "Yahweh's burden", I shall punish that man,and his household too.	34 Y el profeta, el sacerdote o cualquiera que dijere: «Una carga de Yahveh», yo me las entenderé con él y con su casa.
35 This is what you must say to one another, among yourselves, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or"What has Yahweh said?"	35 Así os diréis cada uno a su prójimo, y cada uno a su hermano: «¿Qué ha respondido Yahveh?, ¿qué ha dicho Yahveh?»
36 But stop using the expression "Yahweh's burden", for what each man says will be his ownresponsibility. And you twist the words of the living God, of Yahweh Sabaoth, our God.	36 Pero de eso de la «carga de Yahveh» no os acordaréis más, porque tal carga sería para cada uno su propia palabra. Porque trastornáis las palabras del Dios vivo, Yahveh Sebaot nuestro Dios.
37 This is the way to speak to a prophet, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or "What has Yahwehsaid?"	37 Así diréis al profeta: «¿Qué te ha respondido Yahveh?, ¿qué ha dicho Yahveh?»
38 But if you say, "Yahweh's burden", then Yahweh says this, "Since you use the expression 'Yahweh'sburden', when I have warned you to stop saying, 'Yahweh's burden',	38 Pero como habléis de «carga de Yahveh», entonces así dice Yahveh: «Por haber dicho eso de carga de Yahveh por más que os avisé que no dijerais carga de Yahveh,
39 believe me, I shal pick you up and fling you from my presence, you and the city I gave to you and toyour ancestors.	39 por lo mismo, he aquí que yo os levanto en alto y os dejo caer a vosotros y a la ciudad que os di a vosotros y a vuestros padres.
40 I shal bring down everlasting shame on you, everlasting and unforgettable disgrace." '	40 Y os pondré encima oprobio eterno y baldón eterno que no será olvidado».
