1 'Disaster for the shepherds who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, Yahweh declares.	1 Guai contro i pastori, che dispergono, e lacerano il gregge del mio ovile, dice il Signore.
2 This, therefore, is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the shepherds who shepherd my people,"You have scattered my flock, you have driven them away and have not taken care of them. Right, I shal takecare of you for your misdeeds, Yahweh declares!	2 Per questo così parla il Signore Dio d'Israele ai pastori, che pascono il mio popolo: Voi avete disperso il mio gregge, e avete cacciato fuora, e non lo avete visitato: ecco, che io visiterò voi a motivo della malvagità delle vostre inclinazioni, dice il Signore.
3 But the remnant of my flock I myself shal gather from all the countries where I have driven them, andbring them back to their folds; they will be fruitful and increase in numbers.	3 Ed io raunerò gli avanzi del gregge mio da tutte le terre, dov'io gli avrò cacciati, e farolli tornare alle loro possessioni; e cresceranno, e moltiplicheranno
4 For them I shall raise up shepherds to shepherd them and pasture them. No fear, no terror for themany more; not one shal be lost, Yahweh declares!	4 E faro sorgere per essi dei pastori, o che li pasceranno: Non avranno più umori, né paure: e de loro numero, non mancherà veruno, dice il Signore
5 Look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal raise an upright Branch for David; he willreign as king and be wise, doing what is just and upright in the country.	5 Ecco, che vengono i giorni, dice il Signore, ed io susciterò a Davidde un Germe giusto, e regnerà come re, e sarà sapiente, e renderà ragione, e farà giustizia in terra.
6 In his days Judah wil triumph and Israel live in safety. And this is the name he wil be called, 'Yahweh-is-our-Saving-Justice.' "	6 In que' giorni Giuda avrà salute; e Israele viverà tranquillo: e questo è il nome, col quale egli sarà chiamato: Il Giusto Signore nostro.
7 'So, look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when people wil no longer say, "As Yahweh liveswho brought the Israelites out of Egypt,"	7 Per questo verrà tempo, dice il Signore, quando non diran più: Vive il Signore, che trasse i figliuoli d'Israele dalla terra d'Egitto,
8 but, "As Yahweh lives who led back and brought home the offspring of the House of Israel from theland of the north and all the countries to which he had driven them, to live on their own soil." '	8 Ma (diranno): Vive il Signore, il quale ha tratto, ed ha condotto il seme ella casa d'Israele dalla terra di settentrione, e da tutte le terre, pelle quali io lo avea disperso, e abiteranno la loro terra.
9 On the prophets. My heart is broken within me, I tremble in al my bones; I am like a drunken man, likea man overcome with wine, because of Yahweh and his holy words:	9 Quanto ai profeti: Il mio cuore è spezzato dentro di me, tutte le mie ossa sono in fremito: son diventato come un ubbriaco, e come uomo zuppo di vino alla considerazione del Signore, e alla considerazione delle sue sante parole.
10 'For the country is ful of adulterers; yes, because of a curse, the country is in mourning and thepasturage in the desert has dried up; they are prompt to do wrong, make no effort to do right.	10 Perchè piena è la terra di adulteri, perchè a motivo delle bestemmie la terra è in lutto; sono arsi i campi del deserto: il corso loro è cattivo, e sono forti non per la giustizia;
11 Yes, even prophet and priest are godless, I have detected their wickedness in my own House,Yahweh declares.	11 Imperocché e il profeta, e il sacerdote sono immondi: e nella casa mia ho trovata la loro malvagità, dice il Signore.
12 Because of this, their way wil prove treacherous going for them; in the darkness where they aredriven, there they wil fall. For I shal bring disaster on them, when the year for punishing them comes, Yahwehdeclares.	12 Per questo il loro cammino sarà quasi per istrada sdrucciola al buio perocché inciamperanno, e vi caderanno: dappoiché io farò venire sciagure sopra di essi, il tempo di lor punizione, dice il Signore.
13 'In the prophets of Samaria I have seen insanity: they prophesied in the name of Baal and led mypeople Israel astray.	13 Come io vidi ne' profeti di Samaria l'insensataggine: profetavano nel nome di Baal, e ignannavano il mio popolo d'Israele;
14 But in the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: adultery, persistent lying, suchabetting of the wicked that no one renounces his wickedness. To me they are al like Sodom and its inhabitantsare like Gomorrah.	14 Così i profeti di Gerusalemme gli ho veduti imitare gli adulteri, e seguir la menzogna: ed eglino han fatto coraggio alla turba de' malvagi, affinchè non si convertisse ciascheduno di essi dalla loro malvagità: son diventati per me come Sodoma, e gli abitatori di lei come Gomorra.
15 So this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about the prophets, "Now I shal give them wormwood to eatand make them drink poisoned water, since from the prophets of Jerusalem godlessness has spread throughoutthe land."	15 Per questo così parla il Signore degli eserciti ai profeti: Io li ciberò di assenzio, e gli abbevererò col fiele: imperocché da' profeti di Gerusalemme si e sparsa l'immondezza per tutta la terra.
16 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Do not listen to what those prophets prophesy to you; they are deludingyou, they retail visions of their own, and not what comes from Yahweh's mouth.	16 Queste cose dice il Signor degli eserciti: Non ascoltate le parole de' profeti, i quali profetizzano a voi, e vi gabbano: pronunziano le visioni del loro cuore, e non parole della bocca del Signore.
17 To those who despise me, they keep saying: Yahweh has spoken: you wil have peace! and to al whofol ow their own stubborn inclinations: No disaster wil touch you."	17 Essi dicono a coloro, che mi bestemmiano: Il Signore ha parlato: Voi avrete pace: e tutti coloro, che seguono il depravato lor cuore, han detto: Non verrà sciagura sopra di voi.
18 But who has been present in Yahweh's council and seen, and heard his word? Who has paidattention to his word and listened to it?	18 Ma, e chi assistè al consiglio del Signore, e lo vide, e udì il suo parlare? chi penetrò la Parola di lui, e la comprese?
19 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a fearsome hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;	19 Ecco, che il turbine dello sdegno del Signore scapperà fuora, e la tempesta, rotto ogni argine, verrà sulla testa degli empj.
20 Yahweh's anger wil not withdraw until he has performed, has carried out, what he has in mind. In thefinal days, you wil understand this clearly,	20 Non cesserà il furor del Signore, fino a tanto che abbia eseguiti, e adempiuti i disegni della mente di lui. Il consiglio di lui lo comprenderete voi negli ultimi giorni.
21 'I did not send these prophets, yet they ran! I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied!	21 Io non mandava questi profeti, ed ei correvano: io non parlava ad essi, ed eglino profetavano.
22 Had they been present in my council, they could have proclaimed my words to my people and turnedthem from their evil way and from the wickedness of their deeds!	22 Se fossero intervenuti al mio consiglio, e avessero intimate al mio popolo le mie parole, gli avrei certamente convertiti dalla mala lor vita, e dalle pessime loro inclinazioni.
23 'Am I a God when near, Yahweh demands, and not a God when far away?	23 Credi tu, ch'io sia Dio da vicino (dice il Signore), e non Dio da lontano?
24 Can anyone hide somewhere secret without my seeing him? Yahweh demands. Do I not fil heavenand earth? Yahweh demands.	24 Potrà forse occultarsi un uomo ne' suoi nascondigli, sicché io non lo vegga, dice il Signore? Non empio forse io il cielo, e la terra, dice il Signore?
25 'I have heard what the prophets say who make their lying prophecies in my name. "I have had adream," they say, "I have had a dream!"	25 Ho udito quello, che dicono i profeti, che profetizzano nel nome mio la menzogna, e dicono: Ho sognato: ho sognato.
26 How long are there to be those among the prophets who prophesy lies and are in fact prophets oftheir own delusions?	26 E fino a quando avranno ciò in cuore i profeti, che profetizzano menzogne, e annunziano le seduzioni del loro cuore?
27 They are doing their best, by means of the dreams that they keep tel ing each other, to make mypeople forget my name, just as their ancestors forgot my name in favour of Baal.	27 I quali voglion far sì, che si scordi del nome mio il mio popolo, per dar retta a' sogni, che ognuno di essi racconta al suo prossimo: come del nome mio si scordarono i padri loro per amore di Baal.
28 Let the prophet who has had a dream tel it for a dream! And let him who receives a word from me,deliver my word accurately! 'What have straw and wheat in common? Yahweh demands.	28 Il profeta, che sogna, racconti il sogno: e chi è depositario di mia parola, annunzi la Parola mia con verità: che han da fare col grano le paglie, dice il Signore?
29 Is my word not like fire, Yahweh demands, is it not like a hammer shattering a rock?	29 Non son' elleno le mie parole come il fuoco, dice il Signore, e come martello, che stritola il sasso?
30 'So, then, I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, that steal my words from one another.	30 Per questo eccomi ai profeti, dice il Signore, i quali rubano le mie parole, ciascheduno al suo fratello.
31 I have a quarrel with the prophets, Yahweh declares, who wag their tongues to utter prophecies.	31 Eccomi ai profeti (dice il Signore), i quali si formano il proprio linguaggio, e dicono: Dice il Signore.
32 I have a quarrel with the prophets who make prophecies out of lying dreams, Yahweh declares, whorecount them, and lead my people astray by their lies and their bragging. I certainly never sent them orcommissioned them, and they serve no good purpose for this people, Yahweh declares.	32 Eccomi ai profeti, che sognano menzogne, dice il Signore, e le raccontano, e seducono il popol mio colle loro menzogne, e co' loro prodigi; quand'io non gli avea mandati, né data commissione a costoro, che non han fatto bene alcuno a questo popolo, dice il Signore.
33 'And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest, asks you, "What is Yahweh's burden?" you mustanswer, "You are the burden, and I shal get rid of you, Yahweh declares!"	33 Se adunque ti interrogherà questo popolo, od un profeta, od un sacerdote, e dirà: Quale il peso del Signore? tu dirai loro: Voi siete il peso: perocché io vi getterò via, dice il Signore.
34 'As for the prophet, the priest, or anyone else, who says, "Yahweh's burden", I shall punish that man,and his household too.	34 E se un profeta, un sacerdote, o alcuno del popolo dirà: Peso del Signore: visiterò io un tal uomo, e la casa di lui.
35 This is what you must say to one another, among yourselves, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or"What has Yahweh said?"	35 Ognun di voi dirà al suo prossimo, e al suo fratello: Che è quello, che ha risposto il Signore? e che ha egli detto il Signore?
36 But stop using the expression "Yahweh's burden", for what each man says will be his ownresponsibility. And you twist the words of the living God, of Yahweh Sabaoth, our God.	36 E non si nominerà più il peso del Signore; perchè a ciascheduno sarà suo peso la sua parola; perchè voi avete pervertite le parole di Dio vivo, del Signor degli eserciti Dio nostro.
37 This is the way to speak to a prophet, "What answer has Yahweh given?" or "What has Yahwehsaid?"	37 Tu dirai al profeta: Che t'ha egli risposto il Signore? e che ha egli detto il Signore?
38 But if you say, "Yahweh's burden", then Yahweh says this, "Since you use the expression 'Yahweh'sburden', when I have warned you to stop saying, 'Yahweh's burden',	38 Che se voi direte: Peso del Signore, per questo cosi dice il Signore: Perchè avete detta questa parola: Peso del Signore; quand'io mandai a dirvi: Non istate a dire: Peso del Signore;
39 believe me, I shal pick you up and fling you from my presence, you and the city I gave to you and toyour ancestors.	39 Per questo ecco, che io vi piglierò, e vi porterò, e vi abbandonerò lungi dalla mia faccia, e voi, e la città, ch'io diedi a voi, e ai padri vostri.
40 I shal bring down everlasting shame on you, everlasting and unforgettable disgrace." '	40 E farovvi argomento di obbrobrio sempiterno, e di eterna ignominia, dicui non si cancellerà mai la memoria.
