Jeremiah 1

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblija Hrvatski
1 The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests living at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin.	1 Riječi Jeremije, sina Hilkijina, svećenika iz Anatota, u zemlji Benjaminovoj.
2 The word of Yahweh came to him in the days of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenthyear of his reign;	2 Njemu dođe riječ Jahvina, u dane Jošije, sina Amonova, kralja Judina, trinaeste godine vladanja njegova:
3 then in the days of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiahson of Josiah, king of Judah, until the deportation of Jerusalem, in the fifth month.	3 zatim u dane Jojakima, sina Jošijina, kralja Judina, do svršetka jedanaeste godine Sidkije, sina Jošijina, kralja Judeje sve do Jeruzalema, u petom mjesecu izgnanstva.
4 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying:	4 Dođe mi riječ Jahvina:
5 'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you came to birth I consecrated you; I appointedyou as prophet to the nations.'	5 »Prije nego što te oblikovah u majčinoj utrobi, ja te znadoh; prije nego što iz krila majčina izađe, ja te posvetih, za proroka svim narodima postavih te.«
6 I then said, 'Ah, ah, ah, Lord Yahweh; you see, I do not know how to speak: I am only a child!'	6 A ja rekoh: »Ah, Gospode Jahve, gle, ja ne umijem govoriti: dijete sam.«
7 But Yahweh replied, 'Do not say, "I am only a child," for you must go to all to whom I send you and saywhatever I command you.	7 A Jahve mi odvrati: »Ne govori: ‘Dijete sam!’ Već idi k onima kojima te šaljem i reci sve ono što ću ti narediti.
8 Do not be afraid of confronting them, for I am with you to rescue you, Yahweh declares.'	8 Ne boj ih se: jer ja sam s tobom da te izbavim«, riječ je Jahvina.
9 Then Yahweh stretched out his hand and touched my mouth, and Yahweh said to me: 'There! I have putmy words into your mouth.	9 I tada Jahve pruži ruku, dotače se usta mojih i reče: »Evo, u usta tvoja stavljam riječi svoje.
10 Look, today I have set you over the nations and kingdoms, to uproot and to knock down, to destroy andto overthrow, to build and to plant.'	10 Gle: postavljam te danas nad narode i kraljevstva, da istrebljuješ i rušiš, da zatireš i ništiš, da gradiš i sadiš.«
11 The word of Yahweh came to me, asking, 'Jeremiah, what do you see?' I answered, 'I see a branch ofthe Watchful Tree.'	11 I dođe mi riječ Jahvina: »Što vidiš, Jeremija?« A ja ću: »Vidim granu bademovu.«
12 Then Yahweh said, 'Wel seen, for I am watching over my word to perform it.'	12 Tada mi Jahve reče: »Dobro vidiš, jer ja bdim nad riječima svojim da ih ispunim!«
13 A second time the word of Yahweh came to me, asking, 'What do you see?' I answered, 'I see acooking pot on the boil, with its mouth tilting from the north.'	13 I dođe mi riječ Jahvina: »Što vidiš?« A ja ću: »Vidim uzavrio lonac, a otvor mu gleda na sjever.«
14 Then Yahweh said: 'From the north disaster wil come boiling over on all who live in the country,	14 I Jahve mi reče: »Sa sjevera buknut će zlo protiv svih stanovnika ove zemlje.
15 for I am now summoning al the families of the kingdoms of the north, Yahweh declares. They wilcome, and each wil set his throne in front of the gates of Jerusalem, al round, against its wal s and against althe towns of Judah.	15 Jer, evo, ja ću sazvati sva sjeverna kraljevstva« – riječ je Jahvina. »I ona će doći: svako će od njih staviti svoje prijestolje pred ulaz vrata Jeruzalema, protiv svih zidina njegovih, i protiv svih gradova judejskih.
16 I shal pronounce my judgements on them because of al their wickedness, since they have abandonedme, offering incense to other gods and worshipping what their own hands have made.	16 I sudit ću im za sve opačine njihove; zato što me ostaviše, zato što kadiše drugim bogovima i klanjahu se djelima ruku svojih.
17 'As for you, prepare yourself for action. Stand up and tel them al I command you. Have no fear ofthem and in their presence I wil make you fearless.	17 Ti bedra svoja sad opaši, ustaj, pa ćeš im govoriti sve što ću tebi zapovjediti. Ne dršći pred njima, da ne bih morao učiniti da uzdršćeš pred njima.
18 For look, today I have made you into a fortified city, a pil ar of iron, a wal of bronze to stand against thewhole country: the kings of Judah, its princes, its priests and the people of the country.	18 Danas te, evo, postavljam kao grad utvrđeni, kao stup željezni, k’o zidinu brončanu protiv sve zemlje: protiv kraljeva i knezova judejskih, svećenika i naroda ove zemlje.
19 They will fight against you but wil not overcome you, for I am with you, Yahweh declares, to rescueyou.'	19 I borit će se s tobom, al’ te neće nadvladati, jer ja sam s tobom da te izbavim«, riječ je Jahvina.
