Leviticus 10

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, put fire in it and incense on the fire, andpresented unauthorised fire before Yahweh, which was not in accordance with his orders.	1 Os filhos de Aarão, Nadab e Abiú, tomaram cada um o seu turíbulo, puseram neles fogo e incenso e ofereceram ao Senhor um fogo estranho, que não lhes tinha sido ordenado.
2 At this a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and swal owed them up, and they perished beforeYahweh.	2 Saiu, então, um fogo de diante do Senhor que os devorou, e morreram diante do Senhor.
3 Moses then said to Aaron, 'That is what Yahweh meant when he said: In those who are close to me Ishow my holiness, and before al the people I show my glory.' Aaron remained silent.	3 Moisés disse a Aarão: "Era isso o que o Senhor tinha anunciado quando disse: serei santificado naqueles que se aproximam de mim, e serei glorificado em presença de todo o povo". Aarão calou-se.
4 Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron's uncle Uzziel, and said to them, 'Come hereand take your brothers away from the sanctuary, out of the camp.'	4 Moisés chamou Misael e Elisafon, filhos de Oziel, tio de Aarão, e disse-lhes: "Vinde e levai vossos irmãos para longe do santuário, fora do acampamento".
5 They came and carried them away, still in their tunics, out of the camp, as Moses had said.	5 Eles vieram e levaram-nos com suas túnicas para fora do acampamento, como Moisés lhes dissera.
6 Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Do not disorder your hair or tear your clothes;or you may incur death and his retribution may overtake the whole community. No, it is for the entire House ofIsrael to lament your brothers who have been the victims of Yahweh's fire.	6 Moisés disse a Aarão, a Eleazar e a Itamar: "Não descubrais as cabeças, nem rasgueis as vossas vestes; não suceda que morrais e que se levante a ira do Senhor contra toda a assembléia. Vossos irmãos e toda a casa de Israel chorem por causa do incêndio que o Senhor acendeu;
7 To avoid incurring death, do not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for Yahweh's anointing oilis on you.' And they did as Moses said.	7 vós, porém, não deixareis a entrada da tenda de reunião, para que não morrais, porque o óleo de unção do Senhor está sobre vós". E obedeceram à palavra de Moisés.
8 Yahweh spoke to Aaron and said:	8 O Senhor disse a Aarão:
9 'When you come to the Tent of Meeting, you and your sons with you, to avoid incurring death you maynot drink wine or any other fermented liquor. This is a perpetual law for all your descendants.	9 "Não beberás vinho nem cerveja, tu e teus filhos, quando entrardes na tenda de reunião, para que não morrais. Esta é uma lei perpétua para vossos descendentes,
10 And so shal it be also when you separate the sacred from the profane, the unclean from the clean,	10 a fim de que estejais sempre em condições de discernir o que é santo do que é profano, o puro do impuro,
11 and when you teach the Israelites any of the decrees that Yahweh has pronounced for them throughMoses.'	11 e de ensinar aos israelitas todas as leis que o Senhor lhes deu por Moisés."
12 Moses said to Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Take the cereal offering left overfrom the food burnt for Yahweh. Eat the unleavened part of it beside the altar, since it is especial y holy.	12 Moisés disse a Aarão, e Eleazar e a Itamar, os dois filhos sobreviventes de Aarão: "Tomai a oblação que resta dos sacrifícios pelo fogo ao Senhor e comei-a sem fermento junto do altar, porque esta é uma coisa santíssima.
13 Eat it in the holy place, since it is the portion of the food burnt for Yahweh that is prescribed for youand your sons; this is the order I have received.	13 Vós a comereis em um lugar santo, porquanto essa parte dos sacrifícios feitos pelo fogo ao Senhor é tua e de teus filhos, como me foi prescrito.
14 'You, your sons and daughters with you, wil eat in a clean place the forequarter offered and the thighpresented, for these have been given to you and your children as your due from the Israelites' communionsacrifices.	14 Comereis, também, em lugar limpo, tu, teus filhos e tuas filhas, o peito que foi agitado e a coxa que foi separada. Isto é o que vos toca a ti e a teus filhos como parte dos sacrifícios pacíficos dos israelitas.
15 The thigh presented and the forequarter offered, once the fat has been burnt, revert to you and yoursons with you, after they have been presented before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in virtue of aperpetual law as Yahweh has ordered.'	15 Além das gorduras que deverão ser queimadas, trarão a coxa e o peito separados para agitá-los adiante do Senhor. Assim deve ser para ti e teus filhos em virtude de uma lei perpétua, assim como prescreveu o Senhor".
16 Moses then enquired careful y about the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, and found that they hadburnt it. He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's surviving sons, and said,	16 Moisés se informou acerca do bode imolado pelo pecado, mas eis que ele tinha sido já queimado. Irou-se, então, contra Eleazar e Itamar, os últimos filhos de Aarão:
17 'Why did you not eat this victim for sin in the holy place, since it is especial y holy and was given toyou to take away the community's guilt, by performing the rite of expiation for them before Yahweh?	17 "Por que, disse ele, não comestes no lugar santo o sacrifício pelo pecado? Pois essa é uma coisa santíssima que o Senhor vos deu, a fim de que leveis a iniqüidade da assembléia e façais a expiação por ela diante dele.
18 Since its blood was not taken inside the sanctuary, you should have eaten its meat there, as Iordered you.'	18 Já que o sangue da vítima não foi trazido para dentro do tabernáculo, vós devíeis tê-la comido em um lugar santo como ordenei."
19 Aaron said to Moses, 'Look, today they offered their sacrifice for sin and their burnt offering beforeYahweh, and these disasters have befal en me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would this have met withYahweh's approval?'	19 Aarão disse-lhe: "Eles ofereceram hoje seu sacrifício pelo pecado e seu holocausto ao Senhor; mas, depois do que me aconteceu, se eu tivesse comido hoje a vítima pelo pecado, teria isso agradado ao Senhor?"
20 And when Moses heard this, he was satisfied.	20 Moisés, ouvindo essas palavras, deu-se por satisfeito.
