Leviticus 10

1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, put fire in it and incense on the fire, andpresented unauthorised fire before Yahweh, which was not in accordance with his orders.	1 E Nadab e Abiu figliuoli d'Aronne presi i turiboli vi misero del fuoco, e sopra d'esso gettaron incenso, offerendo dinanzi al Signore fuoco straniero: lo che non era stato loro ordinato.
2 At this a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and swal owed them up, and they perished beforeYahweh.	2 Ma un fuoco venuto dal Signore li divorò, e morirono dinanzi al Signore.
3 Moses then said to Aaron, 'That is what Yahweh meant when he said: In those who are close to me Ishow my holiness, and before al the people I show my glory.' Aaron remained silent.	3 E Mosè disse ad Aronne: Questo è quello che ha detto il Signore: Farò conoscere la mia santità in coloro, che si appressano a me, e sarò glorificato al cospetto di tutto il popolo. Ciò avendo udito Aronne si tacque.
4 Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron's uncle Uzziel, and said to them, 'Come hereand take your brothers away from the sanctuary, out of the camp.'	4 E Mosè chiamò Misaele, ed Elisaphan figliuoli di Oziel zio d'Aronne e disse loro: Andate, e togliete i vostri fratelli dal cospetto del Santuario, e portateli fuori degli alloggiamenti.
5 They came and carried them away, still in their tunics, out of the camp, as Moses had said.	5 E quelli subito andarono, e li portarono via vestiti, come erano, delle tonache di lino, e li gettarono fuora, come era stato loro comandato.
6 Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Do not disorder your hair or tear your clothes;or you may incur death and his retribution may overtake the whole community. No, it is for the entire House ofIsrael to lament your brothers who have been the victims of Yahweh's fire.	6 E Mosè disse ad Aronne, e ad Eleazar, e Ithamar suoi figliuoli: Non discoprite le vostre teste, e non stracciate le vostre vesti, affinché non moriate, e non venga il gastigo sopra tutto il popolo. I vostri fratelli, e tutta la casa d'Israele menin duolo per ragion dell'incendio acceso dal Signore;
7 To avoid incurring death, do not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for Yahweh's anointing oilis on you.' And they did as Moses said.	7 Ma voi non uscirete fuor della porta del tabernacolo, altrimenti perirete: perocché avete sopra di voi l’olio di unzione santa. Fecero quegli in tutto e per tutto, come aveva ordinato Mosè.
8 Yahweh spoke to Aaron and said:	8 Disse anche il Signore ad Aronne:
9 'When you come to the Tent of Meeting, you and your sons with you, to avoid incurring death you maynot drink wine or any other fermented liquor. This is a perpetual law for all your descendants.	9 Non berete vino tu, e i tuoi figliuoli, né altro, che possa inebriare, quando entrate nel tabernacolo del testimonio, affinché non muoiate: questo è un comandamento sempiterno per la vostra posterità;
10 And so shal it be also when you separate the sacred from the profane, the unclean from the clean,	10 E affinché abbiate scienza da saper discernere tra'l santo e profano, tra'l mondo e l’immondo:
11 and when you teach the Israelites any of the decrees that Yahweh has pronounced for them throughMoses.'	11 E insegniate a' figliuoli d'Israele tutte le mie leggi, quali io le ho intimate loro per mezzo di Mosè.
12 Moses said to Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Take the cereal offering left overfrom the food burnt for Yahweh. Eat the unleavened part of it beside the altar, since it is especial y holy.	12 E Mosè disse ad Aronne, e ad Eleazar, e Ithamar, che eran rimasi a lui de' suoi figliuoli: Prendete quel che è restato del sacrifizio del pane offerto al Signore, e mangiatelo senza lievito presso l’altare; perocché è cosa sacrosanta;
13 Eat it in the holy place, since it is the portion of the food burnt for Yahweh that is prescribed for youand your sons; this is the order I have received.	13 E voi la mangerete nel luogo santo, perché è cosa assegnata a te, e a' tuoi figliuoli delle obblazioni pel Signore, come è stato a me ordinato.
14 'You, your sons and daughters with you, wil eat in a clean place the forequarter offered and the thighpresented, for these have been given to you and your children as your due from the Israelites' communionsacrifices.	14 Parimente il petto, che è stato offerto, e la spalla separata la mangerete in luogo perfettamente mondo tu, e i tuoi figliuoli, e le tue figlie con teco: perocché sono cose riserbate per te, e pe’ tuoi figliuoli di tutte le ostie pacifiche de' figliuoli d'Israele,
15 The thigh presented and the forequarter offered, once the fat has been burnt, revert to you and yoursons with you, after they have been presented before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in virtue of aperpetual law as Yahweh has ordered.'	15 Perché essi hanno alzato in alto dinanzi al Signore la spalla, il petto, e i grassumi, che si abbruciano sull'altare: per questo quelle cose saranno tue e de' tuoi figliuoli per legge sempiterna, come ha ordinato il Signore.
16 Moses then enquired careful y about the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, and found that they hadburnt it. He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's surviving sons, and said,	16 Frattanto Mosè avendo fatta ricerca del capro, che era stato offerto per il peccato, trovò che era stato bruciato: e si adirò contro Eleazar e Ithamar, i due figliuoli rimasi di Aronne, e disse:
17 'Why did you not eat this victim for sin in the holy place, since it is especial y holy and was given toyou to take away the community's guilt, by performing the rite of expiation for them before Yahweh?	17 Per qual ragione non avete voi mangiato l’ostia per il peccato, che è sacrosanta nel luogo santo, essendo ella stata a voi data, affinché portiate la iniquità del popolo, e facciate orazione per lui nel cospetto del Signore,
18 Since its blood was not taken inside the sanctuary, you should have eaten its meat there, as Iordered you.'	18 Tanto più, che del sangue di essa non n'è stato portato nel santuario, e voi dovevate mangiarla nel santuario, come fu a me comandato?
19 Aaron said to Moses, 'Look, today they offered their sacrifice for sin and their burnt offering beforeYahweh, and these disasters have befal en me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would this have met withYahweh's approval?'	19 Rispose Aronne: Oggi si è offerta la vittima per il peccato, e l’olocausto dinanzi al Signore; e a me è avvenuto quel che tu vedi: come poteva io mangiare di quell'ostia, o piacere al Signore facendo quella cerimonia con animo afflitto?
20 And when Moses heard this, he was satisfied.	20 Ciò avendo udito Mosè, accettò la scusa.
